📆 Week 15, 30 April - 6 May 2024 30 April - Turned light power to 75%. 1 May - Did a significant defoliation. 2-6 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 I was debating on keeping the lights at 100%, or defoliating the plant. Defoliating won this time. There just wasnt enough light penetration getting to the lower buds (half the plant) to mature them for maximum growth and quality yield. So leaving the lights that bright did not achieve my expectations. It is a tricky situation when you start taking leaves away from a plant in flower, but when shadows are blocking bud developement you have to balance your grow and open it up. My method is to start with the lowest leaves and work your way up, use common sense, discard yellowing and damaged ones first, leaving the healthy green leaf on the plant. Then strategically remove the few that shadow the buds you want more focus on. Barely did any training apart from position some leaves to allow light through some areas. took off some new growths and unwanted leaves but not much. was away for two nights so had no choice but to leave the lights on however leaves didn't scorch. after topping during veg the tops next to main stem didn stretch as much as i though they would, I have pulled them apart with my fingers until main stem around topping site split slightly. see before and after

D85. At the start of week seven of flower, the girls are just humming along. I gave each girl 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.6. ------------------------------ D87. I brewed a compost tea with worm castings, kelp meal, neem meal, rock dust, biochar, and molasses and gave each girl 2.5 liters @ pH 6.3. ------------------------------ D89. Each girl got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.3 with Bokashi Juice. ------------------------------ D91. We're at the end of the seventh week of flower, and things are uneventful in the tent. I still can't find any thrips when I scout, so that's good. Yesterday, each girl got 1.25 liters of water @ pH 6.6 with fulvic acid and FFJ, and today, they also got 1.25 liters of water @ pH 6.6 but with humic acid. ------------------------------

Sorry for the huge delay, I wanted to update this earlier but COVID-19 happened everywhere and many things happened where I live. Nonetheless, I have all the photos and I'll be finishing this diary soon. The smell of both of my babies was quite, quite strong. It even made me feel very dizzy every time I checked them. During the week the leaves from Pistachio started to turn yellow while the ones from Matcha finally started to show signs of the excesses and burn, the mistakes I made earlier started to become more and more apparent so it was only a matter of time. Also, everytime a leaf started to die I removed it as soon as possible... but that might become more evident at the time lapse I uploaded! This was the last week of flower for Pistachio, and I'll leave Matcha a couple more days with some direct light on her (I want her pistils to mature a bit more), but next week is finally the week when I cut them. day 0 - gave this seed a dark place in my room to germinate and also used a little Ph down to get from 7,5 down to 6. 230PPM after about 17 hours of soaking in the glass i gave the seed into a jiffy. day 1 - because i had still 2 more of those seeds i think its better to just use them now and germinate them all together and then choose the strongest for myself. thats why we are at day 1. i just need one of them to germinate right now and the seeds are already 3 years old. i think one or maybe even 2 might not germinate because i just stored them in room temperature. we will see! day 5 - the seed wich has beed touching water 22 hours early has now shown his first sings of life above the soil, so i am trusting into the other 2 that they might also still follow so i can share a plant :) day 6 - she has a sister! she has grown 2cm+ and the seed has been stuck in the jiffy so everything perfect for the first one. day 7 - the seedling on the right is now also not growing only inside the soil anymore. the third seed was sadly a fail but i am happy with 2/3 after wrong storage.

Fast Buds Tangie'Matic grew a ton this week. I gave her an overdose of Recharge this week and I think it paid off. Looking forward to the upcoming growth this week. 👍

The plant is growing really well and the new tops are coming through strong. I hope to start training with clips this week and will move it up to a 5 gallon pot in the next week or two

Cold week. Rain and clouds most of the days. Just 1 feed, too many nutes on soil.

Got them all stripped down and moved the lights closer. Not going to top them next time, they respond so much more to supercropping. Let me know what you think, if you could take a second to go follow on IG I'll be posting more and more there as I get some stuff to teach people.

I've been busier than hell so I'll post this week and the next at the same time. I was able to get an auto watering system set up which has saved my back and knees and really helped the plants I think. I can't recommend it enough and it wasn't hard to do. Cost was under $100. It took some time to dial it in as far as the best flow for each plant but I've got it going 4x daily with a little hand water supplement every few days, mostly in the areas that the hydro rings don't cover very well, especially the outsides. With the watering under control, the only other work I've been doing in the grow is some defoliation to open up airflow through the plants, some low stress straining to pull the growth tips away from each other, and at the end of the week set up the net. They're working their way to nicely filling out the canopy. Flipping to flower now, so I'm making sure any light leaks are eliminated and covering any equipment lights with tape.

Growing this gelato 41 bx feminized along with some autos so it’s gonna veg for a while. May take some cutting eventually. I havnt seen any grows on this yet.
