Week 11 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ This week’s update is all about setting up for the big transition—we’re finally flipping these beauties into flower! But before we do, I took some important steps to ensure a smooth transition. Defoliation & Why It Matters Before Flower Before the flip, I gave them a thorough defoliation, clearing out lower and overcrowded leaves. Why? Because: More Light Penetration – Helps lower bud sites develop properly. Better Airflow – Reduces humidity buildup and risk of mold. Focused Energy – Encourages the plant to put energy into strong bud production instead of unnecessary foliage. Of course, balance is key—I trimmed enough to open things up but left plenty for healthy growth. Final Pre-Flip Routine • Temps & RH: Holding steady at 22°C with 66% RH, keeping conditions ideal before flower. • 💧 Nutrients: Running the Aptus Holland Clean Feeding Approach with: • Regulator for plant resilience. • RO Water Conditioner to balance pH and improve uptake. • System Clean, even though I’m not using a hydro system, to keep the root zone optimal. • All-in-One Liquid, which is now the primary nutrient source. • 🔄 Watering: Still bottom-watering to keep gnats away and encourage strong root growth. 36-48 Hours of Darkness Before the Flip Before switching the room to 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness, I’ll be giving them a 36-48 hour dark period. This technique helps signal the plants that it’s time to transition, leading to a faster and stronger flower initiation. Finally started seeing some baby buds! YES!!! I really start running into issues with humidifier staying on so I've basically gave up on it, at some point around here I added a heater near the inlet fan and it's jumped the temp numbers up quite a bit Some log entries: 1/21: Fed w/ 2 gallons for all 4 15ml big bloom, 10ml grow big and tiger bloom, 2.5ml cleankelp. all units per ga h2o 1/24: Fed w week 7 noots, trimmed 1-4, heavy on 1 & 4

Es war eine sehr gute Woche langsam kommen die zwei ersten Blätter ich habe das Gefühl sie streckt sich ein wenig vielleicht ist das weil die Lampe 76 cm von der Pflanze entfernt ist ich hoffe das ist nicht schlimm ich werde es einfach ausprobieren ich habe diese Woche gedüngt und zwar mit 0,5 g Bio Grow als Oberflächendünnung & mit in die Erde einmassiert Außerdem habe ich bio enhancer benutzt 0,5 Gramm auf 1 Liter Wasser zum Gießen

Day 37 - Hitting the ladies with a little LST. My cloner project took a bit of a backseat to life, so I'm a little late in the game to top these babies.... So I decided I'm going to do something I have never done before.... Let these plants grow naturally. Yeah, you read that right, I've never let a plant just grow out without some sort of fun training technique. Even my very first grow was riddled with aggressive plant shaping. This time will be different! This time I will be just doing some very basic LST to open up their branches to more light. I went in and stripped some of the inner growth sites that would have produced nothing but popcorn buds being so hidden from light. I then created anchor points around the grow bags by pushing toothpicks through the holes in the mesh. I like this because it gives me the ability to easily move around anchor points by simply sliding out the toothpicks and moving them where I please. I got the idea from seeing someone else use pushpins once, but I didn't have any on hand. And so, the toothpick hypothesis was born, and so far its working very well! Both ladies look much happier now that they're getting more light to their branches. The leaves on these Blazin' Skywalker plants are just so effing fat that they've been doing a solid job at blocking light to the branches. I tried doing some leaf tucking early on, but the branches just weren't quite long enough for me to properly tuck the leaves behind them and would constantly come un-tucked. She had gotten a bit over watered so I let her go a few extra days between watering. The next morning, she let me know I did the right thing. 💜

10 /11 Weeks Flower¬¬ It's going to be a long flowering phase! 18/01/2024 Performed a mid-day clean using hydrogen peroxide Moved Spicy Temp to the flower tent Noted that the temperatures are a little high Searching for a new, large heatsink for the CropMaster Pro 1000 to resemble the SK600. Considering modifications to the CropMaster's heatsink as it is currently equipped with a 12-watt fan driver, PC fans, and connected to the LED mains power. It still works well, but planning to replace some LEDs once this grow is completed. Fed 200ml of organic random feed to 5 plants Discovered a sprouted seedling beneath the Forgotten Haze and relocated it to the veg tent 19/01/2024 Noted the arrival of the flowers 20/01/2024 Conducted a mid-day photoshoot Started using natural fertilizer as flowering has commenced, applied 150ml for every 5 liters of water 20-01-2024 Recorded a video of the pre-flowering stage, indicating anticipation of a substantial yield 20/01/2024 Performed defoliation before the onset of substantial flowering and cleaned up the lower growth Implemented SCROG (Screen of Green) 22/01/2024 Recorded a video of the pre-flowering stage 23/01/2024 No major changes, just observing more leaves and flowers 23/01/2024 Trimmed off the small undergrowth shoots Missed a few of the lower growth shoots 24/01/2024 Gently stretched the plant within the SCROG setup I'm aware that I need to reposition the pot more to the left to ensure the plants stretch evenly from both sides, but honestly, I'm feeling a bit lazy to do it tonight. I'll tackle it first thing in the morning, I promise! Originally, my plan was to have two plants in the set-up, but it turns out that Freaky Pablo is male. And now for a plant-related joke: Why did the Forgotten Haze Cakes go to therapy? Because she had too many hang-ups! _____________________________________ #IT WAS A RIDDLE YA DIDDLE SEE IT- "I was so stoned & baked last night and a little bit pebbled and tripped over a rake and then I finally had a ''eureka moment'' of what, ''Banana Shrimps are symbolic of! haha, my innocence is now ruined! It can't be a calcium deficiency since I have been feeding 6ml of calcium to 5 liters of water. The only difference was the proximity of the light.

