A big week for defoliation and lollipop. It is evident that topping an asymmetrical plant does create more tops, slightly uneven. The 6 Strawberry plants are huge for 7 weeks. Originally, I was planning to wait until January to transplant, however, the roots were showing out of the bottom of the pots, and every plant is over a foot tall and half are over 2 feet. I believe the CO2 Exhale bag makes a difference in the speed of growth and development. These are heavy feeders. All showed some nitrogen deficiency earlier on and I’ve increased feeding. I planned to use grow dots extended for photo period plants when I transplanted them to 5 gal. I asked Santa in early November, and he kept sending notice that the order had been delayed. So, I decided to use TPS1 for this grow. I flipped to 12/12 on 12/28 and will water only this week. I hope to reduce the stretch during the first 2 weeks of flower. I must admit; I took on more than I can handle. I started these in November expecting them to be much smaller at 6 weeks. But no, these gals have grown with vigor. I had these 6 huge plants and 4 autos in the 4X4 tent. They grew faster and bigger than the autoflowers am used to growing. Christmas week was hectic with 5 harvests, 6 transplants and defoliation. I had to have my husband assist in the transplant to hold the plant as I held the fabric pot open. Week has been good besides me accidentally snapping my main cola off of my one plant while doing some additional LST. Had to stake a couple of them because of a storm and they didn't seem rooted that well apparently. But all and all decent.

Week 16: *whewww* well technically this is the first full week of Flower... I followed the directions and went to 18/6 for "Early Flower".. but in the future I will refer to this as pre-flower and will start this about a month before going into Flower... I think this helps make the flip more pronounced and will help with a more consistent flower in my tent. Who knows tho? We do see pistils - so that's exciting... and tbh I was saying we vegged for too long.. but who knows, maybe we will have an extensive root system and will be able to support larger buds! Nothing is really a loss at this point, and I will say I'm even learning more about myself. I'm a thinker I like to process things, I like doing it with people.. and I don't mind making mistakes... but I rather them be calculated.. So I know what to do or not to do in the future... I'm realizing my partner is more of a tinkerer.. he always has big ideas and likes to use his energy to move toward them.... I think we complement each other because my thoughts would've led me toward stopping the growth of this project a long time ago.. but I'm happy it's still going!

Day 56 This plant is clearly in a much better state than the others. The leaves are standing more firmly with a strong, healthy green color across most of the canopy. There’s no significant drooping, and overall it shows good vigor. One of the standout differences is the structure: it has developed many more internodes compared to the stressed plants. The spacing is consistent, giving the plant a dense framework with plenty of future bud sites. This compact but vigorous growth suggests the roots are functioning well and nutrient uptake is steady. While there are still a few minor signs of stress here and there, the plant overall looks balanced and much more capable of handling the transition into flowering. The canopy is filling out nicely, and it already shows strong potential for multiple tops to develop evenly. Compared to the weaker plants, this one feels “on track” — healthy, structured, and ready to keep building momentum. The priority now is to maintain stable conditions, avoid overwatering, and let the plant continue its natural growth without unnecessary interference.

This week the new growth of the plants transitioned from looking relatively healthy to droopy and yellowed. I wasn't sure what the issue was at first and thought it might be light stress. After more research, I determined that I had what looked very much like a zinc deficiency, which is almost always a symptom of over-watering, which is the most common mistake for new growers, i.e. "Me". I had assumed that adding a good amount of perlite to my soil and using smart pots would prevent me from running in to any drainage issues but I guess not. I was up to 1.5 liters per plant when I realized that it was too much. I also realized I was misreading my syringe which I use to mix nutrients, and that i had been giving only 1/10 of the liquid nutrients that I thought. I'm super embarrassed about the mistake but I'm going for full transparency here, so there it is. Course correction takes places after day 31.

Finally coming to a close. I started this thing almost 5 months ago in the middle of the woods... the nugs are the densest I have grown so I’m excited to see how it finishes. I also have this northern light auto next to it with a nice layer of trichomes
