Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

Day 23 of flower, 50ish remaining. Alright, another smooth week 😁 Got some sugar forming on the leaves that looks pretty and is getting me excited 😁 I started using the Co2 this week as well as the terpinator. Might invest in an oscillating fan to help distribute the co2 better. Got some colas forming (I counted very roughly 75ish main colas). The leaves also really have that distinctive sativa appearance. The trash basket to hang the co2 is a great idea if your thinking of one in the future. Not much of a smell really yet. I DO have one question this week tho. Should I do a little defoliation on some of the lower fan leaves as its getting quite bushy in there again but I dunno if I should mess around with the buds forming now. All goes well, They are speeding up and the temperature is doing its job. They are liking the climate and also the little one on the back left has started to grow as it should. What a wonderful strain. Grazie 😇

Week one of flower in the books I watered Monday with grow nutrients !! Then watered late in the week with phd water and molasses now I’ve switched to my bloom nutes as of this morning I did find that my ph meter is off glad I found the problem early on in flower could’ve been bad later on Oan in another 5 days I’ll do one more defoliation after that I won’t bother them again till harvest !!! Let me know what you guys think

Day 65 : This lady started to make amber some of the trichomes. So today i flushed this mature lady with around 50L+ . Runout before flush was 1300ppm. After flush the runout was 400ppm. I decided to stop there. The plan is the next watering to be with pure water and when she drinks it chop chop. I goal for 15%-20% of amber. Now lets say that we are between 5%-10%. She has big heavy nuggs, not long but fat enough. LST was perfect on this lady, almost all colas are in the same height and growth. Edit Day 69 : The nuggs are very thick, Stills i don't see the number of them that i want. So i watered with pure water and continue till is ready. Leaves started to getting yellowish, so flush was successful.

overall very satisfied with the results and can't wait for the drying and curing to finish so i can lit one up!! the growing process wasn't that hard until she stressed during one of the training sessions and i had to cut off 2 colas during the veg cycle. for my first harvest ever i'm pretty happy with this little beauty:) day 2 of drying: weight dropped by half. total is now 50g and there's some more to loose 🙈 started curing the buds after 4 days of drying- overall 20g of dried buds ------ first taste 👅 (2 weeks curing): man it was worth waiting for an acceptable curing time before digging in, i tried it twice before and i have to say that curing plays a huge role when it comes to flavors, scents and high (so basically all the aspects that matter). wasn't even close to what i'm experiencing right now. great high, the taste is great with yummy fruity aftertastes. also looks like the volume of the buds have decreased by about 30-40% but they got denser will wait some more to see how curing benefits this one! ------- update 11/19/20 i had the trimmed leaves freezes so i decided to make some coconut infused RSO

Beginning of week.. I did remove a few fan leaves.. I also only adjusted the very top branches.. The very lowest branches are completely untied and have only had some HST but recovered a little too well.. The stems have straightened back out and are all knotted up.. Damnit.. Same issue I faced in my last grow.. I should just stop being lazy and tie all the damn branches down.. But all this week I will be adding more training.. Kinda slowly.. Not for any reason, other than it takes a while and I need to make time for it all lol.. It should get done in the next 2 - 3 days and she should be ready for her next photoshoot (mid week pics)! Went ahead and added in some FloraBloom.. She wasn't getting much P.. So I pee'd on her LMAO im just kidding.. Just adding a half dose of FloraBloom to take care of the P issue.. I need to start watering/feeding daily.. She seems to be drinking quite a bit more.. Which would make perfect sense duh! Lol Next day... Went ahead and adjusted 4 branches.. Tying down the bottom 2 that were left untied.. Now she is all tied down lol... Looking flat as fuck! I love it! One branch was beginning to crack.. So I eased up on it.. But still bent the very top of that stem down a little.. So the lower branches should still be able to catch up.. She is going to be a seriously gorgeous, thick bush lol Mid week.. Doing good.. Still just watering, feeding, watering, feeding, etc.. What I do is I feed one day, wait 2 days and water, then feed again the next day.. Then wait 2 days and water.. The point of doing that is so she has more days of nutes than with less nutes.. Idk.. Just my take on it.. She is becoming such a gorgeous bush! End of week.. She is getting so bushy. Going to have to flip to 12/12 tomorrow and also put her in a 2'×2'×5 CoolGrows tent.. This is not what I wanted to do.. But this is a last minute decision.. Hope it works out still

Start Woche 4 Blüte. Leider vermehren sich die Trauermücken gerade wieder🤐🤐🤐 Bis die SF Nematoden da sind gab es vorsorglich etwas Neemcake als Topdress.. Dienstag gibt's dann nochmals SF Nematoden und ich hoffe danach hab ich dann Ruhe. Zähes Pack😠 Blütetag 23 Die beiden bekamen heute nochmals je 1,5l Wasser mit SF Nematoden. Blütetag 25 Nochmals je 1,5l Wasser mit SF Nematoden.

frost banger la plante m'a surpris. je pensais à vue d'œil recevoir dans les 250 grammes . mais les tête sont dense et lourde . donc resultat final 370 grammes humide . le nombre de trichome visible et impressionnant super plante à première vue . plus que le séchage et la dégustation la deuxième plante est plus grosses. donc 1er conclusion elle a l'air d'être exceptionnelle attendre la suite

Week3 sunce germination and I'mloving how they are evolving they are all back on the run and happy as hell🤭😁😅 week 3 day 17 veg and the roots on this cuties are fantastic, they all look kind of the same, super happy with them so far. week 3 day 17 veg And TP1 got her second pair of leaves and she is willing to catch up with the rest , the rest they are way ahed and all on the write track 😅❤️ week 3 day 18 veg and it looks like CS3 wants to pass CS1 but still same same and CS1 still the most beautiful one 😅 week 3 day 18 veg TP1 going for her secont pair 🤩 week 3 day 18veg Transplant day since they all have ok roots 😅 i moved TP1 with the others so the she doesn’t fell left behind 😅✌️ Now they will stay in this pots until fabric one to flower, but baby steeps for now i’m going to give them some food 😅 week 3 day 20 veg. And they are loving the new pot and feedings, TP1 continues to run after they’re sisters with are all going for tiny brunches (all of them) the queen still CS1 but the rest is caching up 😜😅🤩 week 3 day 21 veg. And a lot happened lol during the day yesterday i lost one of my improved leds so today i had to teke one of m zeus from flower tent( its almost done its ok 😜) and improvise a corner half under a table with only one bar connected to the driver , and I’m running it st 25% this will have to work out for a week mb a little longer lets see 😜😅 week 3 day 21 veg. Girls evolving great, CS1 still the queen, faster growing, amazing leaves great roots , it looks like a keeper, CS3 and CS2 they have some mutant leaves , so I’m yet to see how they evolve, but they are not keepers since i’m phenohunting so i will keep only the most perfect ones to clone. week 3 day 21 veg.
