May4: nice spring day so plants were outside in the afternoon. Some direct sun but also protected in small greenhouse. Light watering with some nutrients. I’m using Monster Maxx this year. I used a free sample of it last year making compost teas and it seemed to work great. Early to use any nutes but I think it is okay. This stuff has regular N fertilizer (nitrate, urea, and ammonia) but also two bacteria strains that have been shown to work. I was looking at last year’s roots today and they are the densest and most intricate I’ve seen, so I think this stuff works as advertised. Will still use compost teas later this season but for now this should do fine. Prepped most of the soil. Cannabis gets the Grade A+ soil, and tomatoes and peppers get last years cannabis soil and some fresh compost. May 9: weather is great so decided to transplant into the final container. Culled second seedling that was slower and had asymmetrical leaves. May 10: still misting leaves to provide moisture. So far so good.

Amnesia: Chopped and now hanging in my drying area, looking nice and exuding scents of tropical fruit and sour pungency. Very satisfied with how she finished this time around. Gelato: Nice, plush looking nugs that are quite dense and smells sweet but with lime tinged pungent notes. Big stature as expected from this strain, promising signs for the yield to come. Watermelon Zkittlez: Sugar frosted, glittery buds that look headstash-quality right on the plant, definitely has bag appeal. Fruit Candy smell and encrusted colas resembling snow cones and christmas trees. California Orange: Mighty towers of shining, citrus juiced buds, with foxtails out the wazoo. Day 78- Flowering day 26- These OG girls are gettin thirstier by the day, I had to feed them yesterday because the soil is starting to dry out every 2-3 days now. I gave them what I've been giving them normally, about 1.5L for the big OG girls and about 1L for the small seed producer. I also put the clone in the back bathroom and tried my hand at pollinating it, we'll see how that turns out and I'll definitely wait to put this one back in the flowering tent because I'm not sure if the pollen was fully thawed but I got a lot of it on the pistils so I don't want to take any chances. I fed the BD about 2L of nutrient solution and she's only showing a very slight sign of overwatering but I'm sure she'll be recovered by the end of the day. All the plants in the tent have stopped stretching, I'm gonna have to remember how to train future plants like OG 1 because those buds are lookin absolutely fantastic. I made a mistake with OG 2 and didn't train it exactly the same so it stretched a bit too much and I doubt it's gonna yield as much as OG 1. Day 81- Flowering day 29- Well I think I’ve figured out what’s going on with OG 2 but we’ll see if I’m right. I think, aside from the heat stress it was under, there may be a slight nitrogen toxicity. OG 1 and BD have sucked up everything I’ve thrown at em without complaint but OG 2 still has some curled up leaves even though a lot of them have gotten better. I think it’s nitrogen toxicity because the leaf tips on my Green Crack just started curling downward and I know its not heat stress. The only thing that makes sense is too much nitrogen because I have been using more cal/mag than usual so today I just watered all the plants with molasses water and I’ll keep checking in on them. Also had to tie up some of the branches on OG 2, I’ve definitely gotta make sure to train plants in the future to not stretch so much cap that the branches will grow thicker and stronger.

Growing great. been adding calmag to the mix and she bounced back. Still a little yellow but the buds are growing nicely. Great trichome production To the touch it smells SO much like blueberries Im blown away and theres still more maturing to do! Excited to see how much more she fills out.

Flowers coming along well, with frost now developing. Nutrient strength increased now they're gonna be eating a lot more. Remo grow reduced slightly now they're slowing their growth, but Bloom and AstroFlower have been increased to favour PK for flower development. Day 28 will be the last day feeding Growth Tech Liquid Silicone as it takes the longest to completely flush out of the plant. I never feed silicone later than this in flower otherwise you risk hard, black ash with a horrible burn in the end.. More leaves have been stripped here and there to slow growth and to allow the light to penetrate deeper, uncovering flower sites. Leaf stripping is a great technique to stunt the growth of selected branches, allowing the others around to catch up and meet the top of the canopy more evenly 🦊

Definitely would’ve been better had I not moved but nonetheless it was a great run overall, super frosty and sticky with not very dense buds which made for a difficult trim but I didn’t mind.

1/14: This morning, I did a foliar application of big bloom and fulvic acid, then about 5 hours later I watered them with about a half-gallon of rainwater each and added armor si, humic acid, endoboost myco/tricho, liquid molasses, and a bunch of cal-mag. Today, I also I wired up and mounted my new samsung sun board strips (660nm/730nm) and my Solacure FlowerPower UVB fixture. I'm running the deep red/far red bud boosters a few hours per day right now, but will run them for the entire photoperiod once I start flowering them. I'll run the UVB for 4 * 15-minute sessions a day for the full flowering cycle, and if they don't protest too much I'll increase each session by 5 minutes and evaluate again. Some strains are more forgiving than others and I've got 5 different strains in this space...so really not sure much time I'll get away with exposing them to the deadly rays without damaging them too much...😈 1/15: I received one of the rapid led/growmau far red initiator pucks today. With the placement of my UVB light, I'm realizing I'll need another far red puck to have even and intense far red coverage, so I'm ordering another with Prime delivery and waiting to start flowering until I receive it. I sprayed them down really well with ph adjusted rainwater tonight to rinse off nutrient build-up from foliar applications. 1/16: I'm really excited to try flowering under 14/10. I grew photos indoors on an off for 15 years before I semi-retired. If I added up all the additional flowering time I could have done through the years if LED technology existed, I'd have had an extra truckload of bud to smoke. I did another application of Axiom Harpin a|b Proteins this evening, right before dark. I'm expecting a big growth burst this week, leading up to the flower stretch. I really need them to trigger under 14/10 within 4 or 5 days🙏 ...if not, I'll switch to 13/11 and wait a few more days🙏😟..if still no pistils are poppin, I'll go to 12/12 and chalk it up as bad luck or varietal indifference to Pr and Pfr manipulation. 1/17: I fed each of them about 3/4 gallon of full strength veg nutes. This will be the last. Hi all, sorry for the delay, all continues to go very well, she is handling the nutrients very well wit only a very little tip burn. I increased the light a little bit, as I felt that some of the main colas on the side didn't get enough light. Next week I will probably be able to show the little veg-box I built, since the cuttings are slowly outgrowing their current home.

So this week is the start of flower !! Woooohooo finally get to show what I'm made of ! Step one ) take all the big fan leaves Step two ) establish a "light line" and take all small shoots that are unable to get the proper amount of light due to their distance from the top of the canopy. * These are the places we all wish would grow ! These are also the places that are at risk of - hermaphroditism - mold - waste of energy for the plant. ** These are also some of the best places to take clones ** Continue to tie and secure everything in preparation of massize buds ! I hope some people looked at this like " This took way too much off " I took ALOT. Yes I push , I push hard to know how much they can take . Yes I would say 60% of plants DO NOT like a massive defoliating. But, the ones who do , you will unlock a yeild like never seen . It's the risk we take . One thing I have noticed is when I'm gonna defoli , I don't combone high stress or toping + a bunch of other techniques . Should have some pretty huge plants by two months !
