Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering.... I think. I'm finally seeing flowering on all 5 plants now. A couple of them took their time showing their white pistils. Looking very sativa-ish in here. The tallest plant is over 80 inches and might be growing through the roof vent before it's done. Plant #3 is the keeper of this lot... but it has a strong, lemony, used laundry water, type of smell to it. Sleepy Joe has this type of smell too. Been hot in here this week. I've had to water by hand each day to avoid wilting. Haven't felt very well this week... Got a flu or something.... Feeling better today.. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

The pistils are turning brown and I’m checking the trics daily. Flushing comes soon. Lowered the DLI to 38, maybe I will go even lower this week to keep the terps and to avoid foxtailing.

Another pretty solid week in the books on these girls. I did have my first real issue though and totally my fault. I have been topping with a mix of nutrients and just plain RO water and have not been adding in my calmag to the RO water and a few leaves showed some signs of deficiencies but I think I have corrected the issue pretty quickly. I may be adding a second trellis because these girls are growing like crazy, I am very glad I put the net up when I did, spreading these girls out and providing some support seems like it was 100% needed. I am still learning and figuring out what and when to defoliate and remove some things. I did a bit of defoliation on Friday and tried to clean up the bottoms of these girls a bit under the net. I know I am going to need another round of that, but I will give them a few more days to recover. I am still keeping the nutrient strength relatively low and seems to be working out just fine. My environment, temps, rh, and water temps are all staying in pretty ideal conditions. Grow seems to be going well, just need more experience and practice with training and defoliation, but its been a blast! 4/26: I top-dressed their pots with about a tablespoon of Happy Frog Cavern Culture and watered it in really slowly with about 1/4 gallon of water each, and added cal-mag, humic acid, liquid molasses, silica. I also started them on open sesame. Increased Ph to 6.40 to ensure that they can utilize the increased calcium and the P and K I'm giving them. 4/27: I did some training on both of them today. 4/29: Both plants are stretching a little bit, but they need to get really busy if they wanna impress me.. 5/1: I gave them a little water with cal-mag, boomerang, humic acid, and silica. 5/2: I sprayed them with boomboom spray this morning...grow bitches, grow! 5/3: I did a slow-soak feeding today. Backed off the nitrogen a little more, increased silica, and started adding sweet & sticky and signal.

So missed a lot of weeks in between here and now as life got busy, its ok, shit happens. Gotta focus on the real world and no so much diaries on a site for free... Plants are doing well. had a bit of a issue with some PH in the medium, it got out of wack, or something in the fertilizer reacting with something in the sprayer chamber, noticed before when adding the nutrient solution into the sprayer there was some steam/mist/vapour coming off of it. During this I accidentally over used PH down and then used some PH up to fix it, but I think it did not like this. The result was some leaf burning on all the plants, it did not like that. So now I know to toss it out and start again if I can. I also bleached out the sprayer at beginning but thought I rinsed out all the remaining bleach, even ran a Vit C through it as it will neutralize bleach but I might have missed the lip of the sprayer or part of its manual air pump handle mechanism. Also noticed I was underfeeding them a fair bit in veg weeks, was so scared of stressing them out into early flower it happened anyway. I increase feeding to aorund 700ppm on my pen or aorund 1.4EC, ideally I'll stay at 1.2-1.4 EC for the rest of the grow unless they showing they really want more. The runoff has been stable on PH and about 200PPM different from whats going in, meaning they are eating when I am giving them and they may want more. at least some of them. I have a feeling a small amount of burn will happen on the smaller ones at 1.4EC. Well see how it goes.

Week 9 - First Week of Flowering 🌸 The dark period has ended, and these ladies came back into the light fully energized and ready for action! It’s just the first week of flower, and they’re all praying, stretching, and absolutely thriving—filling up every inch of the tent. Large leaves help the plant capture maximum light energy, essential during this stage, especially as they start focusing on developing those flowers. When plants grow huge, vibrant leaves like these, it means they’re well-nourished and content in their environment—a true testament to the well-balanced conditions we’ve got going in the tent! Flowering Parameters 🌡️ Room Environment: • Temperature: 26.7°C • Humidity: 63.3% • CO2: 960 ppm • VPD: 1.29 kPa (prime zone for flowering health!) Lighting: • Light Intensity: 835 PPFD (ideal for boosting flower growth) • Solution: pH 5.96, TDS 460 ppm, temp 21.1°C • Medium: Moisture: 100%, TDS: 520 ppm, Temp: 21.6°C Carbon Filter Installation & Smell Management 🌬️🌱 With the transition to flower, the scent profile is already starting to kick in—crazy for the first week, right? 🌸 To keep everything fresh and under wraps, I’ve set up a carbon filter system. - VEGETATIVA - •Prima settimana• Passati i 7 giorni di germinazione procediamo con il conteggio delle settimane di vegetativa. Le piante reagiscono bene, tenere sotto controllo con analisi visiva le foglie e il terreno, controllare ed essere precisi con il PH dell’acqua a 6.5 (solo dopo abbiamo scoperto l’importanza) inizialmente fino alla 4 settimana di vegetativa non l’abbiamo controllato e infatti più avanti noterete delle piccole carenze, tutto molto risolvibile comunque. Mantenere un’irrigazione costante, solitamente ogni 3/4 giorni circa 2/300 ml. Ovviamente sta a voi capire quanta ne serve, sempre meglio aspettare un giorno in più (foglie cadenti) piuttosto che irrigare troppo spesso (causerebbe problemi maggiori l’irrigazione eccessiva).

