At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. THURSDAY 7/18: She really perked up in the sunshine with the boom boom spray and kelp dosing, so I put her outdoors again at first light today. I also re-planted her in the same cup, but I put about 2 centimeters of coarse perlite in the bottom along with another handful of soil. Her tiny lower branches are finally getting some light! I'll start training her a bit now, and I should be able to FIM her tomorrow or the next day. She's in direct scorching sunlight for 8 hours a day and about 8 inches below a 40w Sansi 4000k LED and a 75w LED panel (6500k/460nm 1:1 ratio) for 16 hours a day, I'll dial it back to 22-hour days at the first sign of flowering and swap out the blue/white panel for an all 660nm red panel(or two), and continue to gradually decrease her nighttime until harvest I've also got a little 20w spotlight with a Cree chip that's tuned to 3000k that I'll probably hammer her "massive" cola with as she starts to ripen up.😎 SUNDAY: She was looking a little bit haggard after yesterday...I think the sun is beating her up too badly. With such a tiny amount of soil, I think the roots are getting way too hot, even being in a cup within a cup wrapped with duct tape. Today, I'm leaving her indoors under the LEDs, but considering putting her cup inside another solo cup without any drainage holes, and setting that cup into pot of water with a fresh "blue ice" pack so as to keep the root temperature down...and replacing the blue ice pack every couple of hours while she's outdoors...or maybe I'll just take a pot and fill it with some of the orange-red clay that I find when I dig down a couple of feet..create a solo cup sized hole in it so that she has a surrounding layer of clay to keep her cooler during the day...not sure.. I foliar fed her and mixed about 4 grams of Bactrex into a jug with 3/4 gallon of bottled water and douched all my plants with about 2 pints each, except her...she got about 6 oz. of solution. That should really get the beneficial bacteria and fungus kicked into overdrive. I started brewing a 4 gallon batch of compost tea today. Since I don't have any Orgatrex, I am using a little Big Bloom, Kelp Me Kelp You, and Grow Big in the tea in addition to the PK Compost Booster tea from Bio Tabs. I'll add Mycotrex to it about 2 hours before it finishes and thoroughly dowse them all tomorrow morning. MONDAY: Today, after I FIM'd her, I decided to move her outdoors into a semi-shaded spot, with the rest of the girls during the day. To deal with the heat on her roots, I decided to just bury the larger solo cup (no drainage holes or soil in it) up to the rim in a 3 gallon pot full of soil. This will allow me to easily bring her indoors every (or every other) night to soak up more light in my cabinet. The plant's roots will never have any access to the other soil, but I'm hoping that if I keep that outer soil wet it will hold the root temperatures down in the soil inside the cup. If it turns out that her roots are so strong that they "break through" the plastic to get to the outer soil, I'll either remove the plastic and drop out of the contest, or just bring her indoors permanently.😁 She got some freshly brewed compost tea this morning along with a foliar feeding...a major pain in the ass to lug a 5-gallon pail down to the site...maybe I'll invest in a small solar panel and 12 volt battery and inverter so I can do the brewing on site...

Harvest was done on a lovely summer day. Since summer was approaching, half of the harvest was hung upside down with the classic 60/60 and rest is stored in a wine cooler for drying. There’s also an oscillating fan below for airflow!

I did partily harvest the Special Queen the microscope shows some orange/brown trichomes they are not enough to call her ready to harvest but just like with the Painkiller im scared of bud rot and next week will be raining non stop again so saftey first thats also the reason why i removed almost all the leaves, to improve airflow. Honey Cream receives a good amount of fertilizer not sure if shes able to use it all since its getting cold and the sun is almost never shining. I water with a concentrated solution because the ground is already soaking wet. I guess i'll harvest the rest of the special queen this coming week.

