Almost time for, lights, camera, action ! She will get a decent defoliation to show those beautiful flowers and then she is ready to be documented, what an exciting and stressful grow for me, not because of the plants but because of the ridiculous temperatures we reached this summer 🌞

# Candy Rain Auto by Zamnesia 🌱🍬🌧️ ## Germination Week | Every Storm Passes Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Welcome to another new journey. As some of you may have noticed, I've recently adjusted the way I document my grows. With the current photo limitations on GrowDiaries, each phenotype now receives its own dedicated diary whenever possible, allowing me to continue documenting every stage of development while selecting the best photographs from each week. The goal remains exactly the same as always: To create an honest, educational, and complete record from seed to harvest while sharing observations, successes, mistakes, lessons learned, and everything in between. Today, we begin following Candy Rain Auto. And like some of the previous diaries in this project, this one begins with a lesson. --- ## Not Every Seed Makes It The original plan for Candy Rain Auto was exactly the same as the rest of the garden. Same environment. Same methodology. Same equipment. Same care. Yet growing has a way of reminding us that there is always something new to learn. The first attempt did not succeed. Looking back, I believe I likely overwatered the coco starter plug during the earliest stages. The seed germinated, but never established itself properly. Sometimes that's all it takes. A little too much moisture. Not enough oxygen. And the seedling never quite finds its footing. Mistakes happen. Every grower experiences them. The important thing is learning from them and moving forward. --- ## A Second Attempt Rather than giving up on the genetic, I decided to try again. A second Candy Rain Auto seed was placed into the Cannakan germination system. The result was exactly what we hoped to see. Fast germination. Healthy taproot. Strong emergence. Good vigor. This time I decided to skip the coco starter plug entirely. Instead, the seed was planted directly into Plagron Lightmix after germination. Sometimes the best adjustment is the simplest one. The seedling responded beautifully and quickly emerged ready to begin her journey. --- ## Germination Using the Cannakan System For germination I used the same Cannakan system employed throughout this project. The concept is simple and effective. The seed was placed inside using only plain water. No nutrients. No additives. No stimulants. Just water. Within approximately 24 hours a healthy taproot had emerged and the seed was ready for planting. Simple. Clean. Reliable. Exactly what we hope to see from healthy genetics. --- ## Why Only Water? One question that often appears during germination is: "Why not feed the seed immediately?" The answer remains simple. The seed already contains everything required for its first stage of life. Inside that shell are the energy reserves needed to establish roots and begin development. At this stage, I prefer allowing the seed to use those natural reserves exactly as intended. The objective is not to feed the plant. The objective is simply to wake it up. Water is enough. Nature already prepared the rest. --- ## Environmental Conditions Environmental conditions remained intentionally simple and stable. Temperatures stayed around 26–27°C. Humidity was maintained between approximately 65–70% using a Spider Farmer humidifier. Rather than keeping seedlings inside extremely humid conditions for extended periods, I prefer introducing them relatively early to the environment they will actually experience throughout their life cycle. The objective is adaptation. Not dependence. Airflow remained extremely gentle. Just enough movement to keep fresh air circulating without creating unnecessary stress. --- ## Lighting Lighting during germination remained intentionally soft. Young seedlings simply do not require intense light levels at this stage. The goal is healthy establishment rather than rapid growth. Once properly established, this girl will move under the Future Of Grow Black Series 600W full-spectrum LED system where the next stage of development begins. For now, healthy roots and healthy growth remain the priorities. --- ## First Observations Despite the initial setback, the second attempt progressed beautifully. Fast germination. Healthy taproot. Strong emergence. Healthy color. Good vigor. And perhaps most importantly: A successful recovery. Sometimes a grow begins exactly as planned. Sometimes it begins with a lesson. This one happened to begin with both. --- ## Looking Ahead Over the coming weeks we'll follow Candy Rain Auto through every stage of development. We'll document: - Root establishment - Early growth - Environmental management - Watering practices - Structural development - Flowering progression - And whatever unique characteristics this plant chooses to reveal Because every seed carries potential. And sometimes all that potential needs is a second opportunity. Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along for another seed-to-harvest adventure. Grower's Love everyone. 🌱💚 And who knows? Maybe after a little rain, we'll get something sweet. 🍬

We are officially in full bloom. The have been enjoying 6-7 hours of sun light per day for about 4 days now, then brought back in under the cobs. The girls are all exploding with growth and stacking what I expect to be huge buds.

