Flower Week 8 is over, and this seemed like it was going to be a pretty quiet week... until this morning. Unfortunately, I noticed what looked like potential bud rot on a few of the colas. I’m not 100% sure that’s what it was, but at this stage of the grow, I’m not willing to take any chances. I removed all the affected colas immediately. Visually, it definitely messed up my beautiful 8-tower structure a little, which is painful to see after spending the entire grow building and maintaining it. 😅 But in the end, we’re at the finish line, and protecting the rest of the flowers is far more important than keeping her looking pretty. If it really was bud rot, I can only hope that it hasn’t spread any further. For now, I’m keeping a very close eye on everything. Looking at the trichome development, she still seems like she could use another week or so. However, with several rainy days coming up, I’m seriously reconsidering my original plan of completing the full 9 weeks of flowering. At this point, pushing her through bad weather simply feels like an unnecessary risk. Unless the Berlin weather changes, I’ll probably have to harvest her slightly earlier than originally planned. Other than that, I’m just excited to see how this whole experiment turns out. We’ve made it this far, and regardless of the final result, I’ve already learned something important for the next run. Next summer, I’ll induce flowering around 15 days earlier. The second half of August simply seems to put the final stage of flowering too deep into the danger zone when it comes to rain and humidity. Eight weeks down. Now it’s just a matter of deciding exactly when to call it. 🌸✂️

Well, my humidifier started leaking in the last days, unfortunately i was not even at home so when I came there was a biig big POND in the growbox... I thought that everything was cool and stuff but then I spotted the mold on the central bud... Well I gave it a flush for 1 or 2 days, actually wanted to wait before trichomes become amber but yeah mold scared me af.. chopped it quite fast

Day 96, 15th of December 2020: Wao and wao... this is what I can say. A bit late I was on holiday I usually start the week with the first day but now with the last one. So let's start with the "black sheep" of this group as she is alone here RQS Wedding Gelato. Easy growing issue free little bushy lady. Absolutely great choice of grow. Pretty much ready for Christmas but she can be cut even now lol.... And now let's speak about the Original Sensible Seeds' girls... Well Black Ghost OG similarly to RQS Wedding Gelato is calm little bushy and issue free lady.... no problem all good ready for Christmas.... Runtz Gum the thick chick with heavy big buds and excellent appearance is really amazing. I placed a stick there and fixed her to look better... It was not necessarily but i have done it. She needs more time pretty much done ny Christmas or a bit after.... Gelato from Original Sensible Seeds is similar in terms of acting such as streching and all that ... The same situation applies not much to really say we wait ;) I am really happy to have these ladies.... Well, Do-Si-Dos OG is the craziest one ever... lol.... not only due her crazy kind of streching style but the trichome developement that comes along to the fan leaf "holder" stem is pretty crazy.... Those buds are like a diamonds sticky and she would be ready to harvest but need to wait because I need to go.... I really had to fix her by placing a stick there I broke one stem but fixed as it did not come off... so crazy especially now because of the weight of the buds... now she looks even more beautiful... I think she is the most challenging grow ever. Original Sensible Seeds genetics is unique really high quality just look at them. Royal Queen Seeds as well but this is my second grow from them my first was a Green Gelato which is the same calm littlw bushy plant. Amazing very good for newbies ;) I am going on holiday again and back on 28th of December so after harvest starts. Girls will be cut after. The 7th weeks starts with tomorrow 16th of December.... Only flushing and no more nutritient will be used. Soon full report comes. Lamp is the same 11 hours on and 13 off.... The last 4 days they will get 4 days darkness and only ventilation will be working no even more water ;)

They are huge. I think I will start doing defoliation 2 times per week. PH 5,5 - 5,7 EC 2,50 - 2,75 See you next week guys!

From structure to flower formation, these girls are showing intent. Stacking, stretching, drinking… responding. Let’s break this week down properly. --- ## 🔬 Macro World — Why We Start Looking Closer Now This week marks the beginning of something important: we stop just looking… and start observing. Macro photography allows us to step into the plant’s reality: • Trichome heads beginning to form • Early resin coverage on sugar leaves • Pistils reaching, searching, multiplying • Surface textures you don’t see with the naked eye No stacking here — just single shots. Finding the focus. Respecting the moment. Some shots are clean and informative. Others are more dramatic — shadows, contrast, emotion. Both matter. Because growing is not just data… it’s also perspective. --- ## 🌿 Canopy Work — Opening Space, Not Forcing Control This week we did a selective defoliation. Not aggressive. Not random. Intentional. One of the girls pushed hard — dense structure, limited airflow — so we opened her up slightly. Goal: • Improve light penetration • Reduce microclimate buildup • Allow lower sites to breathe • Keep energy moving efficiently We removed more leaves than initially expected — but always with respect to the plant. No stress signs after. They accepted it well. --- ## ⚠️ Leaf Observations — Nothing Concerning We spotted some burned leaves, mainly: → Under-canopy LED exposure → Lower zones receiving direct intensity Important: • Not spreading • Not systemic • New growth remains healthy Color is strong. Leaf posture is confident. Flower sites are developing clean. This is not a problem — just a note. --- ## 🌱 Current Environment & Feeding The girls are eating and drinking like champions: • 💧 ~1.7L per plant / day • ⚡ EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 • 🌡️ Temp: 28°C • 💨 RH: 60–65% • 🌬️ CO₂: ~1000 ppm Everything is aligned with their demand. They’re not being pushed — they’re being supported. --- ## 📏 Structure & Growth • Height: ~150 cm • Strong vertical development • Good lateral branching • Flower sites stacking consistently This is the phase where structure turns into yield. F29 beginning of 4th week of flowering SD3 - initially sweet orange then engine grease SD2 - initially sharp vaseline then engine grease mixed with kerosine.I personally like SD2 more. Even with the stunted growth. SD3 is getting yellow from the bottom and i dont know what to do. I had thrips so i sprinkled diatomaceus earth on top of the soil and rubbed some on the fan leaves and stems. Sorry for the reddish pics

Well I got my Mars TS1000 and 2x2 tent and I'm replacing the TS1000 with HLG 135w QBB288 V2 rspec! I like the TS1000 but I wanted something to handle flower better and I've ready so many solid reviews for HLG products, plus they are local to me in Canada. I also decided I need some more room so I'm swapping my tent from a 2x2x4 to a 2x2x4.7 for a bit of extra height. The plant seems to be loving the new space, my new baby (RQS Royal Cheese freebie) is growing a lot faster under this light, new diary coming up!