We've made it to week 3! (10/12/20) I'm very happy with how the girls are going, they have definitely put in a HUGE amount of work over the past 7 days. Plants 3 & 8 are very similar(extremely fat leaves & extra bushy) Plants 1 & 5 are similar (smaller phenos reacting to nutes slightly differently) & Plants 2, 4, 6 & 7 seem to be a cross between the previously mentioned phenos(not too small and not too big/bushy & reacting to nutes fine) Feel free to compare Week 1, 2 & 3 to see the differences. Nutes are staying the same this week, although I will be spacing feedings out a little bit further(18 hours-ish), as well as feeding straight PH'd water once a fortnight. I am contemplating hooking my simple drip-to-waste irrigation system up, although the girls are pretty close to the medium still and the halos sit 5-10cm above the medium, meaning fan leaves would be drooping onto the wet halos, so I'll give it another week and see how they're doing :) Update 11/12/20 - day 22 The girls have beefed up quite a bit over the last 24 hours, I'm really looking forward to seeing a stretch soon :) No feeding today & will water plain ph'd water tomorrow. Update 12/12/20 - day 23 Gave the girls straight ph'd water today with little run off. Veg growth is really starting to boom now, looking forward to seeing where this grow goes! I'm gladly accepting any tips or tricks, as I'm still only a beginner to indoors. Update 13/12/20 - day 24 Girls are looking great today, not much to report. They didn't get a feed or watering today as the medium was still wet after a pure watering yesterday. Update 14/12/20 - day 25 There's been a big increase in growth over the past 24 hours. All the girls besides the 2 smaller phenos look 100% happy, the smaller ones have looked a little weird since day 1(Weird as in colour of the fan leaves look deficient of something, but I'm not sure what. The girls will be getting a full feeding today. There's still no signs of sex but they are feminised seeds. Update 15/12/20 - day 26 Girls are looking happy today. Temps are back to normal after a heat wave in my city(its only going to get hotter from here on out). No feeding/watering today, pots are heavy/wet enough. Started using iphone for photos now, my only lens for my DSLR is useless for most grow related photos. I will upgrade my lens before next grow. I received my new silenced fan today! I couldnt be any happier :) It is a silenced Sigilventus SE-A150J, which I have set-up with a brand new Can-lite carbon filter. I went from a rocket loud eBay fan to a completely silent inline EC fan :D I hope the girls like the silence! Update 16/12/20 - day 27 The girls are continuing to boom! and I'm over the moon about it :D I gave them a full feeding today. I have seen white pistils coming out of calyx's on most of the girls, so i'm hoping they start to flower soon. I'm having weird issues with my humidity, it seems to be fine at 40-50% for 70% of the day, but the remaing 30% of the day it goes up to 60-65%. Temps stay the same in the 5x5 tent, I have ducted air-con in the house which is on most of the day. Thanks for viewing! :)

Vegetation Phase - Week 2 Shoutout to Cannapot, the Austrian plug who came through with the genetics from Humboldt Seed Company. The 10 Donutz plants are pushing through their second week of veg, and while the majority are thriving, a few challenges are starting to show — all part of the game when experimenting with new soil, pots, and nutrients. Updates & Adjustments: Lamp Adjustment: Raised the light to reduce stress and give the plants more breathing room as they stretch and develop. Watering: Keeping it relaxed and minimal with reverse osmosis (RO) water. No overwatering here — slow and steady wins the race. Nutrients: If deficiency will further ill add more fertilizer. Observations: 9/10 plants are growing steadily, with vibrant green leaves and visible progress in height and structure. 1 runt: One plant is struggling hard — stunted growth, ugly leaves, and generally looking like it’s fighting for its life. Still, it’s got a spot in the tent, and we’ll see if it can bounce back. Some minor issues spotted on a few plants, likely nutrient deficiencies as they adjust to the new setup. It’s not surprising, given the new gear and methods, but nothing alarming yet. Next Steps: Staying the course with low-stress management. Let the plants adjust to their environment and dial in any issues over time. The Donutz are strong genetics, so they’ll likely power through. Even the sickly one gets a chance — no plant left behind! This sea is still on track to make waves.

All good :) very frosty and smells so good. She‘s so happy. At day 35 end of week 4 approaching week 5, i flush her to remove salt buildups since i didn’t had runoff the entire grow ever. She has crazy 2.6EC run off the ph is on the spot though. So lets see how will she react after heavy flush with runoff 1.6EC by week 5. i am now lowering my nuts half of the manufacturers recommendation.

Not sure if these 2 are auto plants? The blackberry are flowering quiet obviously, but these 2 are either really slow or I accidentally bought non autos. Anybody help? Cheers
