Hello again, dear growers! 🌱👋 We’ve officially stepped into Week 10 of this wild and fragrant journey! Last week ended with a little makeover for the girls—I defoliated about 30-40% of the leaves again. ✂️ The Gorilla decided to keep me on my toes by showing some nutrient deficiencies on her leaves—guess she didn’t get enough food after the flush. 🍌🌿 (Lesson learned: don’t keep a Gorilla hungry!) Now, let’s talk about Runtz! 😍 She’s an absolute queen—so photogenic that even my struggling phone can’t capture her real beauty. 📸✨ She’s forming into one giant, luscious bud, and her fragrance is something else entirely! 🕵️‍♂️ The carbon filter is fighting the good fight, but if the room isn’t aired out every 8-9 hours, a little aroma starts sneaking through. But opening the tent… oh, my friends, that’s where the magic happens! 🌬️💫 The aroma is intoxicating—imagine diving headfirst into a field of flowers while bees whisper secrets in your ears. 🌺🐝 I just sit there, enchanted, savoring the smell, and staring at these beauties like a hypnotized gardener. Honestly, it’s hard to walk away. 😂 Here’s their menu for the week: 🍵 Feed: A+B 4ml/L, Micro Chum 1ml/L, Big Bud 2ml/L 📊 PPM: 1050 | pH: 5.8 💧 Runoff: PPM 1000 | pH 6.0-6.3 Now, for the not-so-great news… I’m struggling with humidity levels—daytime sits around 65-77%, and at night, it can climb to a stubborn 80%. 🌫️ Temperature-wise, it’s 23-25°C during the day and drops to a cool 16-18°C at night. ❄️🔥 Despite the challenges, the endgame is near, and I’m savoring every moment of this grow! 🌟 🙌 Happy growing, everyone! 🌱🔥

Rough weekend for the girls. They seem to be pretty happy overall but Ph fluctuation in reservoir and mad salt build up in coco. Ended up flushing on day 62 with.... 32 litres Total (8L each) 40ml white vinegar 75ml Enzymes Complete (cleaning agent) Day 65- plants EC runoff is back at a normal level. Feeding 1300EC. runoff is at about 900EC. Going to wait a few more days and monitor runoff before upping the nutes again. Purchased Drip Clean to help with salt build up. Great reviews so let's see how it does. Should have flushed weeks ago. Oh well.

*********************************************************************************************************** START OF WEEK The Hawaiian Lion (right) and Tricho Jordan (left) are the two plants that dominate the face-on tent photos, and for good reason. Each of those plants is twice the mass of either Chimera. The HL is superior in bud sites, resin, and terp intensity, but the Tricho and the good Chimera #3 are both not too far off in resin production and aroma profiles. The weird runt is frosting up too, so we're looking at getting something unique and quality from each. That is, if I don't muck this up. I fed last night, and as part of that process, I mix my nutrients in a four gallon batch at a double(ish) strength. I then add that to my reservoir, which is shut off at that time. This allows me to work in the res, to both get the ppms right and the ph within range. I just use plain water to level off the ppms and then I adjust for ph. What I didn't do last night is TURN back on the flow of water from the reservoir. However, you wouldn't have guessed it from how the plants woke up today (see first image). I normally check the bases of each plant daily, and in doing so today, I noticed that one felt slight dry. All tanks were empty, but all plant bases were somewhere between wet to moist. This is how I spot check, and it's worked in the past. This isn't the first time these tanks have had a catastrophic issue leading to an unexpected no flow sitch. There's a filter that sits between the reservoir tank and the primary feed line. That has unexpectedly clogged on me in the past, but with no deleterious effect to the grow. That was caught within a day as well by testing the plant bases. I don't blame autopot for either event. Obviously, last night I was a baked potato and just forgot a step. The clog is because I use yucca in my mix, which is an organic material that over time in the reservoir leads to build up. I'm afraid to introduce hydrogen peroxide into the set-up, so I'm just maintaining my reservoir by cleaning it fully every other week for now. I don't want to kill off the bacteria in the environment. I'm also using some fungus, too, so I'd rather promote coexistence of a microbiome than serialize it, especially considering the plants seem to be on pace. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************** END OF WEEK Shit! I've got a herm. I've found four nanner clusters this week, all on the lower third-ish of the Hawaiian Lion. Someone, thankfully, spotted it in the purple flower pics. Turns out, while super fun to look at, those sweet violet flowers turned into harbingers of mother fucking doooooommm. I've never seen this before. I guess I've been fortunate, but I've also never had a camera this capable before either. I had no idea how small these pee pee's were. I guess I was expecting girth, but shame on me for not knowing. I rapidly learned as much as I could over the last two days, and I've come to the conclusion that I may or may not be screwed. The consensus on my situation ranges from either burn my tent down to thank ja for the blessings of feminized seeds. We're riding this baby out. I think I have fifteen to twenty days left and I think these little nanners might have been in action for ten days, hopefully less. I don't know what kind of damage will be done in that time, but honestly, I'm not too worried. While disappointing, my use case is a personal supply of bubble hash and flower rosin. If it's seedy, I'll wash most of it. I don't know what caused it, but I'm thinking a light leak or genetics. The environment is dialed and that plant hasn't shown one sign of anything less than vigor throughout. The spots that developed the purple flowers (lower bottom half to bottom quarter) are all in the vicinity of where I found the herms (four locations) and these locations are close to the edge of the tent along the zipper. I'm vigilant about keeping my tent and grow space in order, but a light leak can't be ruled out. I'll have to test that after the harvest. The herm flowers are minuscule and I'm surprised I found them. The camera was a great tool in this case. I sprayed the areas that I removed the nanners and then dried it, but for what it's worth, I think the damage was already done. That water bit felt more like ritual, but I'm still feeling optimistic that I'm not totally hosed.

