Mother Fucker, Had all this typed out and it fucking closed the tab and would not load last edit. Lets try this again. This has been a big week, got a transplant in and ran into some issues with the feed. Transplanted the plants from their 1L to 2Gal/7.5L pots and gave them some LST to keep em low, all went well in transplant process as seen in the video however the Gaia Green burned my plants and this is odd considering I did not use it full strength as per their directions. They recommend amending medium for pots and baskets at a rate of 3tbsp or 45ml per Gal and I used it at a rate of 60ml in 2Gal, not even close to their 90ml recommendation. Seems weird why I would be experiencing this. I reached out to them and have not heard anything back. kinda disappointed about that. I have two batches of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and when I ran a test side by side on them I found the old one I am currently useing has a higher EC value then the new one I got. I dissolved 1/4 teaspoon into 250ml of water and gave it a good stir, I then let it sit for 5 min and measured its PH and EC, I also tested out the Insect Frass from them as well and it was similar numbers to the new 4-4-4 batch. I got readings of 0.98 for new 4-4-4 and 1.43EC for the old batch of 4-4-4. Seems off. I also tested all the other things I added into the soil and they did not spike EC to any significance. I'm hoping they reach back out to let me know whats up. PH was on point and nothing crazy all aorund 7.1 I also tested the PH and EC of the watering solution to confirm it was the 4-4-4, added in some yucca in their as well as other beneficials that I normally do in soil grows. all within range, PH down with Phspohric Acid and EC under 300 A+ In other good news I finalized the PPFD maps for my tent and lights, I use 2x 240w Mini Sun 2's from Medic Grow, They don't normally use the lights in a twin setup in 2x4 tent so thus they had no light maps for me. The grow shop I go to lent me their Quantum Par light meter and I went to town, I demoed this unit last week in a little video and then went onto say how I messed up the readings and needed to redo it all. Well I had to have the meter returned and was working all week so only had time to get one height measurement in at 30" with all the intensities of the light 40-60-80-100% I had a feeling I was over blasting them with light but the amount I was thinking was not even close to how much more I was giving them. I was running my plants before at 80% and maybe 20" hang height. I was nuking them. It shows my ideals are going to be 40% in veg and 60% in flower with altered lighting schedules to accommodate a proper DLI. As of right now I am giving my plants 42 DLI in veg at 18/6 and that's a bit much for me. I would like to see this number closer to 35. So if I edit my schedule down to 16/8 it will give me a DLI of 37, when I got into bloom if I go 11/13 I will also get a DLI of 37. If I kept it at 12/12 at 60% I would have a DLI of 41, and If i did it like last time 12/12 at 80% I would have a DLI of 55... 41 is not the worst but I think it might be to much. we will see based on how the plants are growing. I used a free heatmap web page tool to make the PPFD maps, its not perfect but it works out well for me. I did all the intensities on their own image and also did one main image with all the intensities that shows the strength of 100% vs 40-60-80% in colour. The one light on the right side does not seem to be as strong as the one on the left, Or it could be some weird things with my tent, When I looked at the numbers with the door open they did not fluctuate as much. so who knows, I tested them with the door closed and extractor fan on as that's what the plants will be getting when in the tent, I centred the light as best I could and levelled it out with a bubble leveller. It was funny seeing how the PPF readout numbers changed as the tent sucked in around the sides, It is a good thing I have the mid support bar to prevent it from doing that to much. Once I mapped out all my readings in PPF I then calculated its average and PPFD using the grow space dimensions of 2x4, applied the convention and got my average PPFD :) The pepper are also doing well. I don't think I noticed a difference between soaking the seeds with some peroxide 1% vs plan water. Won't do that again does not seem to help anything. All but one variety as popped, the naga morich, has not been germinated, I was reading online that dehydrated seeds can have as low as 5% germination rate, With this in mind I took a lot of seeds from my older naga morich peppers in the pantry and placed them in a damp paper towel. I have a feeling given their age and treatment previously they will not pop, but that's ok if they don't, I have a large assortment of pepper for this season and they are already well on their way to giving me a good crop. Have not noticed any other fungus gnats in a bit. Happy about that, don't know where they went, unless it was just a few and they died before breeding. After another weekend spent away from home, on day 26 both Opiums present at 30 cm height, having grown big and bushy. Their thirst increased, I will water them when their next day starts. And do some more LST. Not too long until I can install the scrogging net. I am really impressed by their progress. They developed a lot of branching side branches and look really healthy and bushy. In contrast to what I wrote before, I think I can stay a few days longer with the current 80% 18/6 lighting scheme. Leaf positions do not show signs of light hunger, so no reason to change. Watered them with 1.5 l each on their 27th morning, this time adding some flower fertilisers too. Compensated their relief with some more LST. I can see in timelapse video they are tmelselves compensating this stress easily; it’s amazing to see how fast they turn their heads. You’ll see soon too. For reference: Pot diameter is approx. 25 cm. So lady #1 spreads about this much, lady #2 is even about 10 cm more. Guess they’ll make a very dense scrog surface, but first let’s have them have their stretch. Day 28 evening revealed ladies are getting thirstier. The holey pots might be helpful in root development, but they are not when it comes to keeping the tent clean. Because of their structure, water runs out in respectable quantities each time they are fed, which takes a long time to evaporate and adds to air humidity of course. Which on the other hand is currently quite ok. Outside air temperatures are around 30 °C the last days, so a bit more humidity helps to keep the VPD in range. Which is quite ok as I still cannot complain about their growth – around 2–3 cm each day currently. Grow video for day 28 (sorry about the interferences! Due to the control hard- & software being offline I cannot silence the blower(s) when a photo is taken anymore) shows steady growth and very vivid movements again. Dropping of their leaves around their evening is possibly due to me watering them again as soil was surprisingly dry already. On their day 29 evening, it’s clear to see how much they are stretching: They really gained 5 cm since yesterday! Lights are close to 30 cm, so I think I’ll reposition things a bit when their next week starts. Attached video shows the day’s progress. They say you cannot scrog an Automatic but seeing the development speed and bushiness I decided to give it a try nonetheless. I guess the buds can profit from being a bit more apart from each other if I handle to fiddle them through the holes in time. I rearranged the lights to be at about 45 cm apart from the tops and set the lights to 100% at a 16/8 lighting scheme, waking them up one hour later than before and sending them to sleep one hour earlier. Last day of this week, day 30, shows that growth speed has even increased. Lady 1 crosses the scrog net already which is positioned at 46 cm above soil. Gave them slightly enhanced water again, 2 l each.

