Grow Diary Update: Week 5 - Pre-Flowering and LST Evaluation Entering Pre-Flowering Stage At the end of last week, the first pistils appeared, marking the beginning of the pre-flowering stage for my plants 🙌 There's much to manage now. To support optimal stretching, I've adjusted the nutrients following 2/3 of the Terra Aquatica feeding schedule: CalMag: 2 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.45 mS/cm) Grow: 1.33 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 1.33 ml/l The nutrient solution now has an EC of 1.3 mS/cm (638 ppm PPM-500/TDS) with a pH of 6.1. These adjustments aim to promote vigorous growth and prepare the plants for flowering. Weather and Growth With significant weather improvements, my plants are thriving at full speed. Every centimeter gained now counts towards maximizing the final yield, turning around from the challenging weeks prior. Pest Management I'm fortunate not to have encountered pests like spider mites, aphids, or thrips. However, the persistent snail issue remains. Nightly patrols with a flashlight have been effective, and placing old lettuce leaves away from the plants has helped trap and remove snails, ensuring the plants remain undisturbed. LST Experiment Results The two plants I trained with LST have responded admirably, showing healthy adaptation to the bending and vigorous growth. Yet, I'm at a crossroads regarding the upcoming stretch phase: should I continue to tie down branches to maintain an even canopy or allow natural upward growth to potentially boost vertical yield? Primo giorno della seconda settimana, Oggi ho ricevuto per posta cocos a e b, e abbassa pH e misuratore di pH. Ho subito provveduto subito a dare acqua con pH giusto per la prima volta. Fortunatamente tutte le piantine a parte una godono di una meravigliosa salute. Una sola ha mostrato due piccole macchie gialle sui bordi foglie , penso sia dovuto a pH sbagliato dei giorni scorsi. Vedrò cosa succede nei prossimi giorni. 27 gennaio 2 dei 4 pannelli led della lampada si sono bruciati. Venerdì arriverà una nuova lampada . Ho preso una niello 1200w con creecob , sarei contento di sapere se qualcuno la usa come si trova , o comunque di ricevere qualche info in più. 9 giorno mentre attendo la nuova lampada led, le piante continuano a crescere. Giorno 10 arrivata la nuova lampada da 1200w della niello dopo un paio di ore di accensione le piante sembrano gradire. Ho ancora molti dubbi sulla quantità di acqua da dare e ogni quanto ma sto studiando per il capirlo meglio. Ultimo giorno di questa seconda settimana. Le piantine sembrano crescere bene tranne una. È rimasta piccola e con foglie verde scuro. Ho letto tantissime cose sulle varie cause, troppo azoto, troppa acqua etc . L ho trapiantata in un nuovo caso con nuovo terriccio e trattata con una doppia dose di radici di potere, ed enzimi speriamo si riprenda.

Sep 20: Lemon Cream Kush smells great and the buds are looking really nice. Nice big and hard buds covered in white trichomes. Life is good. Did a second flush as the buds need another week and I like how the first flush went. Otherwise just pHed water. Sep 24: removed some more fan leaves to let more light onto the ripening buds. She has picked up some nice frosting in the last few days and smells really great. Will likely keep going as long as the weather is good. Maybe three more weeks at most. Sep 25: harvested the tops. Maybe a bit early but today was a good day to do it before 3-4 days with cool rainy weather. Put 310 g into freezer and 1040 g in the washing machine. Total 1350 g wet buds harvested is equivalent to 340 g dried. There is still a lot on the plant to leave for another couple of weeks, and she will be well over a pound dried weight. Hashwashing recovered 56 g of beautiful light tan coloured wet resin.

It's a shame my ventilation system came in a month after I grew mold but at least I can make some brownies with about 25 grams of some pretty dank bud.

No issues all week steady away I might have underwatered slightly this week partly because it's been so hot! Only noticed when I hand my hands in the media for a check. Had a nice rinse with some bioenhancer. Measured the plant at its highest point 30cm but its measuring at 60cm wide and its now just a waiting game till we achieve a little height. Still not defoliated anything at all yet but looking at it if I'm to keep an even ish canopy I might want to look at it. Tho it grows very strangely. It's like it will grow a little bit here and then the next day a little bit there so it's forever looking abit lobsided middle is due for its turn tomorrow tho. I've tried to control it by spinning the plant thinking it might be down to the air circulation but it appears it's not that.

This plant was an absolute joy to trim. This plant consisted of buds and stems only, so I am actually curious what the dry weight will be.

Woche 13 ging nur zwei Tage. Für meinen Geschmack war die Pflanzen an Tag 58 ausreichend reif. Zuvor wurden ja schon die Headbuds geerntet, da es kleine Opfer an den Pilz gab. Die letzten Tage verbrachten die Pflanzen bei 48h dauerhafter Beleuchtung und abschließenden 12h Dunkelheit. Ob eines von beiden einen positiven Effekt hatte lässt sich nicht klären aber kaputt gehen, kann davon nicht viel und ich kann Argumente für beides nachvollziehen, von daher kombinieren wir mal beide Varianten. Alles in allem war es jeden Tag eine Freude das Zelt zu öffnen, zu sehen wie die Blümchen sich entwickeln und sich von ihrem Duft betören zu lassen. Da die Gesetzeslage es so möchte, werden nur 250g für den Konsum im Cannatrol getrocknet und gecured. Somit sollten wir rechnerisch bei 50g Trockengewicht auskommen. Der Rest landet in einem Wurmkomposter, um zumindest die aufgebrachte Energie nicht ganz zu verlieren. Bleibt Sauber! 💚🍀🌍

7 months after planting her from seed the day is finally here. A little earlier than I would of liked due to insects (crickets/grasshoppers eating buds) but she's thereabouts finished. Probably lost 1/3 of buds from the chewing insects but still a big yield and my drying room is full 😊 She survived two rainy season's and some serious wind from a tropical depression back in September. I have kept this grow completely organic so no pesticide or chemical fertilizers used. Apart from heavily amending the soil at the start I mostly fed her crabmeal once a month and seaweed and molasses in most waterings. A few of those waterings were diluted with my urine 😆👌 NPK right!? Why not.. then at the end I added a cultured pro biotic yogurt to the soil 2 days before I harvested. (Tip from a fellow grower @med_in_tropic - thanks bro) Not sure if it made any difference as I cannot compare with another plant but, the plant starting smelling like lemon furniture polish.. like a lemon scent with a fuel undertone. Almost menthol like 🤷‍♂️.. smells amazing. Me and my wife drank tea from the trimming and the citrusy flavour came though into the tea which was nice. Weather wise the temperature is down now to around 16c at night with RH around 50% so the buds should dry much slower than the last harvest so I should get a better flavour profile. Smoke report to follow after she has been in a jar for a week or so.. I did try a bud sample a few weeks back and the taste then was already pleasant so for sure this will be fire... 🔥 Thanks for all the kind comments, this was my first ever grow start to finish.
