Week 11 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants
Hello, Grow Diaries fam! š±āØ This weekās update is all about setting up for the big transitionāweāre finally flipping these beauties into flower! But before we do, I took some important steps to ensure a smooth transition.
Defoliation & Why It Matters Before Flower
Before the flip, I gave them a thorough defoliation, clearing out lower and overcrowded leaves. Why? Because:
More Light Penetration ā Helps lower bud sites develop properly.
Better Airflow ā Reduces humidity buildup and risk of mold.
Focused Energy ā Encourages the plant to put energy into strong bud production instead of unnecessary foliage.
Of course, balance is keyāI trimmed enough to open things up but left plenty for healthy growth.
Final Pre-Flip Routine
ā¢ Temps & RH: Holding steady at 22Ā°C with 66% RH, keeping conditions ideal before flower.
ā¢ š§ Nutrients: Running the Aptus Holland Clean Feeding Approach with:
ā¢ Regulator for plant resilience.
ā¢ RO Water Conditioner to balance pH and improve uptake.
ā¢ System Clean, even though Iām not using a hydro system, to keep the root zone optimal.
ā¢ All-in-One Liquid, which is now the primary nutrient source.
ā¢ š Watering: Still bottom-watering to keep gnats away and encourage strong root growth.
36-48 Hours of Darkness Before the Flip
Before switching the room to 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness, Iāll be giving them a 36-48 hour dark period. This technique helps signal the plants that itās time to transition, leading to a faster and stronger flower initiation.

At least one if the ladies is ready to harvest. Just made a final check with the microscope and i think she is ready. I could wait a bit more for more amber heads but i think thats ok.

Let's remember, in week 6 one of my king's tart had been broken in 2 because of the tension due to my bad LST.
This plant grows much taller than the others. I'm trying to lower his height by doing HST. Currently she does not seem to complain about it.
I preferred to remove my net this week, to more easily access my plants and water them. I hope the branches will hold
I cut a lot of leaf this week. I hear different opinions that say it's beneficial others not... At least it will have the advantage of lowering the humidity.

- Water: tap water at 300 PPM, I add 0.7G of Hybrid powder and 0.3g of booster PK+ per liter to reach 950PPM and I adjust the PH to 5.8. I watered daily until water drained from the pot (to release nutrients from previous waterings) and I take a 3-4 day watering break to let it dry out before resuming a daily watering schedule.
-Daytime temperature: 22-26Ā°C
-Night temperature: 20-24Ā°C
-Humidity: 50-75% ( Too high but it's hard to lower it... I need advice please contact me if you have :) )
-Lamp: Mars Hydro FC3000. intensity 90% at 35cm from the top leaves
-Room: Mars Hydro 100x100x180cm
-Extractor: Mars hydro 402 CFM Max. power 3/10
-Substrate : 70% coco, 25% perlite, 5% vermiculite.

Week 10 Update
This week overall looks solid. The plant is in good health and has responded really well to the topping I did last week. The canopy has filled back out, itās denser, and the structure is becoming more balanced.
During this session I went in with a major defoliation, another topping, and some LST to shape the plant. Unfortunately, while doing the training, one of the junctions between a branch and the main stem cracked slightly. To support the recovery, I applied a small piece of tape as a bandage to help the plant heal and close the wound.
Structurally, we now have four main branches, each with two fresh tops ā which means eight apexes in total. The plan now is to let her recover gently and monitor how she develops over the next days.
Environmental conditions are stable. Temperatures have cooled a bit, averaging around 22ā23Ā°C, with relative humidity hovering close to 70%. This range feels comfortable for the plant.
Regarding pH, I no longer check the runoff in the saucers because it doesnāt make sense. Fresh nutrient solution leaving the reservoir at 5.9ā6.0 will measure fine at first, but three days later the leftover solution in the saucer gives a completely different number. Itās not representative, so I just focus on locking the reservoir pH between 5.9 and 6.0. The plant seems to handle this approach very well.
Nutrients remain unchanged for now. I may have added a touch of Rhino Skin, which I didnāt mention earlier in the diary, but itās there to start strengthening the plant tissues in preparation for heavier branches later.
So far, everything is steady. Weāll let her settle, recover, and keep following the evolution week by week.

