hello my Friends! The Bush'OKush had a great week!😊It is Day 56 of Flower. She is really putting on the weight in the last 2 weeks, A lot of the branches have started to "droop down from the weight to where the stems are almost horizontal. Normally I would stake/tie them up but she will be harvested within the week otherwise they would get tied up to prevent any snapping of branches that could occur.I am surprised actually on how much they have sagged or drooped from the weight due to the size and how sturdy the stems are. She really surprised me in these last 2 weeks with that🙌. As for when she will get harvested it is looking like it is going to be right around the breeders estimated time of ~63 days Flowering👌 You could easily harvest it around the late 7th to the 8th week depending on preference and growing conditions. I am going the full 63 Days at least even though the trichomes are pretty much at there peak I'd say its about ~90% cloudy/milky and ~5% clear ~5% Amber. So I am hoping for a heavy hitter of a smoke from this one so that why I will go the full breeder time of 63 if not a few days longer all depends on how quick the Trich's mature/ripen and oxidize. I will be watching them closely. I am still feeding her some nutes but only every 2 waterings, so it's feed-water-water-feed. I have also lowered the level of nutes slightly and will keep doing so until it is just plain pH'd water for the last two days.She has a very odd kinda hard to describe smell😷, it is this like fresh grapey smell at first then a kushy, earthy, fruity-ish yet pungent like smell 😂 Hopefully the next update will be a starting to harvest update👍 Thanks for stopping in to check out the diary! What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

Day 36 Ladies look great on the start of week 6. Yesterday’s feed went in well and they both seem stretching their nodes. Day 37 Watered them with water only today. They look happy and healthy. The red stems on the taller lady are genetics as kindly confirmed by Fast Buds. 🔝 Day 39 Water day today / mixed different cocktails for both with specific needs. Run off Ph and EC improving :) Day 40 All looking good today 💚 - both plants have some slight rust spots on some leaves but I think it’s Cal/Mag deficiency and yesterday I both gave them some. Today the spots seem to have remained the same so maybe it’s solved. Day 42 Ladies are stretching their tops during these days and filling up slowly but steadily. All looking good till now for the Gelato Sisters 👯‍♀️

Weekly update on these beautiful ladies. A little late on the update I was out of town for the weekend and couldn't get to it before I left. They're Growing amazing and wow did i come back ti a jungle. They'll definitely be getting a defoliation and lollipop this week as it's needed. All in all Happy Growing

Graduated, and am off from work for a few weeks, so went overboard on photos. Plant is doing well, leaves are starting to turn yellow (strain trait). Can't wait for the harvest and being able legally gift my xmas ornaments to my cousins during our "cousins walk" at our family xmas party.

Semana de bastante crecimiento. No se ha estirado mucho, pero han salido muchos brotes nuevos y hojas bastante grandes. Todo va viento en popa y a toda vela. No he detectado ningún síntoma de estrés. Cada dos días las giro 180º y subo 2 cm. el foco. También le aplico riego foliar cada tres días y le sienta muy bien, es una cepa que admite bastante bien los excesos. Han comenzado ha aparecer los primeros pistilos. Preparándola ya para la floración para la semana que viene. No se lo pierdan.😉

She's showing the first pistils already, she looks veery small for 28 days old, can't believe it, I was very excited about this strain and looks like she's not gonna be very productive,but let's see how big she get with the stretch. Peace and love everybody 💚✌️

Yo! Week 3 is rolling along, and things are looking pretty sweet! The plant is vibing well with the Canna Terra nutrients. I’ve been sticking to that medium dosage, and honestly, you can see the difference in just three days—those leaves are popping! I've also kicked off some low-stress training this week. Just gently bending and tying things down to give it a nice shape. Can't wait to see how it all turns out! Excited for what’s next on this green journey! 🌱✌️

Start of week 8,flowering, looking for amber trickomes,took off a branch at day 52, trickomes,were mostly milky some clear. I want to know the sweet spot for this girl if you know what I mean. I will post other pics of early cut latter. Also I switched to blue spectrum light only, supposedly it gets more UV light and packs on more resin(higher T H C ) ,Not that it needs more, but in the name of science I am willing to put in the extra effort. 🔎😎

Got an ounce from her. Not too much as far as yield but the dense bud structure and purple hues made it all worth while. Pressing it for rosin and it is perfect.

Get your drool ready, these little flowers are already making your mouth water after just 4 weeks of flowering. It's a marvel, a thousand shades of purple and an immense quantity of resin. The already a lot of resin in the 4th week actually seems to have come out at the same time as the use of Plagron's turbo additives. I've always been a little skeptical about additives but I have to change my mind as soon as I put Sugar Royal on the sugar really came out. Had beautiful weather out one out another tomorrow and looking for a spot to grow some regular seeds kc brains 36 want a male to cross with some autos for seeds crossing some quick one RQS bigheads super fast auto possibly a bit Frisian duck but there my main crop this year as growing outside can be huge and seen some great diaries organiclarf for instance so happy so far add more pics soon

All going well with this girl, she is throwing up new pistils so I think it’ll be 3-4 weeks before she’ll be ready. I’ll check her trichomes once all the pistils have receded. Nice easy plant to grow and is starting to smell great. Happy growing 🤙🏿
