📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. First leaves burned a bit I think because of the soil Royal mix which is quite strong but it was what I had in the moment 😂 The plant is living now in a 9l airpot that should carry her till the end.

Hello,, fin de semaine 6.🤟 Les plantes ont très bien récupérées de leur défoliation de la semaine dernière. Le feuillage est redevenu bien dense. Je les passe en floraison aujourd’hui. J’ai donc fait une défoliation pour laisser pénétrer un maximum de lumière. En espérant que cela leurs soit profitable. 🤞 Voilà pour cette fin de semaine... Happy grow...😎

Day 57 - The girls are bursting with flower....... looked abit light (the main tops looked a light green, showed signs of nutrient deficiencies), so upped the Dutch Master Gold One Flower, it's 1000 ppm now.... thinking about Defoliation... outside temperatures are middle of winter, 0oC to 20oC (32oF to 70oF) .... but typical high low is 5-15oC (40-60oF)......... surprisingly the LED's warm the tent upto 20-24oC, this is important point.... i am running the lights, 6 pm to 6 am... 12hrs lights on all night, and all day is night mode...... during the day is the highest temps of the day... and during the lowest temps, they have the light heat ....... Day 61 - I trimmed em .... this was the third defoliation..... things are starting to get sticky..... ah i'm just going to wing it.... they are 2 months (8 wks) from seed.... idk what i'm doing....... i did some serious stress bending today, and had to put afew tie downs in..... my theory is to hurt em as much as i can without killin em.... to make em harder, stronger, faster, more stressed, so they can survive anything..... grow em stronger...... the smell is zero in the home, but once i got them out for their 2 week haircut, they started producing some strong wet kisses, that were sticky and wet.... the aroma of heavenly ladies was abundant...... 😎😎 idk... this tastes so good.... it's like some kind of weird berry combo goodness.... i'm vaping vanilla custard atm and this is so good with vanilla custard.... vanilla custard kush n cookies... haha watch the video......... 😎

Steady progress from last weeks update. Although I may have mixed two of the plants up and the one I think is red dragon could actually be Zombie Kush, but I’m sure that’ll show in the next couple of weeks, there are actually 2 Zombie Kush in there, the mix around came at the time of repotting, if a mix around there was, ah the mystery of it all😜 smelling great in there. The purple strawberry really does have an amazing aroma, and the blue fire og has a super stench, I thought it might be a bit more fruity but I’m not complaining. The gorilla Zkittles is just pouring oil, the leaves and buds are covered, it’s been sticky for a while now the smell not so intense. The Zombie Kush are looking great (1 especially but this as aforementioned may be red dragon🙃) The red Dragon is also looking really good and filling up space along the stems with bud, not so much of a show of trichomes as far as this one goes but theyre there🤤 the critical orange punch is also doing well but isn’t that great to look at, I’m hoping as the buds fatten they’ll tighten up a bit. The smell from this one is gorgeous though and no doubt it will make great smoke. April is looking like a good month for flavours🤤🤤🤤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Piccolo aggiornamento dalle altre mie piante che si trovano distanti dalla altra coltivazione, nonostante siano i stessi semi tra una pianta e l altra si notano grandi differenze. Sono sbalordito dalla Durban poison non per la sua grandezza ma per l odore che emana e per il mistico colore violaceo che già mi ha stregato!! Non vedo l'ora di provarla

First grow completed, turned out far better than I could ever have hoped, the plants totally bossed it for all the winging it and improvising I put them through, but we got there in the end haha, Looking forward to next grow, can't wait to enjoy using all good genetics, already have some Bruce banner #3 seeds ready to roll out :) Thanks for reading

420FASTBUDS ORT2108 WEEK 8 I've enjoyed seeing these grow as the weekly updates are very noticeable. I decided to do some LST training and it seems to have made an improvement. I also backed off the nutes with only leaving the calmag and ph the water before watering. All in all Happy Growing.