Seguimos creciendo fuerte 💪!

Replaced nitrogen with omina, omina has 14.0.0. Stretch almost over, growth almost switched to full flowering. Increasing phosphorous and potassium, beauty of nature is it only takes what it needs. Started to remove some weights as stems starting to show solid reinforcement and are ready to hold fat cola. Fingers 🤞. Decreased hours of light to 10. Extended hours of cold @ night from 2 to 6 hours @59 Farenheight with 2 hours both sides @ 70&77 respectively.

Yall see the yellowing of the leaves closest to the top? I've since switched my nutes over to Tiger Bloom and I've thrown in some Cal-mag into the mix. They'd gotten kinda droopy but since I changed their nutes up a bit, they've been perky af even tonight as it's getting close to lights out. I switched them over to flower on Sunday. They're already starting to stretch in just a few days which tells me that they're feeling much better. My last video... even though it's not loaded correctly is from tonight. It's 11pm, lights are out in an hour and they're still perky. Love it!! 😍😍😍 4/6/23: Yall.... the plant in the back right hermied!!! OMFG. The 2 tallest branches had seeds on them... just popped up because they weren't there yesterday or at least I didn't notice. The seeds were concentrated at the top, I didn't find any on the rest of the plant but with as bushy as they are, there may be more. I cut those 2 tallest branches down to below where the seeds were but I will be watching that plant and the rest like a hawk for more seeds. I didn't find any on the other 3 plants but still I'm saddened. Unsure of why this one plant is hermie'ing. Smh