The Bubble OG plants are looking awesome! My tallest one is stacking up with super dense buds. It's crazy to think that the other one is almost ready to chop ā the colors are so vibrant. And then there's that short and squat one with the purple leaves. It's definitely the oddball of the bunch, but I kind of like it.
The past few weeks have been so beautiful, watching the plants grow and change. It's amazing how something so small and fragile can turn into something so strong and vibrant. Now that they're getting ready to bloom, it feels a little bittersweet. I'm so excited to see the finished product, but I'll definitely miss having them around while they're growing.

They are growing really well. Added a humidifier at day 9. I have a seedling in rockwool still it is growing super slow. Root still not sticking out even tho it have been in the cube for 7 days now. Im feeding very light 40% strenght. I see how light green the leafs are and thats what im going for. I will up the strenght abit the following days. I been watering almost everyday. Started the first week with 0.1 liter now upped it to 0.2 liters per plant. I had the HPS light just a bit too close to the plants so i have some very slight curling on a few of the leafs. No problem i just move the light up 5cm. So far im very pleased with the growth rate

- upped light intensity to ca. 600 PPFD by taking of the domes of the E27 LEDs
- performed LST and defoliated larger leaves that were blocking the new nodes; snapped the main stem from Forbidden Cherry #1. Damn. She survived, but so much pain. Stupid beginner mistake. SheĀ“ll recover!
- Otherwise, great growth, no other issues.

All the girls looking good all have bud forming on their tops this strain has been really with no problems at all. All except one has staid short and bushy the one topped stretched up and fanned out real nice

Starting to get my first issues with what appears to be calcium deficiency and perhaps nitrogen deficiency as well. Bumped up the CALiMAGic to 2mL per gallon to try and turn it around. Measured runoff ph is 6.15 so I think still ok. Did not get a PPM measurement yet though. Assume I still have a few solid weeks of flowering to go.

Ok, so I forgot to take any pics on week two and holiday time week 3 came up real fast. so we are going to skip over any of the week two details. just watered em and they grew.
This week we did a nice little transplant into their final 2gal pots. Fortified with a bunch of amendments and Acti-Sol, everything is listed in the video. Any question just let me know.
I don't age my medium at all and I think I should start doing this to avoid some other things, I just find it hard to do it in winter time indoors as soil can be stinky with amendments and I like it to stay in the tent under the carbon filter.
Medium I used is 40% coir, 30% perlite, 20% compost, 10% vermiculite and 10% worm castings. Then the amendments are added into that at the rate of 30-60ml per 1Gal of medium. This batch has Gaia 4-4-4, Gaia Insect Frass, Giaia Diatomaceous Earth, Gaia Rock Dust, Acti-Sol Seaweed Meal, Acti-Sol Shrimp/Crab Meal, Acti-Sol 4-3-2, Acti-Sol 4-6-8 and Bokashi. Nice little mix, water it in with a bit of magnesium and microbes dissolved into the water. The bokashi should help break everything down and make a bit of a acidic environment for all the meals and rock dust to become available. Roots looked good, not a dense as some runs but still nice. I feel the soil might be a bit hot so will expect some burnage on them hopefully its nothing to crazy. Will ph down with a mix of citric, malic and ascorbic acids. They are in a rate of something like 50-60%/40-30%/5-10%, its written down in my of my notes just can't find the pad ATM.
Also more videos vs anything this week. I like em more but processing them is annoying AF.
Side note, my lights timer was on 12/12 not 16/8 so it explains why they went into bloom, switch it back and will top the plants next week one they start to reverse their ways and get comfortable in the new pots. Also got ride of the chive seed start as it was looking sad, plus I got a bunch of European chive varieties in the mail yesterday and want to try them out. see if they really have any different taste and what ones I like better.

Hello, again in touch Russian grower. Today my girls 70 days, 10 weeks. The fruits make me very happy, and the smell knocks me down. Soon I plan to make the harvest Bubblelicious Auto, my patience is not enough, and in appearance we can say that this is a full Mature flower.
Despite the additional air filtration and automated odor neutralizers for bathrooms, the smell is coming out the door. But it remains to endure quite a bit, so I'm not afraid. The most difficult is behind, but a lot of pleasant in the future.
Bubblelicious Auto - The smell of these plants has become simply stunning, like a hammer blow to the face, I hope the quality of the final product will not be worse. They look like beautiful porn Actresses š In the microscope I see amber trichomes.
Neville Haze Auto-lives up to my expectations. They do not have enough space for full flowering, but soon they will be spacious. Because of their neighbors, I can't really smell them. The plant is very cheerful, progressing, but I think it will bloom for at least three weeks.
I also have some good news, mail delivery brought me measuring instruments, so now my diaries will be more accurate.
