Flush week is here! Or was here lol. I was behind on my journal's and I've actually already chopped the girls (pics included) and will update soon with a harvest week as soon as they are finished hang drying. The trichomes were cloudy white with roughly 20-30% amber trichomes and some wonderful terp aromas from each. 100K has a smell and taste (we sampled a bud dried in a paper bag, was fantastic) has a similarity to Slapz from the same release and it is honestly a great flavor and aroma to have. She also has hints of nutty earthiness underneath from her White Truffles and they blend well together. Grandaddy's terps vary going down her branches so far. At the top her grapey berry aroma is dominant where as the lower buds are more heavily of flowers (violets, i agree with leafly on that aroma description for GDP) with hints of the berries. A sample from a paper bag was mostly of violet flowers and smoke smooth with a deep relaxing high. Better info to come with the harvest week update! Plants were left in 48 hours of darkness with attention to airflower kept to prevent mold Our drying set up: The tent light is off, with oscillating fan removed. Only an intake was left on the bottom (removed oscillating fan after 1st day was too much) with a small monkey fan pointed across to keep it moving along the floor, with the exhaust running up top to keep even airflow around the buds. I'm trying to avoid any direct airflow on the buds. The trellis net is lifted to the top of the tent, to hang the branches from easily with plant wire. Our drying conditions: The branches are hung individually after snipping off larger fan / water leaves, we try to leave some of the smaller leaves to help protect the buds and their terpenes. Our environment we try to keep in the mid to low 60s, but never higher than 68 (I prefer 66 degrees farenheit) and the humidity we keep around 60 to 60% but no higher, and preferably never lower. This is to protect the terpenes and cannabinoids from evaporating due to heat or dry conditions. I changed to this method after some research and owe the idea on temps and humidity to Matt from Mr Canucks Grow on Youtube, it's a more recent video of his from within the past year and was very informative.

Purple afghan kush 1...she has taken her purpyra color ... there is very little left for her to be able to taste this variety ... she has a smell of tender wood ... sweet smell ... she did not grow enough but if she dedicated herself to fattening her head ... purple afghan kush 2 she had about 15 worms ... look for them one by one ... she did not grow well from the beginning ... I do not know what happened to her growth and flowering ... her buds are small ... let's hope she tastes good ...

Hey yall! Another week down. A lot has happened. To start, we up-potted from the red solos into my living soil blend that I have been working on for almost a year. It's so full on living creatures and beneficials. I used to have fungus gnats a lot when working with living soil, it's almost impossible to avoid. .. Then enters beneficials; we have black soldier Flys, persimillis predatory mites, definitely earth worms, most likely a mix of night crawlers. No more fungus gnats, I highly recommend using beneficial nematodes, cucumeris and persimillis predatory mites are excellent (swirski predatory mites are expensive). Just look at the Soil Food Web and identify what pest you have, then purchase their predators from a trusted insectary. Anyways I added another 200watt LED and spread out the plants in a 2' X 4' tent. It's extremely dry in my location and having the heat on makes the air even drier. So getting my VPD stable has been an immense challenge. Right now Also we need to be able to add VPD or at least GD needs a built in calculator to help folks with VPD, Vapor Pressure Deficite. As of right now I am sitting at 0.85 VPD, so pretty good for today. I have 4 humidifiers and have had to hang moistened towels on the doors of the room I am growing in. It literally has been a huge challenge to keep the humidity high enough for my VPD to be in range for the young plants I have now. Good thing is my current humidity without running any humidifiers is perfect for the flowering stage, so I can't wait to move this along. As for topping and training; like I said I really want to move these ladies into flowering sooner than later. I have several reasons to do limited training so I can limit my veg time, also getting this crop done as fast as possible is best for my set up. Until I can get a larger house 🏠 😩 because we got a baby on the way 👶 so need to make space. I have made compost tea twice this past week, wetting the soil and also spraying the leaves. My sprayer broke so I ended up pouring the tea on the plants gently, I got worm castings on the leaves lol. Gently rubbing that off once they dried. Also I applied the tea at night. My tea recipe: Reverse Osmosis water, 2 to 4 gallons I bubble that with added minerals for a day Add 2-3 cups of Activated worm castings (To activate the castings I added about 3 gallons of high quality castings with what I consider to be nutrient amendments, SO I add = kelp meal, neem cake, organic coconut flour, organic corn meal, organic wheat flour, and organic cold milled flax seeds and let that sit for a week then add about 2 to 3 cups of that mix to the tea) I also add biology from about a cup of 2 different soil mixes I have around my compost bin, just trying to get a more diverse biology by adding those two different soil sources. And mind you the grow beds I took the soil from has been organic for many years and has a large amount of beneficials and tons of excellent biology. Other than that I bubble that for 12 to 24 hours, with as much air as I can get. I use air stones but you really need to clean them off once you are done brewing. I also have an Air Lift with a large air pump that really works great, K.I.S. Organics sells one that works great or you can build one easily with with PVC pipe and a few adapters from any Home Depot or Lowes. Also I do add DynoMyco to my roots when up-potting. They are an amazing brand that has backed up research, I think they have more propagules per gram of two strains they identified to work great with cannabis. Now having said that, each individual phenotype out of each individual and specific strain/cultivar is going to have different bacteria/fungal strains that it prefers and by growing the same strain, hopefully the same exact cut, and grow 3 to 4 cycles before you truly have the mycelium networks built and fully functional. What I am saying is stop throwing out "used" soil and go over 7 gallons, bigger the better for biodiversity. Stop buying "new" soil, amend your previous beds and pots. You will see a huge difference. Hopefully I can show you all of this with my Grow. Anyways please feel free to ask away any questions! This grow is about saving money 💰 🤑 and growing the best clean medicine as possible.

