Photos this week stay inside the tent, it’s just not safe to move these ladies anymore. ⸻ Irrigation Upgrade – Semi-Auto in Motion With the room expanding and multiple genetics running, it’s time to make watering smarter: • Semi-Automatic Irrigation Installed – currently set up to water 8 plants. • Not Fully Automated Yet – still manually monitoring and hand-watering other genetics in the room. • The goal is precision without full delegation — a hybrid system offering consistency + control. This is how smart growers scale: one foot in tech, one foot in the soil. 🌱 ⸻ Red Spectrum Timing – Emerson Effect in Action Let’s dive into light science, because this week, you’ve implemented something most growers don’t even think about: ☀️ What is the Emerson Effect? Discovered by Robert Emerson in the 1950s, the Emerson Effect is the phenomenon where plants photosynthesize more efficiently when exposed to both red (660nm) and far-red (730nm) light simultaneously. Even better? Far-red at the start and end of the day manipulates the plant’s internal clock, promoting faster flowering and shorter day-length response. 🔴 Your Implementation: • 15 minutes of red/far-red spectrum • Before lights-on (simulating dawn) • After lights-off (simulating dusk) This technique: • Promotes faster flowering initiation • Enhances flower site expression • Helps with sleep/wake cycle regulation Well played — this is next-level light manipulation. 🌕 ⸻ AC Implementation – Heat Down, VPD Back in Range The much-needed air conditioner has arrived, and it’s already proving itself: • Old Temps: ~31°C • New Temps: 28.8°C • Humidity: 66.6% • VPD: 1.33 kPa (much more ideal for flower initiation) While it’s still a warm tent, the VPD is now in the sweet spot, allowing for strong transpiration, nutrient uptake, and healthy gas exchange. The girls are clearly responding beautifully. ⸻ Nutrient Addition – Plagron Sugar Royal This week we’ve added Plagron Sugar Royal at 1ml/L to our Aptus regimen. What is Sugar Royal? Despite the name, it contains no actual sugar. Instead, it includes: • Amino acids – which help the plant produce more chlorophyll and essential oils • Biostimulants – supporting stress resistance, enzyme activity, and resin production Why now? Last week of vegetative stage. I will be flipping next week and start the flowering stage. I'm looking at 9 mains colas and 4 smaller ones. From now on, I'll do occasional defoliation as she is obviously an indica dominant strain (despite breeder saying it's a 50/50) I was scared of her stretching too much and outgrowing my 6' height tent. This was a mistake and if I would do things differently, I would let her vege another 2 or even 3 weeks. She grew rather small in height

Woche 5 – Die Form nimmt Gestalt an 🍑🌿 Nach einer aufregenden Woche und meinem Besuch auf der Mary Jane in Berlin geht es nun wieder zurück in den Garten. Die Apricot Automatic entwickelt sich weiterhin hervorragend und zeigt genau die Eigenschaften, die ich mir von einer starken Outdoor-Autoflower wünsche. Das Low Stress Training zahlt sich mittlerweile deutlich aus. Die Seitentriebe wachsen kräftig nach oben und verwandeln die ursprünglich schlanke Pflanze langsam in eine breite, gleichmäßige Struktur. Das Kronendach wird von Tag zu Tag voller und die zukünftigen Budsites verteilen sich optimal über die gesamte Pflanze. Besonders erfreulich ist die schnelle Erholung nach dem Training. Es gibt keinerlei Anzeichen von Stress und die Damen wachsen munter weiter. Die Blattfarbe ist gesund, das neue Wachstum wirkt kräftig und die Internodienabstände bleiben angenehm kompakt. Mit jedem Tag wird deutlicher, welches Potenzial in diesen Apricot Autos steckt. Jetzt beginnt die spannende Phase, in der sich entscheidet, wie groß die Pflanzen vor dem Einsetzen der Vorblüte noch werden. Wenn sie dieses Tempo beibehalten, dürfen wir uns auf einige sehr interessante Outdoor-Ladys freuen. The Apricot Automatic continues to impress and is showing exactly the characteristics I hope for in a strong outdoor autoflower. The Low Stress Training is now paying off. Side branches are growing vigorously and transforming the plants from a simple main stem into a wide and balanced structure. The canopy is becoming fuller every day, allowing future bud sites to receive excellent light exposure. What makes me especially happy is how quickly the plants recovered from the training. There are absolutely no signs of stress, and the ladies keep pushing forward with healthy growth. Leaf color remains vibrant, new growth is strong, and internodal spacing stays nicely compact. With every passing day, the potential of these Apricot Autos becomes more obvious. Now we are entering the exciting stage where the plants will determine how much more growth they can achieve before fully transitioning into flowering. Week 7 done and these are doing amazing, the one on the left buds are really stacking up and getting really frosty and she’s really starting to stank lol but she also smells sweet/citrusy, the one on the right has stopped it stretch and budsites are starting to stack up, been watching them closely, was feeding them the same but switched it up cause I felt the one on the right needed more nutes then the one on left due to it being in reused soil, all in all they are doing well and I will continue to watch them closely are they continue to grow

