Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. The overall experience of growing and smoking this genetic is an 8 star in my opinion, definitely good! I'll grow it again just for the good smell ahahah

Hey everyone 😃. Day 1 : The seeds were placed between 2 moist towels to germinate and sealed in a box. Day 2 : No change . Day 3: Both seeds have sprouted and you can see a small tip of the root coming out. Day 4: The tip of the root looks out about 0.5 - 1 cm. today they were set in stone wool blocks. These were placed in water beforehand and mixed with a little Rizotonic to stimulate root formation. Day 5: Today, both seedlings stick their heads out about 1 cm 😊. (The grow box is sprayed under the hood every day to keep it moist.) Day 6: Today the heads are already looking 2 cm out. Day 7: Both rock wool blocks were planted in Canna Coco, and some water with an Ec mixture 0.4 was added. So they stay under the hood for about 7-10 days. (The lid is opened a little wider every 2-3 days to get used to the lower humidity. Flowering is going amazing, this candy cane is growing some very fast weight and caking up with Trichome’s. The sweet and slightly minty berry smell is growing in power day by day, and I’m very happy with how the size of the buds are developing since adding the increase of 2-8-4 and fish bone meal, just a little bit, not too much at all and she’s reacting great, knowing that the candy cane is a larger auto in size makes me a bit sad with the total size of this plant, but in its young age as my very first auto I believe I probably stunted it, but after all this and how she looks now Im more than happy with the growth, yield and quality of it, just speaking now as I do not obviously know how much I Will revive from it, I’m guessing about a ounce. No small bud sites other than maybe one on a lower branch that already has a main top cola on it. The main cola is massive and packing on a lot of size. I’ve switched the light to a hour less now as I am growing 2 photo indica L.A grape and with the season change I am having to fix my temp and humidity more for the photos, so changing to a 17-7 schedule has actually helped quite a lot and also has helped my other autos veg slightly better. But all in all I’m very exited!

The situation is getting interesting, flowering is coming in the final part for our Green Crack F1 Hybrid Auto. First of all, we have another plant that is growing straight, you can see it in the photos in the Zamnesia pot that is doing very very well. It is behind in flowering compared to this one because it was planted later but it drinks two liters a day, it has huge sunbathing leaves, and it is starting to flower. The plant worked with the main lining shows a typical characteristic according to my experience of the F1 Hybrid: these plants have a very fast flowering so they start to mature a little earlier in the sense that they put out flowers the red pistils while the flower is still swelling, it happened to me with all of them, I think even with the RQS ones in the past. From the observation of all the F1s I can notice that you can see some red and the flowers do not seem very big but after a while they reach a nice size. This one is in the swelling phase and in these days it is starting to change color from the top. Very beautiful, I hope they swell the buds properly and it will be perfect. The shape is very very beautiful as is the structure of this plant indeed. We are still using soil, fertilizers and all the additives recommended by Plagron 100% organic. With her We have switched to the late flowering program that wants the additives Sugar Royal, Pure Zym for another week and adds the flowering stimulant Power Buds and the myth Green Sensation. Started off by just seeing if I could get the seed to grow . As the process came along I felling love with growing. Now I want to learn more and try new ways to grow

So far things are going well. Bloom has started and already seeing purple/pink hues on the buds. Will be back to update properly just posting up a few pictures before i forget. Check out the YouTube channel. Water change at day 31 and pH'd the water to 5.8. I also got a new RO 4 stage water filter for the best water quality for the girls so ill be using that on the next water change. The smell is sweet in the tent. All seems to be going ok. Day 34 - The girls seem happy enough, a few colder nights than needed but all in all, happy with there progress.

Trip out of town to check on Buddy (As now named by the helper). Plant looked good on arrival but rather a lot of yellow leaves with the nice looking buds. I removed some of the shaded yellow fan leaves and sprayed the rest with Gaia Green soluble seaweed extract as a foliar spray. Also crushed in one calcium citrate pill. The remaining 0.5 L was watered onto the soil. Within half an hour you could see the green colour coming back to the leaves. Amazing revival trick it seems. After giving that some time which lets the potassium do its thing, I then fed it a final round of nutrients in pHed water (molasses, Big Bud, calcium citrate and Epsom salts). K followed by Ca and Mg. Planning to just use water for next two weeks. It is looking really nice. I had topped it several times during vegetation and consequently there were too many branches/colas happening. Removed four small ones as testers. Tied branches to cage to provide support and resilience against wind (see videos). Also placed logs to buttress the base so it won’t tip over in a strong wind. It was good to see Buddy again and I’ll check in her again soon.

Everything looking really good. Couple more day then switching to 12/12 with 2 weeks of half strength veg / bloom nutrients. Plenty of height left for the final stretch .

08/07/2020 Flowering week 2 for the bigger plant, all are cuttings of Red Sky I'm growing outside but this one is stinking some crazy smells not sure how to describe burnt rubber? And pine tar? Best I can say. Application of L A B this week to feed the microbial communities. Application to leaf surfaces to combat pw (prevent) bud rot.

Week 3 D2 increased RH to ~70% D3 Height 14cm 1 / 13cm 2 Plants looking good. I'm full satisfied D4 3cm growth over night ***May the fourth be with you ;-)*** D5 1/19 cm 2/18 cm D7 No incidents, good week for the plants
