Week 6 of flower, the buds are fattening up and triching out. The terps are super sweet and very potent smelling. I haven't seen very many nanners or balls lately, but I have seen them popping through the buds occasionally. I still inspect daily, but some days I don't find any, so I hope it won't give me too many seeds. I did notice that the bud that gets the most intense light has started having tips pointed upwards and flipping its leaves. I attributed this to heat stress, so I moved that light over bit. Day 38 update: this last week I was only watering with distilled water and the yellowing has progressed, so I assume I was right about the nitrogen deficiency noted a couple weeks back. Today I top-fed with a homemade fast acting high nitrogen organic fertilizer, we will see if this helps. Also nothing in my current flowering feeding regime has a lot of nitrogen, so I think this will likely solve the problems. I have also decided to give them an extra 15 minutes darkness for a total of 13.25 hours darkness, 7.5 minutes extra on each end, tell them its almost time to finish with ~4 weeks left. Day 40 update: still been pulling herm balls and nanners off the big one, the others seem to have stopped, but i still check them daily. Gonna be slightly seeded for sure, but I hope not too much. Also, the yellowing seems to have been managed after that nitrogen feed.

Compost tea turned out well, let it go for 26 hours total and geared it towards fungal. Also took some soil samples several days later around the stalks and found a lot of nematodes and protozoa which is what you want to see. Lots of different types of nematodes so what your looking for are the bacterial feeders (there are charts online that show you how to identify them). Mycorrhizae can be identified by it's dark colour, uniformity and segmented nature. Testate amoebas live in a translucent shell like a snail and are easy to spot but hard to spot moving due to my shitty microscope, but look for the tentacles. Also found some eggs with movement inside, no idea what they are but they have vacuoles and flagella. She is really getting sticky and smelly now; berries with herb notes. You can see the resin stretching over the trichomes in the last pic. No signs of senescence yet so I'm not going to feed them, they should have plenty of food anyway as this is a second run of the same soil.

I just switched Purple Ryder auto to ph water yesterday. She has finished bulking, and is starting to ripen. She grew great in the Agrogardens nutrition, under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. Everything is looking good, and next update should be a harvest. Pineapple in the Parlour! End of week 5 for these two beauties. I've fed them twice with the same feed as week 4 but both times supplemented 1ml per litre with Canna Nitrogen and 0.5 of BioGreen Calgel. They've responded perfectly changing to a luscious deep green colour and nearly doubled in size! I'm putting this down to many factors but have to give some credit to my new Ecotechnics Unis Co2 doser. It took a few days for the plants to respond but they have had a great burst of growth in the last 72 hours. At the beginning of the week I struggled with some environmental issues and these plants looked lacking in calcium but you wouldn't know if you looked at them today. Both beautiful and green! I'm hoping that by next week they will start showing signs of flower as I'm training them to go under a scrog and dont actually want them to get too big. The reason for this is because i have 2 Six Shooter in the tent also and want to give them enough space to show me just how good a strain they are. Ahhh But...... afterall this is my competition grow and I want these Pinapple to flourish and yeild the best they can. Hence why I'm investing heavily in my environment. As well as the Co2 I've also added an additional 300w LED into the tent. Its actually the light I used to veg these plants but I have ordered a new light for my veg box and I'm not about having lights sat around 😁 Fingers crossed these girls make the flip at some point this week. P Update: Day 39 added a few more photos of these beautiful Pinapple! I think FastBuds should have named them Amazon Express because this canopy is thick!!!! I think they are just showing their first signs of flower which is great so I may do a little bit of defoliation tomorrow or Saturday. Some of the biggest fan leaves are the size of my hand and taking up a lot of that valuable canopy light. As these are going under the net I'm just constantly tucking them under as they grow a couple of inches per day. Everything going really well with this grow I'm really optimistic.