Plants are nearing the finish line. Might not all be quite ready in the next week, but I likely will have to chop them all. I removed some leaves from the center plant (A) and the overfed dark green leaves become obvious.

Number one in looks awesome I mean it's got flowers everywhere kind of smells like a sweet rotten apple almost kind of funky crazy butt structure though crazy bus structure number two and it looks like I'm coming across a nitrogen deficiency on it and try to fix it and root of tea for him this week so should be good too totally different see no type both California snow Fastbuds

Another great week for the girls, I have not seen a single deficiency, other than the odd yellowed leave under the canopy, typically due to lack of light. I will come through soon and do a defoliation of both tents to allow for more light to penetrate, and perhaps get a good push for some girthy colas 😋. I have lowered the temps a bit in the tents by controlling my lung room temps, and they are maxing out at 77 degrees and hitting a night time cool of about 70. I have also lowered the humidity to hover between 47 and 52 %. Hopefully will start to get some nice colours as they finish. As I mentioned before, when I water is when I like to get under the canopy and check the stems and leaves for anything that shouldn’t be… and typically once a week after watering I’ll wipe down the tent and sanitize any surface I can. There is no reason to get lazy, that’s how you get Pests, Mold, and PM. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

Things still going great. I had a bit of light burn(upturned leaf edges) so I backed off an inch or two. Other than that no major changes.

I'm back for another update this week! It hasn't been a very busy week this week, the veg area is vegging and the flower area is on its last week before harvest. I've been taking very small cuttings (about .1 gram) and scoping the trikes using a 45x desktop microscope. Ethos: Lilac Diesel #22 (x) Grandpa's Cookies #7- This seedling is still doing well and branching out keeping a "v" shaped branch formation, thinner long leaves and decently far spaced nodes. It is still the tallest plant in the whole garden now standing at 19 inches tall. It's top four branches are beginning to develop smaller branches from them. HSO/ Giest Grow: Tow Truck- Unfortunately the Tow Truck showed signs of being a male. Last week I had assumed it was a male. But this week I was able to call it for certain. I don't have the space to keep any males, so I went ahead and cut it down. This diary will now be for the Ethos Seedling! It is feminized so it will surely go to the flower room with the Raspberry Ripple plants it shares a tent with. Raspberry Ripple Clones (#1 and #2)- These veg clones are still spreading out with branching decently. The #2 Phenos hit 12 inches in height and received their topping. So now all plants in the clone tent have been topped once. Flower Tent (Raspberry Ripple #1 and #2)- It is currently day 67 Flower, Under the HLG Blackbird. I went ahead and dimmed it down one level. I let my buddy use my PAR meter for a few days. But I'd assume it's probably about 450-700 PPFD on most top sites. I've assessed the trichomes today and last week. Most are getting cloudy but I'm gonna wait just a few more days, to push into some amber coverage. A lot of the #2 pheno top sites are now leaning over and being fully supported by the trellis. The little branches just couldn't support the massive flowers it grew. One of the #2 plants is still holding strong and standing tall. But 2/3 are pretty much fully supported by the trellis. The number one phenos are once again super thick stalked, with thick branches. One of the #1 plants, looks like it completely bottomed out this week. Most of its leaves are completely faded. The other plant of the #1 Phenos is much more bright and vibrant. There are still some straggling white pistil hairs left on the #1s but they are still changing color by the day.