Probably 2-3 weeks left, giving them nutrients almost every watering. They started to smell really nice, very frutiy. Hopefully this lasts after curing (:

It’s another week of drooling here damn these are some juicy looking veggies, already dreaming of smoking them!🤤🤤 I feel it’s starting to get to the end of the line for 2 of my OG’s, will feed m 2 more times before I start the flush. Plan to have m around for at least 2 more weeks hope that’s enough to clean m out. Got another OG with a crazy amount of leaf growth. Don’t know what to think of it but it has a great color and will def need a lot more time to develop buds, same package of seeds, same strain, same veg treatment complete different plant 🤨 1 gorilla (top middle) had the filter dropped on him and lost the main cola, the rest of the buds seem okay but the little twigs on this plant are way to skinny to keep m up right. The gorilla in the top right corner got too close to the sun, I really thought it was a herma or something but I guess it’s just deformed during a week of extreme temperatures. If ya think I should just chop it off leave me a comment 👍🏼 Sooo really dont know if anybody is still reading but I’m gonna split this diary up in 2, I love this site and it would be better to document per strain for my own archive. And the contests only admit 1 strain per diary hehe 😏

British Delight - Wizard Trees Day 84 - Watered with 3L of RO tap water with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3! Week 7 of bloom and shes doing pretty good, but she is very very bushy around her bud sites, I might need to do a big defolation session on her this week, but for now I've just removed the larger fan leaves to allow more light and airflow 👌 I've increased the nutrients in her feed to give her a boost in these final few weeks! She looks and smells fantastic, but I'm a little worried about how much flower I'll get from her... She's covered from head to toe in trichomes, but its mostly sugar leaves from what I can see... a little disapointing, but it is what it is... I was going to start prepping her for harvest next week, but I might just let her go for another week, just to be sure she gets the most out of it 🙏

Alright I've updated this postmortem and cure just to give an idea of what I was up to during the dry and cure weeks. This grow was a ton of work and I'm very please with the results. I learned a ton about soil and environment control and really feel like I'm gaining confidence and coming into my own as a cultivator. I've been playing a lot with ice water hash and rosin and have set some neat goals for the future like hunting ice water hash cultivars, going perpetual and expanding the amount of canopy I can work with by building a network of remote-operated satellite flower tents in friends' and family's abodes . This pheno was certainly on roids. The strain being from an autoflower just outpaced every other plant by at least 2 weeks. It produced a whopping 8 ounces. The colors gave an alien reddish purple glow as if it were from mars. The aroma was that of blueberry cacao, a totally unique chocolatey profile.

01/19 - Tied her down completely (HST) - full light coverage - running in 2x2 until clones in 3x3 are complete then transplanting into 3x3 - offsetting clean water and nute feeds. 01/24 - She got a little funky on me a couple days ago after the tent and light transfer, She is in recovery mode right now - She should be back to norm by Mon - Tuesday.

🔥 General Development Bubblegum has been pushing strong this week. Buds are noticeably swelling and the trichome production finally started to increase on all tops. The smell became way more defined, a sweet bubblegum/candy aroma every time I open the tent. Pistils still mostly white but starting to curl in some spots. 🌿 What I Did This Week • Light adjustment: maintained good distance, stable PPFD with no signs of bleaching. • Enzyme tea (light mix) to stimulate microbial activity and keep the root zone clean. • Moisture balance kept stable with 5–6 L per watering. 💚 Health Status Very healthy overall. No nutrient burn, no excess, no deficiency. Leaves slightly lighter due to high flower metabolism but still within normal living soil behaviour. Bud formation is symmetrical and stacking nicely. 📈 This Week’s Progress • More resin than last week. • Buds noticeably thicker. • Aroma intensity x2 compared to last update. ✨ Closing Note Bubblegum is officially entering the “bulking phase.” Nothing explosive yet, but solid and steady, exactly what this strain is known for.
