Flowering Week 20: Structural Surprises & Purple Promises

Hey Growmies,
Apologies for the radio silence! Between vacation and kid adventures, the diary took a backseat. But the ladies? They’ve been busy. Here’s the catch-up:
Emergency Support Mission
- Durban’s weight crisis: Side branches cracked under their own mass – one even split the main stem!
- Field fix: Stabilized with 4 stakes + speaker wire (ugly but effective).
- Lesson learned: Next run = heavy-duty support before stretch.
Strain Check:
Durban Poison (African Queen)
- Growth style: Less height (expected 2m+), more lateral explosion – new shoots daily make her look like 3 plants in one.
- Flower status: White pistils stacking at branch tips.
- Smell: Still discreet (neighbor-safe… for now).
- Health: Vibrant green – zero stress signs.
Blueberry
- Surprise stretch: Nearly hit 2m (like a sativa!). Half Durban’s width but elegant.
- Stem power: Thicker trunk than Durban – mini-tree status.
- Color preview: Purple stems emerging! Buds may follow suit (fingers crossed).
- Support needed: Prepping for heavy buds to avoid branch snaps.
Care & Environment
- Feeding: Pure Bokashi juice (no extras) – they’re thriving on it.
- Pests/mold: None spotted. Dry summer helping.
- Weather: About 20° C and really high humidity.
Next Steps
- Build 4-stake + twine support grid (multiple height tiers).
- Monitor Durban’s odor spike as flowering advances.
- Pray to the mold gods for a dry autumn (purple buds = mold camouflage).

Never underestimate the weight of the branches and the effect of a little strom. I could possible fuck up my grow.

week four flower everything looks fine so far :D
I water them with 1.5l every 48h
the light I use was set to 100% and it hangs 80cm away from the tops

Vamos familia, actualizamos la octava semana de floración de estas Black Rainbow de Seedstockers, salieron las 3 de 3, 100% ratio éxito.
Aplicamos varios productos de Agrobeta, que son increíbles para aportar una buena alimentación a las plantas.
Temperatura y humedad dentro de los rangos correctos dentro de la etapa de floración.
La tierra utilizada es al mix top crop, por cambiar.
De 3 ejemplares seleccioné los 2 mejores para completar el indoor y trasplanté directamente a macetas de 7 litros, cambien el fotoperiodo a 12/12 y aplique una buena poda de ramas bajas, se ven bien sanas las plantas, tienen un buen color y progresan a muy buen ritmo por el momento, cogieron una tricomada seria.

Everything going well with this strain no problems and growth is very fast, they bounce back after any defoliation.
Day 41 - Gave them a haircut today and a good Biosys tea feed till run of will leave now till start of next week
Planning to add a drip irrigation feed system this week to make this a little easier. 🤞
Will update next Sunday now end of week 6 as will be busy adjusting and implementing the irrigation feed.

The gas tax x obama runtz is a disappointment so far just like my skunk apple runtz starting to realize how much work legit breeders actually put in to make a good strain. The plant liked being topped it just has not hit its stride yet it definitely going to be a skiny lady
The day has come and it's time to flip these ladies to flower. I was planning on letting them go untill Friday and let the smaller ones grow just a bit more but they will be fine. I have the eternity cup contest in mind and I'm thinking timing so I need to get these lady done and out my tent lol. This past week I turned the light up alot getting them ready to flower they have grown a bunch inhavendone lst maybe 5 it 6 times on the branchs and they arw nit bendy anymore that will help durring flower.

