Added 2 videos on preparing a nutrient solution and pH balancing the solution. This week saw aggressive topping (mid week 4) and some serious leaf damage. Not sure if the leaf damage is from the topping, nutrients, etc. I did a flush and solution swap, cleaned the air stone and inside of the jar etc. Built the trellis and started training. I'll cut away whatever trellis doesn't end up getting used once flowering starts. Creepy Don Santa is watching this grow closely. That cat of his is trouble.

Here we are at Day 2 of Week 6 of flowering. Temps and humidity are practically unchanged from last week. I’ve made peace with the fact that I won’t get intense aromas due to the high nighttime temperatures, and I’ll definitely lose some yield and potency. But I don’t care—I knew what I was getting into and the risks involved. Last watering, I reduced the dose of Bioflores and Bioboost, cut out Bud Factor X and Bloombastic, and introduced Rokzbastic at low doses (trying not to repeat the Bloombastic mistake—I’ll keep doses low and alternate applications). The three waterings before this were plain water with Cannazym and a minimal dose of Bioflores, slightly heavier, to flush the medium a bit (given the burnt tips). The plants aren’t stretching anymore (maybe except one Californian Gold). I adjusted the ties to maximize light penetration. The buds aren’t huge or super dense, but they’re well-coated in resin—good enough for my expectations. Hoping to see them bulk up over the next 2 weeks. The Californian Golds give off the strongest scent—super sweet—followed by the Sensi Stars. The "dwarf" Mendocino Skunk has the most foliage and the least smell, but it’s looking nice and chunky. Fingers crossed it delivers too. The biggest plant is a Californian Gold: wide, tall, and packed with flowers. Really beautiful. By the end of Week 7, I’ll check trichomes closely to monitor ripeness. In theory, the Sensi Stars should finish sooner, but given their "irregular" development, I’ve read they might need an extra week. The largest Californian Gold is also the least mature and will probably be the last one chopped (unless it pulls off an unexpected sprint these next two weeks). Catch you later, folks. Stay tuned. Flowering is now obvious. We are in first week of july, so hopefully I will get very nice buds in september already!😛I really like this express plant!

This was a really fun week i started prototyping an irrigation system, i might try and 3d print some new nozzles.

The tree is very fruity has a extremely sweet fragrance mixed with pineapples like a pineapple dum dum but when you brush against the tree or rub a bud.. it is reminiscent of old school Bubblicious bubble gum the pink kind they sold back in the 80s.

beginning of this was was day 50 from seed. Buds are starting to swell and fill out some. I might guessing I got about 3 weeks left. Dinafem lists them at 70 to 80 days but these plants are all on the short side. My canuk seeds cheese is going to take a bit longer. Also, I took some dead leaves and a few leaves blocking light and doesn’t appear to have affected them all.

I was pretty busy these periods, whith the holidays and work I barely had time to be online. The plants had made good progress, they are in late flower. I hade a PH problem so the plants suffered a bit but nothing serious. They have great buds and great smell. I'm so excited to finish this and test the end result.

Plant is growing well. Transplanted them from a 1 gallon pot into a 3 gallon pot this week.

Hi Growmies, I feel I had a root issue, may have even been root rod. So as I saw a few of the very deeply submerged roots turning brownish and decay, I decided to generously cut away the affected areas and cleaned everything with hydrogen peroxide as good as I could and then properly rinsed the whole system. It seems, however, like she has started a whole new set of roots that started to submerge after I started feeding the orca from plant success (can be seen in the video below). Can highly recommend this product! She has also not show any signs of stress due the suspected root issues. Other than that she is a super pretty indica lady :) almost crazy how symmetrical she is. I have trained all main colas horizontally until the canopy had evenly opened up. Now I will let her grow towards the scrog and depending on her stretch, I will flip her at some point towards the middle or end of next week. The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds.
