Welcome to the 2018/19 indoor grow season!!! I am totally psyched to be growing Blackberry from FastBuds as one of the first strains this season. I was fortunate enough to have won 7th place for my Tangie'matic diary and won seeds from FastBuds. When searching the FastBuds website for a strain to choose I was looking for something purple and fruity. I think I found the answer here in BlackBerry. One of the seeds was started a couple of days ahead of the other. The first seedling is looking pretty good, the second not as much, but I'm confident it will grow out of its funk. I am seeing some signs of burn, I guess the soil must be too hot. I started to try to flush through with straight ph'ed water, but then I started seeing signs of overwatering (rookie mistake, I know). Now I'm just trying to keep a little water on the bottom tray so it generates some humidity in the dome. There's also a heat mat under the tray I have the heat mat on a timer also, 30 min on/30 min off cycling all day. It seemed to get too hot on 24/7. I'll be transplanting and moving to my 2'x4' tent in about a week. They will live there during veg, then I'll be moving to a 4'x8' tent (not purchased yet) for flower. I'm also planning on adding some COB LED's in the flower tent. Then I'll dedicate my 2x4 tent to mothers, clones and seedlings. Its going to be a little different this season with both photo period and autoflowering strains going at the same time. But I'm looking forward to it! 👍 Stay tuned...

Grand Daddy Purple auto had a good growth spurt this week. She had her first lst and defoliation today. She has been growing vigorously this last week. This is a great sign and hopefully she keeps thriving. Everything is looking really good at the moment. start of week 9

Both plants have almost stopped growing in heigth now and are in full flowering mode now. Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) Plant #1 is 15 cm shorter than plant #2, but a little bushier. Both have grown very well and are strong and healthy. They get more and more flower clusters now and start to fill up all branches. Trichomes start to appear all over...the plants start to get sticky and develop a weak sweet aroma now. Its time to take off the biggest fan leaves now for defoliation, I took a round of pics before and after.

Second week of flowering and still going strong. I experienced a bit of stretching within the first week of flowering but it seems so have slowed down and the buds are finally starting to put out. 4-6 weeks left before harvesting I reckon.

Start of week 2 of flowering, both girls were drooping heavily and the medium was dry and pots were very light feeling. Removed the worst leaves from each plant and a few large fan leaves. Overall, I'm very happy with the weeks growth and development.

Week 9 and the Zkittlez are starting to show first real flower signs! Plants drank well over 60L of Nutrients in week 8.

At the beginning of week 2 the plants have grown fine, but also developed some yellow leaf-tips, which I assume is from the amount of light they receive. Therefore I decide to hang the both LED-fixtures higher. The LUMATEK ZEUS PRO 600W is now at 75 cm distance and the two SANlight Q6W-Gen.2 are at 90 cm distance from the top of the clones of CANNALOPE HAZE from DNA-GENETICS. The humidity inside the HOMEBOX-tent is kept permanently at 60% during veg. The grow-controller GROWBASE PRO from GROWCONTROL does a GREAT job in keeping a constant environment inside my growtent. As a precaution I put up some yellow sticky traps against fungus-gnats and also hang sachets with predatory mites from KOPPERT (=Thripex PLUS) on every plant. This will prevent spider-mites and thrips to invest my tent, since the predatory mites will eat them right away. I LOVE BIOLOGICAL TREATMENTS and decide on it every time instead of using chemicals, because I grow my own medicine here and dont want ANY CHEMICALS on my cannabis! 👍😎 At the end of week two I slightly increase the light intensity again, by adjusting the dimmers of my LEDs. The Lumatek is now set to 50% dimm-level and the SANlights are running at 60%. Until now there is not much difference to see between the two sides, all plants are healthy and doing well.

Hi all. I hope to are all as interested as I am to see what this light can really do. I have been learning g to use l.e.d for the past 3 years and the majority of that has been using Mars Hydro lights. I originally grew for a few decades in HPS 600 watt bulbs and laughed at the new kid on the block ( l.e.d) and its fancy boxing and blurple colours and never saw a tine I could afford the kind of L.e.d that was being used by industrial and pharmaceutical grade growers worldwide. These were always way too expensive to make the conversion worth the benefits to my home growing. I started on the Mars Tsl2000 and soon had 2 , then added an sp250 followed by the very good sp3000 . Having the chance to try this new 300w beauty and its sexy framework too , was an opportunity too good to miss so here we are.It has been a lesson in training for a slight penetration difference mainly between the hps and l.e.d and keeping them in light as direct as I can. They are running at 50% for now as the ladies are just adjusting to the soil mix . The 2 Mexican airline are having a slight issue with the soils strength I think so have only just really started to settle down. I thought one was going to die of toxicity but it has kept going . The Strawberry Pie seem the most settled so far and are beginning to put their next leaf sets out but the six Shooter also has signs of disliking the initial soil mix. A few more days to settle in and a good watering cycle should sort them out better. So not much to really report this early on except we got 6 from 6 as a start lets hope it stays productive. Gave her an xtreme gardening tea with Be1 and Be2 added. Also threw in some seafuel from bloom yellow. The plant is looking amazing and is blowing up like crazy. Everyday I notice more growth. And I just got a new light that should be here today so I'm super stoked. The cover crop is a pain in the ass but growing this with fungus and microbes in the pot is amazing and the plant loves it. Next round I'll buy a bigger pot and amend the soil so I'll be more set flower without adding so much in teas and waterings. This is my learning run. And all is good ✌️.

A big hello to all the cannabis growing gardeners...and all the other visitors that came across my grow journal. Just on harvest day I was summoned on a long quest...around 700 km. will be away for three days. I will update this diary as fast as i"m back. For now just the photos as no time for anything. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now cannabis smell is overpowering in my grow room I can finally write something about Spider Farmers 6-Inch Inline Fan with Smart Controller and Carbon Filter :) As my grow room gets really stinky at times i always invest in a top shelf carbon filter almost twice the size of the one provided by Spider Farmer, to my shock Spider Farmer carbon filter absorbs the smells wonderfully well. No smell leaks and that just when the fan is running at 5 out of 10 levels of output. The smart controller is something completely new to me, and had a lot of fun experimenting with it during the veg and early flower, when the smell began i needed it to run full time at level 4 or 5 to rid the fragnance. All in all the whole combo is a great deal. If you are not as keen on technology the set without the controller is awesome on it's own. But to have some extra options open, the controller at the device throws at you a ton of settings you can use to optemiase you grow enviornment.