6/28/25 transplanted into a 3 gallon pot. Soil amended with dr earth 463 and home made worm casting. Filled hole with mykos for transplant. Roots looked really nice and healthy

This week went ok . I noticed there are Rust spots on the leaves that was due to I didn't have my carbon filter at the time but I do now and the plants have been treated today with the spray .but other then that thay ar doing well . Thank you for looking at my diary and always remember it's 420 somewhere 🌱👍

This diary is going to be a day by day if I keep up. Unless I am on vacation I will take pictures every day.
Sorry for some of the potato quality pics earlier on. After week 2 or so I'm going to only take pics with my camera flash.
The first image is about a day after sprouting. No pictures for the pineapple for the first week as I wasn't sure if it was going to grow or perish. It must have had a mild root infection but it has won the battle against it as of now and is doubling in size daily after a week of not doing much.
I am using a uv light in the reservoir. My method is using 3-D printer root sprayers to pump water directly to the roots, I also have an air stone in each 5 gallon bucket. I have an overflow on each bucket to drain the water back into the reservoir. I positioned the buckets on top of chairs to let gravity do its thing there. Humidity has been fine lately so I am not using the dehumidifier. Future grows I will get a controller to turn the dehumidifier on if needed. I wanted to clone these but realized it's not good to do with autoflowers so I have ordered regular feminized purple haze and cbd blueberry for my next grow. Stay tuned!

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil.
Day 1 we had rain and thunderstorms through the previous night and into the morning. We had sunshine for most of the afternoon. About 4 p.m we had severe thunderstorms and rain until about 6 p.m. There was very little hail and nothing was damaged. I went ahead and took the first node off to divert all the energy to the upper branches.
Day 2 we had relief from the rain. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's and lots of sunshine. We have a few days of sunshine in the forecast 🙏.
Day 3 we had lots of sunshine and clear skies. Highs in the upper 70's and 49% humidity. We needed the dryness. 🙏.
Day 4 we had clear skies and sunshine. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's.
Day 5 we had partly cloudy skies and temps in the middle 70's. I added some potassium and they seem to be responding well.
Day 6 we had temperatures in the low 70's. Sky's were cloudy and we had showers in the evening.
Day 7 we had rain the previous night and intermittently throughout the day. Temperatures were in the low 70's with cloudy skies.
This week was a success. One plant doubled in height and the other two nearly did. The topping produced two beautiful new branches with lots of side branches. These girls are getting bushy, developing a little smell, and will make some fine buds.

Smelling great and getting frostier by the day. Trichs still mostly clear with a few going cloudy. Dropped temps a few degrees. Buds are lovely and dense. One more week of feed then flush.

5/3/24 cultivars listed in order of video appearance
#1 First to pop. Last to lose shell. Her leaves are SUPER short and thick. About medium height
#2 most consistent. Popped 4 hrs after her sister #1. The most consistent in growth. Leaves are thin and medium length
#3 was the slowest to pop but once she did, she shot up and surpassed her sisters in size, in about half the time it took the others.

Ok week 5 veg. I usually just let the plants grow through the trellis net.
This time I tried a little bit of everything. I did a fairly big trim on leaves. I tied down branches with twist ties and then lowered the trellis net overtop. I may have gone a little overboard. But looking at other peoples diary’s I am seeing a lot of techniques being used so I will giver a shot. Trial and error.

Plants growing up through trellis nicely. After tie down and trim.

The pheno 5 has started to throw out HAZEY smell in the tropical mix.
I can smell the slightly musky/cheezy/spicy scents of the haze.
I think this is a trait that I will have to consider throughout the selection, since that haziness is certainly something we want to have when experiencing the Liberty HAZE ;)

They bounced back great after breaking some necks, I’ll add one more layer of trellis a foot above each of these to seperate new growth but otherwise we just let it ride to harvest from here.
Adding mammoth microbes at .6 ml/gal also. For veg just use b1/b2 at 5g/gal same for clones. Start microbes with clones through flower.

I am not doing anything at all ,
this plant is just staying arround in my garden.
i just tried topping technic the first time and it worked well.
now i just have to hope that this plant will be a lady, then i think i will get a good harvest
in september/october.

Week 5 started July 24, 2022
Growth is still strong into week five, I see no pre flowering, I think that is because she started really slowly due to me getting used to this new light, etc.

Smells like lime sherbet up in here. LST, light defoliation to get some light on the lower colas. Really watered in today for the first time soaking the media, she is stretching and I see maybe some hairs for pre-flower - hope not too too soon though, I'd like more height than nine inches before she fully stretched

Candy grows slowly because of this weather here in South germany :-(