Week 10: This will be the final update before Harvest: I will update post harvest after the dry and weigh. Day 64-66: Decided I would continue feeding them until I harvest since they could go 7 days longer. Albeit with a half dose of Calmg and Boost(micro). All White Cracks seem to be doing good. I realized a few days ago the outer plants underneath the blurple LEDs seemed to be showing slight signs of light stress(the leaves were bending away from the light instead of toward it). I lowered the Blurples a few days earlier so I raised them back up. These are some FROSTY plants... Day 67-70: Going good, plants under the blurples responded postively to raising the lights. Seems I was wrong last week about these smelling stronger than the 4AM, it's actually the other way around lmao. But these are still some great smelling plants! Can't wait to dry and weigh that thicc double bud and main cola from WC#1! Hope it's not too airy, they look like pretty dense buds! Really bummed that I have to harvest this weekend, I would have liked to let #2 and #3 go for another week, but it's all good! Next time! Still this will probably the dankest shit I've smoked in a very long time 😂😎 #1 is probably the most mature at this point with about 90% cloudy and a 5-10% amber. #2 and #3 are the same with about 70-80% cloudy and a few amber. This has been an awesome learning experience and I'm already thinking about ways to improve my next grow! These White Cracks have been quite resistant to my newbiness! Awesome plants to grow! Much easier to hanlde than the 4AM!

Day 43 - Starting week 7 and she’s looking good. She’s starting to stretch more every day and flowers are starting to fatten up a bit. Gonna continue with the foxfarm feeding schedule. Can’t wait for her to finish! Day 44 - The room is really starting to smell amazing. Just keeping on with the foxfarm nute schedule until she’s ready to be cut in a couple more weeks. Still plenty of fattening and growing to go. Day 45 - No major changes, she’s just chugging along. Gave a feeding of just water today and tomorrow will be the foxfarm feeding. I love her look and the smell starting to really come from her. Day 46 - No major changes, just continuing to fatten, grow and definitely getting really frosty! Day 47 - What can I say? This thing is an amazing grow and smelling amazing. She just growing and fattening each day. Still to early to really look at the trichs but wanted to look anyway. Got a few decent pics and there’s a few cloudy ones in there. Gave her straight pH’d water today and tomorrow and will give another feeding on Saturday. Day 48 - No big changes, just continuing to fatten up. Held off on watering today, she didn’t really drink munch compared to the GC. Will give her an actual “feeding” tomorrow. Day 49 - All is looking good and she’s plumping up each day. Gave her the foxfarm feeding today. Tomorrow starts week 8 so will continue with the feeding schedule until the end. She’s really starting to smell up the room in my house and loving it.

Hey guys, Like I said last week, this week was another cold rainy week. Discoverd some budrot on my Shamans, but not mayor problems. Therefore I decided to Harvest my Shamans at the end of this week. Knowing that in the upcomming weeks it will get even more colder, more rain and more bud rot. Luckly I only gave them water and one time with Humic-Blast and enzym+. Thats not a proper flush but better then full nutrients in the soil/plant. If it wasn't for the colder climate, i would had let them flower for another 1 to 2 weeks because they really started to thicken and the flowers were swelling. But at the end i rather have smokable buds then budrot buds,,, Weather for the upcomming week is 70% to 92% rain with 11-14 degrees Celcius and at night even 7-9 celcius. So there is no point by risking all of my buds to rot, in hope for some swelling which may never come with this colds The Critical Kushes where in their 4th week of flowering, going into the 5th. I have no other choice to keep them at least for another 2-4 weeks, lets see how it goes. I don't mind spending nutrients on maybe a lost cost. Somehow GD minimalize the videos after putting 10pictures on the diary, Just click on the next picture and click on the right arrow to go to the videos. See yall next week :)

