Just a beautiful strain to grow but not for a beginner like me! And an awesome high come smoking time - almost too strong ... Each of the plants grew slightly different to the other which was fun. These were nutrient hungry and I'm sure I messed that supply up. Good lessons learnt for next time. The smell is just wonderful .. full lemon and so strong come harvest time - and there was a huge amount of leaf to trim .. it would have been slightly overwhelming if all 3 grew healthy and finished properly. 2 of the 3 plants were harvested early by 1-2 weeks due to setting in of powdery mildew that I could not control effectively.

Switched to Canna Terra range a few months into the grow, way too late in my experience. Looking forward to starting with it on my next grow as my plants looked nutrient deficient throughout the grow.

Emergency harvest of the G13 Haze plants due to powdery mildew setting in. There was at least 2-3 weeks to go in these plants but better to get something now than lose the entire lot - the mildew was spreading faster than I could control it. Luckily the last watering a few days before had no nutrients, just plain water.

Need help diagnosing leaf loss issues with the G13 Haze strain (problem has been over 5 weeks now). The one in the smallest pot (7L) has lost a majority of its leaves. The leaves start yellowing and turning brown then crispy. They have white speckles on them like salt.

From what I can see on the picture you have a nitrogen deficiency , so the plant is getting paler and the lower leaves are yellowing and falling , the cana terra flora does not providing enough N or the pot is so small that the plant is eating faster than you are feeding. I both case the nutrients are involved. You ph is 7 which is the highest value of the optimal range so if you can get down to 6.5 it is even better

In week 12 of the diary I show the continued issue with yellowing and loss of leaves. One G13 plant has nearly lost all its leaves. I think I have a pest issue, see week 11 diary picture of the pot with lots of white tiny things crawling. Could this be root aphids?

I believe it's lack of nitrogen. 1.1 EC of run off in soil is incredibly low, heck it's low even for coco; when using soil I get deficiency symptoms when my run off is much higher than that. Have you tried some N heavy nutes? Try some growth nutes and tell us how it goes.

Hi @HazeyBobby! Yes it could be some sort of aphids, they're common in the great outdoor. In this situation I would let the medium dry, spray a solution made of neem oil, soap, and crushed garlic diluted in water onto and below the leaves. Spray at night everywhere before the buds start to fatten up. Do not water until the medium is fully dry (to kill the eggs). Once your medium will be dry, spray the container and its surface with the same solution. Stop spraying as soon as buds start to expand (time is running!). Hope this will help, let us know how this goes, and happy growing! 👊

@Stick, thanks for the response. Looking at the little bugs with a magnifier they look very very similar to springtails and not like root aphids. Explains why I keep thinking I see things jumping around the place :). I probably have aphids as well but not as big of an infestation as I thought.

@@Athos, thanks for the response. You may be right as I was told of a nitrogen deficiency from late veg period and explains why the leaf loss issue only affects the G13 Haze strain plants. My White Widow is and has throughout the grow been doing fine. I will try feeding with Canna Veg once a week.

Using a digital ph reader on the solution b4 application is an easier way to control ph dude . Spray seaweed extract on the leaves 4 times daily if you can .all the best dude

@Welovephattrees420uk, thanks for the tip. I measure the water/feed going in before application - usually around 6.2. Will try to get the seaweed extract - cheers.

Harvest day for the White Widow and I'm happy it survived to this. Very sticky to handle, spent a few hours on it - hopefully the trimming is good enough. Will see after drying.

My tap water comes out at pH8.3 and I'm currently using white vinegar to bring the pH of the solution down to ~6.2 prior to feeding.
