End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. Transplanted in the ground for a few days with a contribution of mycorrhizae . The heat wave has passed and she is doing very well. I removed the apex and lower branches. It should soon start to bloom.😎

This is my second grow and first soil grow and @Apotforpot came in clutch with the super soil, all I had to do was add water no nutes. The strain is Exotic Seeds Black Haze and took 12 weeks from germination, the plant took a lot of abuse too with cold,high humidity, ect and it grew perfectly so thank you exotic seeds!!! I will be growing again I love this strain and everyone else does too. I want to thank everyone that commented and helped along the way I truly appreciate it! I hope everyone enjoys my journal

Hallo, ich möchte mir aus ästhetischen Gründen kein Zelt holen und betrachte die Pflanze als „Zimmerpflanze“. Der Geruch stört mich und meinen Mitbewohner auch nicht von daher. Das ist jetzt mein zweiter Grow mit der kleinen Sansi Growlight, welche ich vorher einfach für Zimmerpflanzen genutzt hatte. Habe den Samen 48 Stunden in nassem Zewa keimen lassen und dann direkt ins Substrat eingetopft.

Very happy I went Original Sensible Seeds beens this grow. 🤩 All 3 autos from some special american line, and o boy , they don't disappoint.🔥 Bangers genetics 👏🏻 all trees are good size with super thick stalks and loads of fat buds. Another big defoliation been done this week, removed around 2 kg of leaves.All frosty with great smell. I like it a lot 💚

Earlier in the week, I saw a discolored bud, and upon closer inspection, I found bud rot. Ugh. I immediately cut off the infected bud and the one closest to it. I looked through the canopy but couldn't see any more affected buds. Right after, I went out of town for a few days to Mary Jane, the big Cannabis Conference in Berlin. It was the first one after legalization, and it was wild. I had an awesome time, and it was great to meet up with friends while in Berlin. What wasn't so great was seeing more signs of budrot when I returned home—those days of +85% humidity at the start of last week made the botrytis go brr. Sigh :( Checking the trichomes showed it was still early to harvest, but I decided to chop anyway to save the unaffected buds. I also decided to hang each branch separately, as it would allow me to inspect each one closely to ensure no affected buds made it into the drying tent. Another reason is to decrease the drying time. Usually, I prefer a long dry, but due to botrytis, I aim to speed up the process. Overall, I found 12-15 affected buds, and of course, they're always the nicest-looking buds. I don't care about the yield loss, as more than enough is still left. I only hope the remaining buds are unaffected, and I'll inspect them daily throughout the dry. Now we wait. And hope.

Moving along nicely now. The timelapse is showing some nice growth over the last 6 days. The next month should really be fun to watch. I plan to let them stay in the buckets for another week before I move them into the larger containers. Not much else to see early on. They should be ready for their first clipping here soon. Fun fun!