*=UPDATE=* Smoke Report *=UPDATE=* Harvest Totals **Smoke Report and effects** to follow after cure, May 10th ish. This was my second ever indoor grow, and compared to my last grow I have learned a lot. My goal this time was to get about 1.5-2oz a plant, up from my previous goal of 1oz a plant from last grow. Best part is I got to my goal!!😁 Next goal will be 2oz+ a plant. This was the last time I will be using my homemade grow tent, it was compromised out of recycled Styrofoam, miss-tint paint and glue, it provided me what I needed to get the job done one a extreme budget but it is preventing me from doing more. The main problem I ran into this grow was humidity control/space. The fan broke half way through and I was too lazy to get a new one as I figured I'll wait till I get a real tent. This mind set enabled some mould to flourish and that is why I had to harvest early. I felt if I let the plants go 2 more weeks, I would have hit 2oz a plant, it was only a few grams away, however if I kept going with the mould I would have been down to 1oz after all the rot was cut out from both plants, that shit fucks up your grow fast if you don't manage your air circulation. So the main things I learned: 1) I was underfeeding my plants in there 2nd half of life, thus the buds from the previous grows and this one suffered a bit. This grow does have the most dense buds I have ever grown, but it could have been better. 2) PH is key, I still did not have a PH meter but was blindly altering the PH of my water by adding in some citric acid, not only to neutralize the chlorine but also lower the PH a bit. When I did test the soils PH using a soil testing kit, it was lower then previous grows. This helped get more nutrients into the plants and grow bigger. previous grows the PH was 7-7,5 ish 3) You can get an "ok" harvest off of blue lights, my grow was under seven 18" 6500k 18w sunblaster LEDs, and I thought they would never get over 1oz a plant because they don't have the best spectrum for cannabis in flower, among the other dumb things I do as a novice grower. but they worked out just fine, still going to upgrade in time with proper lighting in the 3500k range. 4) Once the plants get bigger and buds start to becoming more dense, the air circulation is needed, its is not longer optional for a budget grow in a shity homemade tent. 5) Defoliation works. my plants have ruffly the same amount of buds, however the plant that I fiddled around with mainlining and defoliation had bigger fatter buds vs popcorn nugs like the opposite plant. 6) Fungas gnats are annoying, fuck them, use nematodes to kill them flat in there tracks. 7) Getting better at making edibles. :) So other then that, the only real differences between this is last grow is lower PH in tap water, more lights, slightly bigger pots, bit more feed and different genetics from a different breeder. I followed everything else ruffly the same. My own hydro break down from lights alone is below. I did not notice any big difference between the two plants and there phenotypes, I was meaning to take a clone and try and grow it outdoors again but forgot and that was my last of the seeds. I was surprised that one of them was a male. not even hermi, full blown male. I'm not into breeding or I would have kept him, Yields: Plant # 1 - male, killed Plant # 2 - 42.1g bud, 13.15g trim (1 .49oz, 0.46oz) bigger fatter buds Plant # 3 - 45.1g bud, 13.15g trim (1.59oz, 0.46oz) smaller nugs, almost all popcorn. =Overall - 87.2g total bud, ave 43.6g a plant. 26.3g trim ave 13.15g a plant. Smells: plants 2-3 - both smelled the same, in the beginning they had a lovely sexy lemon sent, then in the end it just turned into something else, I think some of the moulds in the tent altered it a bit. Will wait till after cure to see what its like, I noticed some changes in just drying and having them in the jars for two days now. Now that the cure is all done and finished the two strains smell a bit different in there respective jars but there smoke is almost identical. plant #2 or pheno #1 is more of a classic OG Kush smell to me, its earthy, herbal and pungent. Hints of pine in there with lemon bit woody. plant #3 or pheno #2 is more of a bright one, It's sweet smelling with berries in it, some hints of almost floral like in it, not quite rose or lavender something else, not what I was expecting at all. I like this smell better vs the other plant. Smoke Report It took its sweet time but I finally got it in. I myself do not smoke, so I relay on my roomie for this part of the report, they are a long time smoker 10+ years. They have reported that the smoke smooth and easy going, they would say it was a bit smoother then my previous grow of OK Kush CBD and Blackberry. the only noticeable differences between the different phenos is that pheno #1 is more pungent that phoneo #2 but over all the smokes flavours and quality are the same just brighter in phone #2, I feel these are a bit off from the original seeds I grew back in the day from my first ever grow but still high quality. this was rated as a equal balance of sativa and indica feels on smoking but the smells where leaning towards sativa a bit. m0use +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cost + Time Analysis Of Growing Cannabis. m0use’s Breakdown +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Light Schedule === growth: 18h on 6h off flower: 12h on 12hr off GROWTH: 35days 5am-11pm-on -- 11pm-5am-off --- Cost of kwh with on-peak "20.8c", mid-peak "14.4c" and off-peak "10.1c". 5am - 7am -- 2hr @10.1c/kwh off-peak 7am - 11am -- 4hr @20.8c/kwh on-peak 11am - 5pm --6hr @14.4c/kwh mid-peak 5pm - 7pm -- 2hr @20.8c/kwh on-peak 7pm - 11pm -- 4hr @10.1c/Kwh off-peak --- 6h @10.1c/kwh 6h @20.8c/kwh 6h @14.4c/kwh --- Using the previous c/kwh numbers above I can find out the daily cost of the lamps in the 3 peak periods. growth and flower 6h x 10.1c/kwh = 60.6c/kw * .126 kw = 7.64c off-peak 6h x 20.8c/kwh = 124.8c/kw * .126 kw = 15.72c on-peak 6h x 14.4c/kwh = 86.4c/kw * .126 kw = 10.89 c mid-peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of "c" cents per peak period add all the peak periods up and you get your cost of running the lights in cents per day c/d --- growth : 7.64c + 15.72c + 10.89c = 34.25c/d FLOWER: 52days === 8am-8pm-on -- 8pm-8am-off --- Cost of kwh with on-peak "20.8c", mid-peak "14.4c" and off-peak "10.1c". 5am - 7am -- 0hr @10.1c/kwh off-peak 8am - 11am -- 3hr @20.8c/kwh on-peak 11am - 5pm --6hr @14.4c/kwh mid-peak 5pm - 7pm -- 2hr @20.8c/kwh on-peak 7pm - 8pm -- 1hr @10.1c/Kwh off-peak --- 1h @10.1c/kwh 5h @20.8c/kwh 6h @14.4c/kwh --- Using the previous c/kwh numbers above I can find out the daily cost of the lamps in the 3 peak periods. growth and flower 1h x 10.1c/kwh = 10.1c/kw * .126 kw = 1.27c off-peak 5h x 20.8c/kwh = 104c/kw * .126 kw = 13.10c on-peak 6h x 14.4c/kwh = 86.4c/kw * .126 kw = 7.77c mid-peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of "c" cents per peak period add all the peak periods up and you get your cost of running the lights in cents per day c/d --- flower : 1.27c + 13.10c + 7.77c = 22.14c/d Lights === LED’s I use are 18w each and I have 7 lamps on an aray. 18w*7 = 126w | 126w/1000 = 0.126Kw growth: 18h/d lights on * .126kw lights hydro use = 2.27kw/d flower: 12h/d lights on *.126kw lights hydro use = 1.51kw/d G:79.45 + F:78.52 = 157.97kw for the entire grow. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 4oz or 113.5g on 157.97kw, this includes buds and trim in mycase. 157.97kw ÷ 113.5g = 1.39kw/g of usable cannabis. I’d still try and aim for under 1kw/g. .51 ÷ 113.5g = :text.20g The other ratio would have been, 113.5g to 126w = 0.9g/w just shy of the 1 mark. So in total, it cost me 20c per 1g I grew in light electricity alone. Not to bad. legend, kwh = kilowatt per hour kw = kilowatt w = watt h = hour c = cents $ = dollars d = day LED= Light Emitting Diode