The White Blueberry finally recovered from small accident 😳 ufffff 🙏 She at last start to change her size and high, it's looks like she is chasing The Gelato. She is ready to go into the flowering stage 🌼 🌼 🌼 Few yellow leaves have been removed but other wise I haven't got any issue 😇 😇 😇 Please have a proper afternoon rest 🙏 You Lovely Girls Growers 😇 🌻

1-30 She was transplanted. Just covered and sat in the pot. 2-1 So is 3 gallon pot now. 2 tbs craftblend. 1/4 cup worm poo. 1 tsp Mammoth myco. First water in the pot. 500 ml ph 6.0 7ml of activated EM 1 Little less than 1/2 tsp recharge, sicila 1.5 ml Drops 1 ml. Hindsight should have only watered 250-300ml. 2-3 Loves her new home. Stretching all the way out! Momma lost her head. 2-4 350ml water plain. 2-7 350ml 1/8tsp myko .

Day 55 plant is growing nice and stretching is good. Day 56 plant is great did a little defoliation no pics for d56 did video for that day. Day 57 refilled refill tank 920ppm ph'd 6.2 plant is nice and healthy. Day 58 nothing new plant is nice and green and healthy. Day 59 all is great. Day 60 plant doing great nothing new. Day 61 defoliation done on plant. Plant doing well after defoliation healthy and green.

Doing some light defoliation to remove dying fan leaves and to expose the basement bud sites. I started the week with one last light feeding, and then I'm going with only water from here on out. Fingers crossed all goes well. 😎🌵

They are starting to shoot some pistils. I added some random store fertilizer that is 1-4-7 and put it in the 3 gallon. I poured it in a water bottle and just eye balled it pretty slow and not for long. It seems to help

Ultima semana de la etapa vegetativa, próxima semana empieza fotoperiodo 12/12 me impresiona la asimilación de nutrientes de la G13 que no muestra ninguna deficiencia y gran frondosidad, se hace destacar entre estas sativas una planta sumamente vigorosa con un crecimiento increíble tiene bien puesto su nombre. High Level 😍

Week went well. Did some major defoliation because it was getting very bushy I couldn’t even see the main stem. Also used some flex wire to LST the lower branches and the twin top. Had a bit of a hiccup where I didn’t water on a day that I should have apparently and it wilted a lot. But I just watered the crap out of it and it bounced back. More evidence of the strain’s (or at least this pheno of the strain’s) resiliency. Debating on whether to top all the lower branches. Feel free to weigh in in the comments below if you have an opinion on that. Feeling like I should. Also going to need to figure out how to raise this light higher, the pulley system that it came with is as high as it goes, so I’ll just have to juryrig something for it.

Day 43 - growing very well, preflowering a. defoliated some of the under runt growth b. bumped up the nutrients to my preflowering blend, 850ppm in DWC now, offsetting the measurements based of what is already in the res. c. PH is 6.5, the plant is liking the dwc, very similar growth to West Coast OG d. Fastbuds specifically recommends 6.5 PH for this strain, we are following directions e. performed some very light LST to the outside branches Day 44 - the very light LST is great a. the plant is really stretching out b. there are going to be many colas Day 45 - drinking alot of water a. growing very well, vegging hard b. added 4L to the DWC, 1000ppm Day 46 - she is stretching upward a. everything is going great, I love Fastbuds! b. when all other breeders are failing us, Fastbuds shines through Day 47 - growing well a. all is well in the world with our plant! Day 48 - growing well all over a. she is stretching upward, lowering the light a bit to encourage even more growth, 45cm away Day 49 - what a monster! a. all is growing well, in Geneva for the week, my grow partner is sending photos to me!
