Flowering Week 20: Structural Surprises & Purple Promises Update: 28.07.2025 | Day 143 Hey Growmies, Apologies for the radio silence! Between vacation and kid adventures, the diary took a backseat. But the ladies? They’ve been busy. Here’s the catch-up: Emergency Support Mission - Durban’s weight crisis: Side branches cracked under their own mass – one even split the main stem! - Field fix: Stabilized with 4 stakes + speaker wire (ugly but effective). - Lesson learned: Next run = heavy-duty support before stretch. Strain Check: Durban Poison (African Queen) - Growth style: Less height (expected 2m+), more lateral explosion – new shoots daily make her look like 3 plants in one. - Flower status: White pistils stacking at branch tips. - Smell: Still discreet (neighbor-safe… for now). - Health: Vibrant green – zero stress signs. Blueberry - Surprise stretch: Nearly hit 2m (like a sativa!). Half Durban’s width but elegant. - Stem power: Thicker trunk than Durban – mini-tree status. - Color preview: Purple stems emerging! Buds may follow suit (fingers crossed). - Support needed: Prepping for heavy buds to avoid branch snaps. Care & Environment - Feeding: Pure Bokashi juice (no extras) – they’re thriving on it. - Pests/mold: None spotted. Dry summer helping. - Weather: About 20° C and really high humidity. Next Steps - Build 4-stake + twine support grid (multiple height tiers). - Monitor Durban’s odor spike as flowering advances. - Pray to the mold gods for a dry autumn (purple buds = mold camouflage). Week 20 Takeaway Never underestimate the weight of the branches and the effect of a little strom. I could possible fuck up my grow. Alright folks, as always: Catch y’all next week – no more hiatuses! – Smoking_Joe_Frazier

The week ends Sunday Mar-1, being day 61 - week 8 of flowering since flipping the lights. From first pistils shown, it's day 45 which is a more accurate snapshot of where the plants actually are in their maturity. Started the ripening feed phase for the plant. No other nutrients or supplements added (other than enzyme). Lots of orange hairs covering the top buds and buds lower are beginning to also ripen. Trichomes are cloudy now across the canopy with a few amber. Will be monitored for any changes to initiate flushing for 2 days prior to harvesting the tops. Not much change in the buds development on the plant. The CBD has dense nugget style buds with some swelling starting. Light is maintained at 30cm above the canopy, with single daily fertigation at lights on - watering 3L per day. Fertigation pH target is 5.9-6.2 whilst flowering. Stopped the practice of fertigating at lights off due to the other pot developing a springtales infestation. Need to allow at least 2-4hrs of lights on period after fertigation. The coco is not dry but still damp on the surface after 24hrs from fertigation. Seems the plant is slowing down the amount of water intake which is expected at this stage. Trying to maintaining an average RH in the space at 50% but it's getting harder now with all flowers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive & active intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - GHE Flora trio nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy the other at the roots level)

High GD community, I cant believe its 3 weeks since ive started this grow. Time flies!!! The lights are only 3 days in a better position. First it was tight up to the roof, now ive changed that so i can easely change height. I also only use 190w of the 320 available. So they still need to adapt to the new settings. Ive thrown some alpha alpha seeds in there and allready some not composted tomato seedlings start to pop up. They are still in their first pots of 2l, because rooting is not yet to the bottom. But they are standing on their future housing. I have to say, im quite pleased with how the soil looks. Theres not to much big pieces of uncomposted materials. I hope to see some exponential growth coming days, so next week transplant is on schedule. Thats it for this week Grow safe buds 🙏🍀🍀🍀🙏

Week 5 begins for LSD and Green Crack! The LSD ladies had the most yellowing over the last week, yet they have the most frost on the buds. The Green Crack ladies had a little bit of yellowing and has bigger buds, but no frost at this time. They all seem very happy in their new 4x8 home. Thanks for stopping by growfessors, tune in next week for another episode of growfessor theatre. 👽🌳💚

I would definitely recommend the White Widow Max Auto to a beginner grower! I hope it tastes as good as it looks.

So, day 65 of the 🔅Root66 auto project🔅 and this is the last update before harvest: ❎- GSC (2) are the only plants that didn't make it so we didn't defol --> 15-20 days late. Strong plants, high ppm feeding --> no probs at all.[Same phenos]. ☑️- Cream mandarine xl (4) more than a week (10 days) before maturity. Besides that CMxl is a great yielder, tall plant with light brunches. Average ppm needed. ✅- Jack 47 (4) 5 days before maturity but that's enough for these Jacks to pass the test. Smell is unique (pineapple), no stress probs, really dwarf plants.[Same phenos]. ✅- Gorilla Glue (2) pass the test and ready for harvest. Not what I really expected, average yield, growth etc. ✅- Fast berry (3) pass the 66 project. We had 2 phenos (2 green and 1 purple), beautiful plants with great aromas. Nitrogen issues, don't overfeed. ✅- Crystal Meth (3) pass the test from day 60🤯, 2 phenos. We experimented with these. The green one (with a little purple inside) had a topping and is already mature one week before the end of the project, purple #1 just defol and purple #2 supercroping. A really fast strain, good yield n hungry.

I'm behind schedule with my updates, sorry I've been busy... Things have moved along significantly for this girl since last posted. Topping did her some good despite the fan falling on the plant and snapping of one of the main sites. I intend to grow her out during the flowering stage of the 3 others autoflowers and then have her in flowing by herself on the 12/12 schedule in the 3x3 tent. Hopefully she'll be a monster ;) UPDATE *** Testing something out. She is in the midst of ending week 5 and I've transplanted her into a 40L pot to see if this will benefit stronger cola formations and an overall bigger yield. I was given these seeds and had believed they were feminized seeds but I'm starting to see pistils at bud sites. Must also be an auto this will alter my plans for this girl but he will be the last of the 4 auto flowers I have going therefore she will get all the light attention in her final 2-3 weeks.

Very easy strain to grow. I grew the White Critical Express previous to this grow, I really liked it and wanted to try growing an Autoflower so I went for the Critical 2.0 and it was worth the grow.

Rough week! Found two major hermie issues Pheno #5&2. Could be because they where the OGs and they just had a long stressful life. Really bummed because they where the biggest in the tent for sure. Have a coupoe tops with orange hairs so maybe got pollinated, all i can do is keep my eye on them! Besides that everything is looking so great had to re-train and move canopy around but still have full coverage. Getting allot more tops

We didnt feel like waiting another 2-3 weeks for the next tent to clear so we setup a temporary 18hr space for moms and clones, both tents are officially 12hrs now (we just ordered a 3rd tent)..the Bangers have been in flower for 2 days now and they were definitely ready, they've already grown a few inches since Wednesday...we started bloom nutrients last week and cut grow solution this week..they couldn't look happier atm..I think we're in for a fantastic yield (i just hope we don't outgrow the space )..we also have 10 Solo cups tucked behind these of our own cross all flowering at once... We intend to lower the MarsHydro around week 3 of flower...we only grabbed 1 cutting of the Bangers so I'm REALLY hoping it takes because having mom of this wouldn't suck.. thanks for dropping by and reading my novel if you chose to do so lol, happy harvests friends!! ❤️💡🌱😽💨 ⚡Mars Hydro/SP-3000⚡ Specifications ⚙️: Diodes: Samsung LM301B / Osram 660nm (960 total!)