Buenas!

The outdoor plant's stems are thickening and hardening af. This will be perfect for when my next light arrives; I will switch it back to flower and will support some fat buds. It is windy af; I am also twisting all stems on the outdoor plant every 3-4 days so they harden/thicken even more. I really might need to cut it to size before going inside again... I am giving it full veg nutrients (2.5ml/L fish emulsion, 1ml/L Activera, 0.8ml/L Bloom) with tiny bit of bloom; There are also some small pests eating some small holes through the leaves, but seems to handle it; I get rid of anything I see and will give it an organic pesticide (garlic and neem oil) spray before bringing it back inside. Indoor plant is going OK, the buds are fattening a bit slower than I want, The light is now also a bit too small for this plant as well; I want also the lower buds to fatten so some of the higher leaves are burning a bit but the middle is best. I might have given it a bit of nitrogen toxicity a bit ago but I lowered my fish emulsion and it stopped spreading,

The week was nothing unusual, I fertilized today and see them growing very well 😍 Next week I will defoliate and thin out again and remove what is in the shade and will not wear anything ... otherwise I am very, very satisfied with the growth of the plants😁😏😊

Okay so after 48 hours instead of 24 of darkness. These ladies were begging to be chopped with how much more intense the smell got. Cheesy , sweet , skunky , and a floral incense kind of scent. Made lots of finger hash just getting them off the plants , already smoked. I’m about 75% done with chopping all the major tops. This time I decided to cut off the branches and dry on an eight tier 24” diameter rack off Amazon. All 8 tiers are full with gorgeous top colas. I’m drooling. Can’t believe just how much bud this is turning out to be. They are dense , and oozing. Not going to get a wet weight because this is just too much. But holding the rack it’s like 20 lbs or more. My scales don’t go that high. Lol. Gotta say it, I think my buds look 10 times better than the advertisement photos g13 lab’s mozzarella. My 2 cents and honest opinion. Please do give me your opinions. I know I didn’t show the full grow because life gets busy. My next grow I want to control the humidity and heat levels a bit better. Or just humidity and run co2 to withstand higher temps. I have every angle of the grow under my tips now. It feels amazing to have this kind of harvest after the dedication these plants received. I’m Convinced…. rdwc with a water chiller , is by far the best way to do hydro. When it’s dry I’ll add the final weights. My nutrient reg is this. Jacks 321 , botanic are cal mag plus, hydroguard,PK booster is flower fuel(purple can off Amazon) and unsulfured molasses. If you don’t have an ability to keep water at 70 degrees then only use jacks hydroguard and cal mag. You’ll still do well but that molasses , that sauce is the boss.
