🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿 The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality. ⸻ 💧 Watering Strategy We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages: • Stronger root growth searching for water • Better oxygenation of the root zone • Less risk of root rot in warm temps Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well. ⸻ Current Feeding (per L of water) • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead • AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control • First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days • We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set • Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues ⸻ 💚 Closing Note: This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. Vamos familia, actualizamos la octava semana de floración de estas Granny’s Home de Seedstockers, salieron las 2 de 3, 66% ratio éxito. Temperatura y humedad dentro de los rangos correctos dentro de la etapa de floración. La tierra utilizada es al mix top crop, por cambiar. De 2 ejemplares me quede con los 2 para completar el indoor, también cambie el fotoperiodo a 12/12 y aplique una poda de bajos, se ven bien sanas las plantas, tienen un buen color progresan a muy buen ritmo por el momento, las flores están madurando y llevan una tricomada increíble, también las tuve esta semana solo agua porque creo que no necesitan más alimentación aún quedando unos días por delante, hasta aquí todo. Hello Diary, White Widow has finished its second week of flowering. The areas around the flowers themselves are lighter, due to the young leaves and the pistils themselves on the flowers, so it is clearly visible where all the flowers are forming. I am happy with how the flowers are developing and I therefore have much more motivation to take photos. White Widow has started to stagnate in growth, this week she has grown 13 cm., the most compared to her roommates on the "Farm". I would say that at this stage White Widow is taking on her final form and will now direct most of her energy into the development of the flowers. The leaves are a healthy dark green color and so far I do not show any signs that the plant is lacking anything. Watering was every three days, I continued to add CalMg and Bio-Bloom Fertilizer. The conditions in the grow box are now much better. The temperature is around 28 degrees and the humidity is below 50%. White Widow is generally progressing great, which I am very happy about. Here is a short overview of the week. 24/08/2024 - Day 31. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water. I added CalMg 1 ml/liter, Bio-Bloom Fertiliser 1.5 ml/liter and then lowered the p.H. to 6.0. With this amount I watered all three plants evenly. 27/08/2024 - Day 34. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier. 28/08/2024 - Day 35. End of the second week of flowering, or the fifth week from the beginning of the vegetation. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants. she is in her last stage ... after a lot of patience ... just one more week for her ... she does not look perfect like others ... she fought against all the plagues and she resisted very well .. .. continues with its smell of pine. mint ... and its typical smell indica ... it has 154 days from its germination .... on April 29 will have 100 days of flowering and will be the day of your court ...

Watermelon auto is hurting this week. The neem oil spray is always so harsh on my plants. I am trying a different a way of spraying them, spray, wait a half hour, and rinse off. But leave on the under side of leaves. Since they like to hide there. Hopefully it will help. I have not seen new ones on this plant. They were on another. It has been a horrible year for issues in my grows. 4/19: I foliar fed her today. 4/20: I fed her with full strength veg nutes for the first time today....it's ON! 4/22: I FIM'd her today and gave her about 20oz of water with cal-mag, humic acid, and boomerang and foliar fed with big bloom and fulvic acid. Later, I rinsed off all the plants with a stiff stream of filtered water in preparation for tomorrow. 4/23: Today was BoomBoom Spray day! I just love how visible the growth is the day after a BoomBoom Spray day!😲 Tomorrow I'll spray her down with Axiom Harpin a|b proteins. Tomorrow, I'll probably move her into my little tent for another week or so. Then she's gonna take off... to the great outdoors. 4/24: I did a foliar application of Harpin proteins today and I fed them with about 1/4-gallon each. I observed that they are both popping pistils already. I'll start increasing P and K with the next feeding. I turned on the 3rd pair of QB's and bud boosters today and removed all the blues and cool whites from the garden. 4/25: Was busy with life, but checked on her a couple of times. She's happy. soooo purrrrrddddyyyy! I'm thinking i'm about a week out but well see. Today is 54 of flowering. Noticed the first dying leaves a couple days ago but its coming on slow. The trichs are just craaazzzzzy!!! lol i hope shes a potent as she looks!!! hahhaa so many !!!!!!! but i'm excited!!! hahahha well, i hope the finish is smooth and we have a nice harvest here 😁

The girls look to be finishing the vegetative growth phase this week and are starting to switch full steam ahead into flower production ☺️☺️ Trichomes are also starting to form now and the smell is getting slightly stronger each day. Not much to be done this week just some defoliation and training to help open up the canopy’s. Peace ✌️

Beginning of week 4 in flowering and everything is coming along quite nicely. plants are loving there Remo nutes! just switched this tent over to a self watering drip system cause it was getting to be a real pain watering these girls by hand. Their siting in 7 gallon fabric pots and boy do they drink a mad amount of water/nutes! the pots are just packed with roots! really loving the Remo lineup of nutes so far! go Remo! Go Sports! Buds are starting to form nicely! Started to open up the bud sites a bit by tucking what i could but had to snip a few leaves up top to open a few lower sites up trying to get through.

And here we are... I washed my tent, I don't have time or money to have a new one, but I will change my extractor, too noisy. So I will put tonight my seeds in a glass of water then substrat.