Just moving branches around now with the tie wires to get an even spread under the light , heat mats are staying on to combat ambient temps of 5C , flushed them and will feed them another week or two of veg nutes .

Harvest day was 89. Short: Frosty plant, density is lacking, lots of leafs, some mutation, slow growing but big in the end, smells good skunky fruity for now, will update after cure. I have to compare this one to my other plant the Ultra G13 and Brain Freeze lacks a lot. It grows kinda slow, buds are not nearly as dense, trimming was horrible, overall I would say 50/50 fluffy/dense compared to the Ultra G13 85% dense and 15% kinda but not really fluffy in the same system under the same conditions. Total wet yield is just fine, can't say anything bad about that, this is limited by my tent, would have gotten more with this plant as a solo one in the 2x4. Managed to get the Net Cup out of the tube compared to the Ultra G13 which I had to saw of. Overall I would say a plant one can do but nothing to chase for, might update that after cure who knows. Update: dried weight is 280g total, 50/50 dense and fluffy buds but all are frosty, smells like sweet candy, overall a great yield that I did not expect, was kinda stressed with this one since it only came to its potential in the last few weeks but it did came. Will not grow it again in the near future but maybe some time later. Did bake some brownies with it but didn't count how much so I did not add that to the total yield.

03/05/2021 Beginning of week 4 looking good, I think she will start flowering in week 5-6, so I might top her, she is growing fast so I hope it will not harm flowering time. Ps. I did top And 24 hours later I can see all is well, where I topped her is healing, and side branches responding! I know she will be ready for flowering. Check out video and see.

Started with some bent which really made side branching take off. I'm just doing leaf tucking, all branches get plenty of light, so no need for bending IMO. One is quite a bit bigger than the other, if this is a fenotype thing or something I did we will never know since the sample is too small to make conclusions... So its the one in the slightly smaller pot that is bigger. Also, I switched positions between both to see if this makes difference... but I never noticed hotspots or such in my earlier grows.... One of my annoyances of small-scale operations is that there is never enough data to be able to make conclusions based in facts. It could always be nature or nurture, because I lack control groups. Maybe my government will someday finally see the backwater retardedness of our way of dealing with cannabis. For now no other option than staying within the law. I like weed and growing but I like my freedom more. The XL Runtz are remarkably resistant and vigorous, with extreme growth in just under three weeks after germination. Beautiful plants and they handle a high light / high organic nute situation from very early on. Coming week I'll just be leaf tucking, no further LST since they are already going into flower. Ill be adding BAC Organic Flower coming days along with my solution of wood ash and perma tea. Also Ill be starting the three 56 ltr growbags to start the three regulars that will run in the same 18 hr lightschedule. And that light, trusty SP-3000, what a machine, what results so far and how reliable so far. She doesn't get too warm at all, just contributes to a nice greenhouse atmosphere without any climate management other than me checking temps and RH. Usually, I need no adjusting, no ventilation, no heating or airco, my system is pretty self-containing and autonomous in the stabile attack where it is. And lets be real, I get results as in grams per watt and per plant that only the 600 watt / Hydroponic guys get. With organic growing, in such small scale with 300 watt. Phew! She's growing with insane vigor!! She was watered with a 2.5 gallon dosage of de-chlorinated tap water today! The previous 1.5 Gallon dosage was "only"(lol) lasting for 3 days before becoming 90% dry, so I've gone up to max dosage! 2.5 Gallons caused 15% of that water to run-off, out of the bottom of the pot. She will likely dry to 90% again, and be ready for another dosage in 5 days! I'm extremely excited to defoliate her, she's testing my patients! :)