She began to flowering actively. No signs of any kind of disbalance. Everything is ok. Just a little bit of more light would be perfect for her 🤷‍♂️ Can't help with anything. Because of her height she is blocked by others 🤦‍♂️

🌱 Week 3 – Permanent Marker Veg Update Strain: Permanent Marker (Zamnesia Seeds) Project: Official Dognabis Cup Grow Diary 🌍 Role: Organizer & Example Grow ⸻ 🌟 Welcome to the Dognabis Cup 🌟 We’re proud to officially introduce the Dognabis Cup to the Grow Diaries community! This is a virtual cannabis cup, focused on creativity, transparency, and community energy, open to all levels of growers. You can follow along or join via our official Instagram page: 👉 @dognabiscup This grow diary will serve as an example and inspiration for participants, showing how I document the process, care for my plants, and work with genetics, soil, light, and love. The Cup had a brief pause due to a lost mail, but now it’s back and fully activated. Let’s grow together! 💚🔥 ⸻ Transplanting Time – Moving Up! The Permanent Marker girls have thrived in their early veg phase, and they’re now ready for a major milestone: transplanting into their final pots. The roots are vigorous, white, and beautifully spread, a sign of healthy development. • New pots: 11L Zamnesia fabric pots – breathable, root-friendly, ideal for organic soil • Transplant timing: Perfect—plants are strong, compact, and ready for more space • Structure: Both selected phenos (PM#1 and PM#2) are extremely similar—vigorous, balanced, and symmetrical. PM#3 will be kept as a backup. From the beginning, this was a “3 to keep 2” plan, and now we follow through. ⸻ About the Genetics Permanent Marker is a strain that needs no introduction in the craft cannabis world. Bred by Doja Pak x Seed Junky x DEO Farms, and now shared through Zamnesia Seeds, this cross of Biscotti x Jealousy x Sherb Bx is known for its deep purple colors, greasy resin, and explosive terpene profiles. In this grow, we are not only testing potential, but celebrating this modern cultivar by giving it a perfect environment to shine. ⸻ 🌱 Super Soil Recipe – Building a Living Medium To support the organic journey, we’ve built a super soil blend based on Aptus Holland’s organic nutrient system. Here’s what went in: • Micromix – Boosts microbial life and supports soil biodiversity • All-in-One Pellets – Slow-release, balanced macro + micro nutrition • Substrate Buffer Powder – Stabilizes pH and improves nutrient availability • Mycorrhizae – Applied directly in contact with the root zone to support colonization and nutrient exchange This mix is pre-mixed thoroughly before transplanting, giving the roots an environment rich in nutrition, oxygen, and microbial harmony. ⸻ 💧 First Watering After Transplant – Intentional Feeding For the initial watering post-transplant, we’re using Aptus Holland’s liquid line to help the roots settle in and activate the soil life: • Start Booster – To stimulate root branching and microbial synergy • All-in-One Liquid – A balanced, fast-absorbing nutrient base • CalMag Boost – To avoid any early deficiencies and strengthen cell walls • Regulator – Enhances nutrient uptake, strengthens tissue, and reduces transplant stress This feeding is low EC, highly bioavailable, and structured to support a soft transition with zero shock. ⸻ 🔍 Pheno Notes – Structure & Selection • PM#1 and PM#2 are being kept based on uniformity, growth speed, and leaf morphology • PM#3 is healthy, but as per the plan, it will remain as a backup • All phenos are compact and symmetrical, which aligns with Permanent Marker’s known characteristics • We’re curious to see how stretch and resin production evolve in coming weeks ⸻ 💬 Final Thoughts – On Growth & Community This week marks a turning point, from rooting to expanding. The girls are moving into their adult homes, and with that comes the real shaping of structure, terpene profiles, and eventual flower power. We’re thankful to be walking this journey with support from brands we trust, and from a community that lifts each other up. 🌍 Dognabis Cup is not just a competition, it’s a celebration of craft, learning, and expression. We invite everyone to follow along, ask questions, and maybe even start their own diary in the Cup spirit. ⸻ Thank you all for the love, support, and energy.