Flower Day 7: All the sweet ladies are now showing their female flowers. Gorilla Girl #1 Is taking a really bushy appearance and has a liyltmof small flower tops appearing within the bush. She is young looking regarding her overall appearance but still only a dmfew days behind the much faster #2. #2 Is way ahead of rhebfield in terms of flowering progress. she is the main reason for the timing on a full week of flowering. She has so e very big fan leaves that are beginning to her in the way of emerging buds. Tucking them away is not an easy task now. No issues with feed or anything so far. I last watered the pots nearly a week ago and they are still woking their wet/dry cycle out. #3 in her smaller pot and her snapped limb , is motering along now with no signs of her previous trauma visible. The repair on the limb failed to take and I had to remove it again. #4 Is now rhe tallest and most vigorous looking after her slow start. Bending her over has helped to spread her out and given her lowers a good start at becoming mains too. She has a lot of good potential bud sites too and looks like she will fill her pot out nicely. Sweet Cheese is starting to enter the race too now. I do like the look of the " left alone natural shape she is putting out. I think i worry too much about height restriction and seeing how she grows will be a good test for that thought. Overall a good week with little to do besides leaf tucking and a little lst. Be safe and well Growmies.

Video is just a clip of me explaining how I use instant compost tea in a squirt bottle to saturate the soil slowly, as well as foliar. Photo is day 19. Had the carbon filter hooked up, but wasn't getting enough airflow through this one, so I took it down. Temps were 24-26C@70-75% RH and down to 21C@60-70% RH after removing the filter. Not much to show this early, but they're gorgeous already! Looking forward to this, Nirvana has always been a winner for me. Updates will happen live @ https://twitch.tv/jaindoh and be saved under my vod highlights. Aiming to make super introductory tutorials (as I am no Guru) and get constructive feedback on my techniques. Trying to convert smokers to growers!

Hi growers, The pistils are slowly turning brown, while the buds continue to swell and pack on size every day. This week I'll finally take out the microscope and start checking the trichomes to see how close she is to the perfect harvest window. She's still looking great, so now it's all about patience. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pestíky pomalu hnědnou a palice se každým dnem dál nalévají a zvětšují. Tenhle týden konečně vytáhnu mikroskop a začnu kontrolovat trichomy, abych zjistil, jak blízko je ideálnímu termínu sklizně. Rostlina stále vypadá skvěle, takže teď už je to hlavně o trpělivosti. Peace and happy growing! ✌️

the gorilla might already be good, but I'll leave it another week and then cut everything, also because I have a new setup started in a 50x50x140 cm tent with a spider farmer sf1000 and a mimosa x orange punch by barney's f. :DDD.

The mighty permanent marker decides the time to ripen is nigh. Finally shes starting to show shes nearly ready for harvest. The buds are looking prettier everyday the smell is dieselish dank and a bit pungent. Pretty much the terps im after. This is definitely the frostiest plant ive grown, especially when dried the buds almost look white. Insane. Really happy with this grow and cant wait to see what shes really all about. Ok just finnished a blunt of this a out an hour ago, and I do not smoke blunts lol But it seems only right too do a real smoked reveiw , So the fbt7 has been dry now for about 2 weeks and in a jar and today was the day too take the first bud too try so I rolled a fat one " fat one in photos lol , So for me the flavour just isn't there yet and am hoping that will come after a cure , So I smoked this all too my self and qiukly , Within a few minutes I went white as a ghost as was twitching the the corner hehehe, This is very strong bud and I would go as far as saying it's probably the strongest bud I've had in years , I am what I would describe as a joker smoker , as I turn my bud into oils and do not smoke it , But any serious cannabis smoker will absolutely love this strain , Well done fast buds and thank you :)

10/28 - First week in the books. I figured now would be as good a time as any to use a sprouted seed tea because the plants seem to be starting to fully stretch. Pistils are coming slowly but surely. Canopy isn't full but it's still the best I've ever done and I'll take that knowledge into future grows. Exciting weeks ahead. Crazy to think in two weeks it will look more like the finished product than the plants you see before you. I'll take them out for a photo shoot this weekend. The amount times I will be taking them out of the tent will be limited from here-on-out. These plants are getting cumbersome.
