JamrockGrows Hey guys, newbie grower here! 8/06 - I put them in a glass of water to let them soak up some water for 24 hours and then I planted them in paper starter cups. 9/06 - Taproots were around 1 cm when I put the seeds in the substrate. 10/06 - one of the seeds already sprouted after just 24 hours in the soil. This is the quickest I’ve ever seen a seed sprout. Now hopefully the next one. 12/06 - Transplanted the seedling slightly earlier than my other grow to allow for more root growth. I want to try this method to see if I will adopt this for the future. Have a good day everyone! Peace

Hi everyone! Just a question about the BioBizz light mix: How long should I wait before feeding the plant? I plan on using bio-grow by biobizz. And how long will water with the mixed nutes stay healthy for the plant? Thanks

Ec can range from 0.3 to 1.8 before problems will occur, the light mix is around 1.2 giving it the flexibility of being able to add a little extra salts if you wanted in first couple weeks but it's generally not recommended, don't want the ec too high as it's generally recommended to begin a seedling on 0.3 ec but absolutely not necessary although running a seedling at 1.8 would cause unwanted water stress early in life. Once she has her structure and hits vegetative stage, start feeding normally. Best advice to new growers would be to grab yourself a ec metre for soil and keep tabs after each watering, once ec gets low, reapply, always saturating your pot to 5-10% run off. Water water water till ec tells you too, if it gets a little high, flush and reset. Gluck

Is mixing soil with root juice and water prior to transplanting a seedling beneficial? I’m worried that if I’ll add additional water on top it would become too much water. Thanks

Yes it is!! But take in count a few things, first, just add a bit of water to have the soil moisted but not soaked. And then, if you are going to water the plant immediately you don't really need to mix the soil with water. Just transplant and add water with the root juice =)
