FLOWERS!!!! As expected, the solocup grow made leaps and bounds this week! Flower is upon us!!!! This little girl is beautiful! Heavy stalk, and beautiful flowers! Really looking forward to the end results here! Still no nutes, but I will absolutely be introducing nutes this week! I will see how hard I can push this girl! To the MAX! I changed my light schedule this week to 20/4 from 18/6. Our outdoor Temps are getring lower here in the midwest, and my indoor Temps reflect that. So, more light, means more growth! Also introduced a small amount of low stress training. I will not do much to her since I topped her, just moving bud sites slightly to gather more light. Grow on grow pals!

Need to transplant two of these girls! --- After bit of self-debating (and quite a few bowls), I’ve finally decided on the ones! --- Going to transplant Gorilla Goat #1 along with the original Garlic Budder #1 --- Decided to the transplant the Gorilla Goat #1 for the loudness and overall lemon chem gas terp profile. --- As for the Garlic Budder phenos, going with the purple pheno. For a while, was planning on transplanting the #2 pheno, but after a 5-month cure, the unique and smooth smoke of the #1 pheno was the ultimate reason for switch. --- Ca-Caw! Always pheno hunting! This is why we grow! --- Okay, anyways! - [18:22]: Time to transplant! --- Both 7-gallon pots have been pre-amended and ready for more roots! --- Alright let's go cutty! --- Placed both of the spare Heady OG clones in the propagation tray. - [18:25]: Gently removed the solo cups from both fabric pots (on the right side of the tent) leaving perfect holes. ------ Sprinkled 1/16tsp of Great White, --- Dusted the sides of both holes. --- Also sprinkled a bit around the top soil. --- Great! Time to transplant! --- It’s been two days since both have been watered. --- To loosen and unstick the rootball from the cup, I gently squeezed the sides before pressing the bottom upwards. --- Once fully loosened, I simply Vulcan-gripped the base of the plant and flipped her upside down. - [18:33]: Gorilla Goat #1 dropped straight out of her cup! --- Hmm. Not as rooted as I would hope, but roots look white and healthy! --- The original Garlic Budder #1 pheno easily slipped out of her cup! --- Similar the Gorilla Goat, she could have more roots, but that’s okay. Roots look healthy and that is all that matters! --- Did not break up the rootballs. --- Gently flipped and placed each clone carefully into the pre-inoculated holes. --- Pressed and evened out the top soil for both phenos. - [18:39]: Transplant done! --- Gorilla Goat #1 was transplanted into the back right quadrant. --- Garlic Budder OG#1 was transplanted into the front right quadrant. --- To prevent transplant shock and to help even out the soil moisture, going to give 2 cups of wetting solution each. --- Also adding in a few extra microbes. - [18:55]: Filled a pitcher with 6 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/32tsp of Recharge ------ Added 1/32tsp of Stash Blend ------ Added 1/8tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/8tsp of Horticultural Coconut ------ Added 1/8tsp of Mycrobe Complete ------ Added 1/2tsp of WDG3000 Extra Strength BTI --- Mixed the solution and poured 2 cups straight into a pump sprayer. --- Misted Gorilla Goat #1's straw mulch with the wetting solution (back right quadrant). --- Took my time and tried to go evenly. - [19:15]: Repeated this process for the original Garlic Budder #1 pheno (front right quadrant). --- Using the remaining 2 cups of the wetting solution, misted the straw mulch for both Heady OG (front left quadrant) and TKO (back left quadrant) mothers. --- Ca-Caw!! Done with the transplant! Grow strong my veg queens! - [19:22]: As for the remaining veg clones, --- Decided to try to preserve the genetics in solo cups and basic clonal cycling techniques. --- Plan to take new cuttings in a few weeks or so and will begin the rooting process once more. --- Curing has really changed the way I currently hunt phenos and I really don’t want to lose another keeper pheno (recently regret not keeping a cutting of Garlic Budder #4). --- Oh! Also finally decided to fully give tissue culture a go! --- Another huge shout out to Laur and her independently ran business, Plants-In-Jars! --- If successful, learning tissue culture will be a huge ganja journey milestone by providing a sustainable way to preserve and maintain a diverse genetic library. --- Through continuous subculturing and micro propagation, I should be able to maintain unrooted explant cuttings forever. --- Then when needed, theses cuttings can be rooted and conditioned back into a clonal state and back into solo-cups for transplanting. --- Of course, I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, so developing a successful cannabis tissue culture protocol is going to be fun and full of failure, err, I mean, learning experiences! --- What can possibility go wrong right!? --- While learning (which will most likely take a bit), will continue to maintain the vegging mothers and solo cup clones. --- The ganja journey continues! Week 4 - It’s Friday again, and that means it's update day! Another week has passed, and as usual, there's plenty to report. A lot has happened, and once again, I’m bringing you along on my journey as a total beginner in the world of growing. Every week is a new learning experience, and I’m excited to share what’s been going on in the tent as my Amnesia Zkittlez and Gorilla Cookies continue to grow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key Growing Parameters -Humidity: 43-55% -VPD: Max 1.4 -Airflow: Always active at level 1, auto-adjusts when needed -Day Temperature: 25-26°C -Night Temperature: 22°C -Light Cycle: 20 hours light / 4 hours dark -Lamp: IONBOARD S24 from AC Infinity (240W) Watering Schedule: -Day 24: 1 liter -Day 26: 1 liter -Nutrients are applied with every watering Light Adjustments: -Light distance now at 50 cm -Intensity increased to level 10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Growth Update The most noticeable change this week has been the incredible growth of the plants. I’ve uploaded some new photos for everyone to see, and it’s amazing how much they’ve shot up compared to last week. The differences in growth behavior between the Amnesia Zkittlez and Gorilla Cookies are becoming even more pronounced. The Amnesia Zkittlez has more than doubled in height since last week, shooting up and stretching outward. Meanwhile, the Gorilla Cookies hasn’t grown as much in height, but it has become noticeably rounder and bushier, almost like a pufferfish. It's fascinating to watch these plants develop in such different ways. While the Zkittlez focuses on vertical growth, the Gorilla Cookies is spreading out horizontally, forming a dense, compact structure. All around the plant, small flower sites are emerging, extending from within the plant and beginning to take shape. This difference in growth styles really highlights the unique characteristics of each strain, and I’m excited to see how they continue to evolve. