🌱 Runtz - Week 1 Update 🌱 The journey has officially begun, and I’m thrilled to report that everything is off to a smooth start! The seeds germinated quickly and showed no issues breaking through the soil. Healthy and vigorous growth is already visible, which is always an encouraging sign. The seedlings are now standing strong, with their first leaves fully open and soaking up the light. It’s exciting to see this strain already showing its potential! Looking forward to seeing how they progress over the next week. Wishing all the growers in this competition continued success with their own grows! Let’s keep pushing 🙌

Week 9 Hi everyone 😁 I am very pleased how girls are developing in recent days. Aroma is very fruity and a bit gasy. Sort of riped mango / pineapple. They are so frosty alraady and buds are developing very well. Was little bit worried that last week defoliation may stunt girls too much but really this strain showing no signs of any stress. The way things are looking these girls may be ready for harvest in about 2 weeks😁 Will keep updating progress of this week every couple days. Have a great week everyone 🍀✌️ 18/09 Day 57 Started watering with approx. of 2.5 ltr of solution until runoff per pot and this should last for 2 days. Girls like this magic mixture very much 😁 21/09 Day 60 Cant belive it's only 2 months since planting seeds. Everything is going well. Thankfully no issues at all. Slow develop girl "Nuna" it's way behind the other 2 girls soon to be ladies "Luna" and "Sweet Mary Jane". but I'm glad that I have kept her as her flowers are small but frosty and she will be perfect for some cannabutter or bubble hash. Other 2 girls as all see they are absolutely gorgeous. Buds are gaining weight and that frost OMG love it. Will get some close up pics of trichomes over the weekend. 23/09 Day 62 Still lots of white pistils and currently trichomes level at 2-5% amber and rest are clear and milky. My personal preference for harvest 60-80% amber so will keep feeding with nutrients for few more days and will keep monitoring trichomes before switching to only water. 24/09 Day 63 End of week 9 Not much work this week. All been going great. Buds are now very sticky and they are smelling very fruity sort of lemony, zesty, apples and mangos. Thank you all for all the support, comments and likes. We're almost there. There're some amber trichomes, just a few. I'm gonna wait a few more days to harvest it. It smells nice! :) And there's sign of nuts deficiency, and some light purple tones.

Technically this is veg week 2, currently still going. Had some cal mag issue so I started to put nutes flush with pH 6 then fooliage spray with cal mag 1 ml per 300 ml. Also nutes at 550 general hydroponics trio. So ending of this week 2 veg about 21 days since I planted the seeds, had issues with nute burn I gave double ppm by mistake thinking it would help the cal mag issue but ended up burning some baby leafs, so far looks like it grew out of it but I'm guessing yield will be effected greatly. Lesson learned

New week, new growth. So we have done another defoliation to allow the lower shoots to be exposed to the lights which equal to a better yield come flower time, they always need a day or 2 recover after being put under any stress, especially if its an extreme amount of leaves being taken off. They were also lollipoped to clear up and messy under growth and to improve airflow under the canopy. I also took clones from each of these. Paying close attention to the EC and pH. Increasing and decreasing as and when I need to going off what the plants show me. Close to flower now. A few days to go! Well it’s about that time again to make my mouth water and my eyes glisten with these sexy ladies! Day 72 from seed and she’s damn gorgeous with that Fade! Chop chop baby ✂️

Wow what a week this has been, the plants have all undergone fair dramatic changes. A real flurry of leaf yellowing, pistil darkening/curling, and bug swelling. The smell is really coming along now, I think we're really quite close to harvest. On the assumption that pre-flowering was two weeks, this strain should be ready at the end of week seven flowering, so in the case of this diary the end of week nine (i.e. one week to go!). Pistils are about 70-80% amber, and the lower pistils on buds have started curling inward. Trichomes look to me to be something like 10% clear 80% Milky 10% White. I have smoke tested a small bud off the lower part of plant 3 today after quick-drying overnight in the airing cupboard, taking into consideration the obvious chlorophyll from the fast dry, the high was much closer to what I am expecting than the last smoke test. It came on at the normal pace, was quite effective, and lasted a good while. I am really hoping I can navigate my way through the next process, as I feel quite close now to having some home grown bud for the first time. The plants are being well watered this evening with just water, and this will be the last time that I water them until harvest. I will continue to monitor these daily, I intend to harvest at the first sign of any amber trichome. Advice and comments welcomed. P.S. Exciting news! D29 Did top dressing with bone and kelp meal as well as worm castings. D31 Performed a little more LST, a few more days and I will let her do her thing. D32 More LST exposed lower nodes and evened out the canopy. D33 Removed all bonsai wire and rolled down the rim of the pot to even it out with to soil, more airflow. D35 Not much growth but overall looking pretty good. Heatwave last couple days keep temperatures higher than desired.

She still stretching and making new bud sites. Almost as high as the other auto that were started a week weeks sooner. Lots of rain this week only fed with compost tea once after topping off with the spent tea grinds. Added some kelp and cal mag to make the tea 700ppm.

Absolutely LOVE this strain. She has only been curing for a little over a week but I had to try her. She is one of the 3 most potent strains I have ever consumed, tastes like grapes on the inhale, and then on the exhale it tastes like a classic chemdawg, piney and gassey. You will feel the effects by the time you finish exhaling. I lover her so much I am going to run her back after I take a little break to travel. The only thing I regret with this grow is that I used much too small of a final container. No fault of the genetics, it was all me. I will run her back in a 12.5 gallon container and see what happens. My goal is to run 2 photoperieods every year, and get a Kilogram off each plant. Might be somewhat ambitious but I enjoy challenging myself and improving. I cannot wait to squeeze this lady, but I want to give her a few more weeks in the jars first. I will post some videos down the line. If anyone wants a quick pound or two of some potent ass indica leaning flower, this is your girl. I honestly don't know how I could even bring myself to grow another autoflower after smoking this lady.....She blows every auto I ever grew out of the water.

Wet paper towel method, in ziplock bag. Waited for 1.5cm root before transplant to its final container (its an autoflower). I will update with pictures of the seedling rising from the soil in a couple of days.... ----+update 2days later something is popping slowly out of the soil ;)

Microscopic week indeed since my microscope arrived. Dunno why I ordered something from the local store but that was definetly the last time. The thing came with a install cd. And that would not be so bad besides the fact that I had to manually configure the files to work on win10. O yeah it does not run on my mac since it doesnt have a cd reader. Old pc is pretty old so it just freezees from time to time and I have to restart it about 2-3 times for every photo session 🤪 Anyway the thing does the job. Photos came out pretty decent. Also cut on half the watering amount. And still havent PHed it. So far it works and plants seem to enjoy it. Now every 2 days is a photoshoot to not miss the perfect spot. With the first time its pretty hard though.
