Another good week generally speaking. The girls are drinking a lot but nothing crazy. Things are wrapping up here in this tent shortly. This girl is hanging in there. I know she needed nutrients but didn't get much. I hope she does well as she finishes up. Not much longer! Semana 8: La Grease Monkey está en modo bestia esta semana. Los cogollos han seguido engordando con fuerza y cada vez se ven más densos y cubiertos de resina. Las flores principales ya empiezan a tener ese aspecto compacto y brillante que promete potencia, mientras que las hojas cercanas están totalmente salpicadas de tricomas, como si las hubieran rociado con azúcar glas. La alimentación sigue basada en XpertNutrients, sin cambios drásticos. Solo he ajustado mínimamente las proporciones para no frenar el ritmo que lleva. El riego sigue afinado al detalle: lo justo para mantener activa la microbiota del sustrato y evitar saturaciones. Los Adlite continúan haciendo un trabajo brutal. La penetración lumínica está ayudando a que incluso los cogollos de las zonas medias e inferiores mantengan una buena densidad. Todo el dosel está funcionando como una unidad, lo que se traduce en una floración muy equilibrada. Las condiciones ambientales siguen bajo control: 22-25 °C de temperatura, y humedad en torno al 55%. Estoy reforzando la ventilación para prevenir cualquier susto ahora que los cogollos empiezan a cerrarse más. El aroma se está volviendo todavía más intenso: una mezcla cremosa, dulce y con ese fondo diésel que le da el toque agresivo típico de esta genética. Los tricomas siguen lechosos en su mayoría, con alguna señal de maduración incipiente, pero aún no es momento de pensar en tijeras. Week 2: Light Struggles, First Adjustments & the Patience Test Update: 14.03.25 Good morning, grow fam! Week 2 of my photoperiod journey is running – a mix of challenges and small wins. Here’s a look at the early days of my Blueberry and Durban Poison seedlings. Current Observations: Light Deficiency & Stretching Stems The first days post-germination were intense: The seedlings developed extremely long, thin stems (check the photos!), a clear sign of insufficient light. Since I’m intentionally avoiding extra lighting to save resources, I had to improvise: - Tray Rotation: I rotate the seedling tray multiple times a day to ensure even exposure to the weak March sunlight. - DIY Support: For the most stretched seedlings, a bent wire acts as a crutch to prevent them from collapsing. Interestingly, the tomato and cucumber plants in the same tray show no issues – their stems stay compact. Seems like veggies are better adapted to low-light conditions than cannabis! Nutrients & Alfa Boost: An Experiment Even though my Biobizz Lightmix should provide enough nutrients for the first weeks, I tested a sample of Alfa Boost (freebie from the grow shop) during watering. The product claims to boost roots and stress resistance – perfect for my light-stressed babies. So far, no negative reactions, but no explosive growth either. Slow Growth – No Cause for Concern The plants are growing just millimeters per day, but that’s okay. My focus is on building sturdy, resilient plants, not speed. Once days get longer and sunnier, growth should pick up. They’ll stay indoors until mid-May anyway – plenty of time to bulk up. Next Steps & Tweaks - Transplanting in 1–2 Weeks: Once the first true leaf pairs emerge, they’ll move to small pots with my Biobizz All-Mix blend. - First Topping Soon: Once the plants hit 4–5 nodes, I’ll top them to encourage bushier growth. Week 2 Takeaway: Patience is key! Even in suboptimal conditions, I trust Dutch Passion’s resilient genetics. Fingers crossed for greener progress next week. It's a lot of stretching going on in here...

I didn't use the Bio-Grow and Bio-Bloom the whole week because of slight nutrient burn in the tips of the leaves on the upper part of the plant. I asked on a forum (grower.ch) what it might be, and they said it probably is too much potassium. I really do hope it will get better with time, but right now it has gotten a little bit worse, although it still is a minor inconvenience. I really thought that it is very hard to feed too many nutrients with biological fertilizer, but I had not thought about the soil. It seems that the prefertilized soil must be the problem here. Next week, I'll use just the Bio-Bloom at 50% of the recommendation and won't use Bio-Grow anymore. I do hope that it won't get worse. She is in bloom and needs nutrients. There seems to be a little lack of them since one leaf on the bottom is turning slightly yellow, so she is redistributing nutrients. I need to look for new soil, and also I'm going to change my approach to fertilizing in the upcoming grow. Other than that, she is now too tall with her 118 cm to keep her on my window, so she hasn't and won't see the real sun again. She got a lot more buds this week, and I really enjoy looking at her beautiful flowers. She has a very nice and sweet smell too. I am really thinking about setting up the grow tent in my apartment and not in my basement, just to take a look at how the plants are doing. I love plants, always have, but cannabis is just the most fascinating one.

Lollipopped in the middle of the third week. Added 500ml water plus 10ml Bio PK 5/8 and 2.5ml/l Orgatrex ONCE per plant. Watering every two days around 2l water. Sometimes more, sometimes less and sometimes also the next day again a bit- just how it seems to me. Two small fans blow air backwards below the leaf line and slightly upwards. Above the lamp, also at the front, there is a swivel fan in the corner which blows air downwards. The Fat Freddy's Cat are all between 88-97cm tall. The Mimosa X Orange Punch are between 83-90cm high The London Pound Cake X Zoap is 33cm tall (but also 1.5 weeks younger and shorter in flower) It has become much colder outside, at night a small additional heater has to run in the room (outside the tent). One plant at the back got a too big stretch. I hope it's over, because the Tent is only 2m high and It don't have any more space to lift the LED. Also I wanted to set the light at 100%, from the 4.flowering week but the plant already shows light stress, I will consider, what I will do against it.

So as you can see, we have upgraded into a 5 gallon wide fabric pot and I'm going to give her another couple weeks to fill into her new home... i broke a couple of branches, definitely gave her silica to early on.. I'm not used to keeping plants in veg for this long... i do think when all said and done, she's gonna be a beast, so it'll be worth it... Thanks again @Grow4releaf!! 1/17 - 1/24: An excellent week for all the plants. Solid, steady fattening and frosting over. The Zenzations smell amazing.

Moving right along! Got a second tent for smaller plants. So I can start the flowering cycle with the gorillas. Looking forward to see what happens in the coming months! 😃💚

Day 33 from Seed: In general these ladies have just got on with it this week while I worried about some of the other girls. Their training has been a breeze so far and they have been made more pliable by the silica. I have now stopped using the Mega crop in the Los soil now the pot is making it's own nutes but I will keep my eye on them for any paling and need to re feed with the Mc. The coco girls are on 1g/L to see how they settle into that now. #1is doing brilliantly and her size indicates she will be a great yielder. She is quick to turn her heads back up once pinned so I will need a fast hand to keep up. #2 The runt of the whole pack. I dont know why she is so small besides some evidence of def on her initial growing leaves. Her new growth looks a lot better but I think she will need less strength feed than the others. Her structure looks good but she is very small I general compared. #3 was my expected star of the grow room but is now not in the front row anymore. She is perfect and growing great. training has been easy with her and her sites are plentiful too. I think she will be the biggest of the Smoothies. I am very happy with their progress so far . great work Fast buds.

Sugarlato really starting to come on well now.. small compact plant only around 50cm in height so far in 15 litre pot. Looking like its flowers will be nice. All round the best out of the 3 strains in the tent. Smell is moderate right now but filter is on inside the grow tent. Updates will be coming again in a few days DRSHOTZUK