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Training: LST and Defoliation This week, I’ve also focused heavily on training the plants using Low-Stress Training (LST) and some selective defoliation to optimize light exposure and encourage better growth. I applied LST more aggressively over the past few days, using clips to gently bend the stems of individual branches outward, almost to a 90-degree angle. This technique has helped the plants spread out horizontally, allowing more light to reach the inner and lower branches. I’ve been adjusting the clips nearly every day to refine the structure and ensure that the light penetrates deeper into the canopy. The goal is to encourage outward growth and create more space for the lower branches to thrive. In addition to LST, I began selectively removing leaves. I started with the first set of fan leaves, followed by leaves growing inward toward the plant’s center. These were either shading promising bud sites or simply not contributing to the plant’s energy needs. I’ve also removed the lower bud sites, which likely wouldn’t have developed into anything substantial. This way, the plants can focus their energy on the more promising, higher-up buds that are receiving better light. Throughout the defoliation process, I’ve been careful not to remove too many leaves at once. I’ve only taken off leaves that were either blocking key bud sites or were small and shaded, ensuring that the plant still has enough foliage to continue its healthy growth. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nutrients and Watering Routine There haven't been any changes in my nutrient schedule or the way I water the plants this week. I’m still using the same BioBizz nutrients at the recommended dosages with each watering, and the watering process itself remains unchanged. Each plant receives a consistent 1 liter of water every couple of days, and so far, the plants are responding well. However, based on some recommendations I’ve received, I’m planning to introduce CalMag from BioBizz into my watering routine over the course of the next week. This will help ensure that the plants have enough calcium and magnesium, which are essential for strong cell structure and nutrient uptake, especially as we move further into the flowering phase. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personal Reflections and Lessons Learned As I progress through this grow, I’m realizing how much more there is to learn, especially when it comes to managing light exposure and training techniques. It’s been rewarding to see how the plants respond to LST and defoliation, but I’m still figuring out the perfect balance. Every small change seems to make a big difference, and I’m constantly amazed by how quickly these plants adapt. Being a beginner, this process has been both challenging and exciting, and I can’t wait to see how the flowering stage develops. This journey has been a humbling experience, reminding me that growing plants isn’t just about following steps, but also about observing and learning from the plants themselves. Every day brings new insights and challenges, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see these changes reflected in the health and growth of the plants. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking Ahead In the next week, I’ll continue to monitor the pre-flowering phase closely. I expect the water and nutrient demands to increase even more as the plants transition into full flowering, so I’m preparing to increase the watering amount to 1.2 liters per plant soon. I’ll also be keeping an eye on the structure of the plants, especially the differences between the Gorilla Cookies and Amnesia Zkittlez. I may begin defoliating some of the lower leaves to give the plants more room to breathe and allow light to penetrate deeper into the canopy. There’s a lot of excitement ahead as the flowering phase approaches, and I’m eager to see how the plants respond to these new stages of growth. Week six all the plants have been doing very well. A few of them have suffered some broken tops because of me but other than that doing well the leafhoppers have been doing their best to do some damage but nothing major and the hole seem to be holding water very well I’ve been minimally watering only about once a week just a couple gallons. They seem to be retaining enough water, giving them their boogie brew tea every seven days and their pure protein with soluble seaweed every four days that’ll be the schedule till the end keep on pulling them down and stretching them out trying to get those branches to level out and grow more tops upwards. These plants this year are definitely larger than my previous ones, which surprised me I started these a little later, but they are much taller and growing much more vigorous than the last and the last were very large so high expectations for these week six everybody’s doing great. ..

We found some hermies on the Purple Purple. The breeder said that they’ve only found one stable pheno that didn’t hermie. They are considering doing feminized seeds but haven’t moved forward yet. I cut all the branches off that had hermies (about 1/4 of the plant). I dried it in the myherbsnow and pulled 75g of citrus 🍊 with a great energetic, not racey, euphoric head buzz. I have 3-4 side branches of one of the White Criticals that appear to have been pollinated. I put a white twist tie on all the suspect branches so I can keep them from going in my stash.

Roots looking good, plant looking good but look close and you can see a nute deficiency coming. most likely because my lazy ass did not change the water yet so i got some pH problems. but i wasn't paying attention to this yet haha

Week 3 and they all turned out pretty nice. Going to top and defoliate them soon. Topping from Node 5 to 3 and take some leaves out so the lower sprouts can thrive. Been giving some Sugarcane aswell for the bacterias. ~1ml/L The Alg-A-Mic is being sprayed on them because it is freaking hot in germany right now. For watering: At least all 3 days 1L from the top and 0.5L from the bottom. Varies from how warm it is here atm. Also going to repot the Tangerine Dream & Iced Sangria.
