Lollipoping/defoliation completed at the very beginning of the week. Some will argue that’s too late. But I find I get better yields if I wait till the last minute. They will be left alone for the rest of the grow. Started mid week bumping up to 1250ppm as the stretch has stopped. That caused a little nuit burn, so dialled back to 1150ppm.

Welcome to week 4 of flower for this lovely project! I anticipate that things will slow down in the manner of stretching this week and the plants will start focusing on flower growth. I don't think the plants are too affected by the slight mishap of last week ( timer failure ) but only time will tell. Some of the plants are starting to put out a nice nose while others are really subtle still. Over all very excited to see what's going to happen this week! Fuel D.og#2 started to yellow up abit, not to sure why but where going to try and address this issue. Day#24F Pictures N/A. Ladies continue to stretch along and stack them flower sites. Trichomes are starting to stack up really early on these girls. Day#25F The ladies are growing along nicely, adding weight to them flowers daily! The nose coming off them is starting to get stronger and stronger now! Day#26F Pictures N/A. Ladies are almost done their stretching, some have started to slow down now. Won't be long till we look at installing nets. Day#27F Ladies are starting to put on some serious mass now. I hope that we get some nice colourful flowers! Day#28F Pictures N/A. Seems like all is in order. I had to go away for a week because of an emergency and luckily a friend looked after them, only thing he wasn’t sharp on was training and defoliating which is why it got so big and bushy last week. Still no nutrient deficiencies. I visited a website called cannastats a month ago and it actually breaks down ppm requirements for each element. Was a lot of work to get my spreadsheet to calculate properly, but really seems to be working. If anyone wants further details on this, feel free to DM me. I think the big stretch last week was caused by high temps, as a window was left shut when it shouldn’t have been, and also the light wasn’t in the middle because my friend moved the lights up and didn’t realise, so the colas at the back stretched more... that’s my theory anyway. Overall all is good, switch back to 3200k bulbs again today. Need a wide angle lenses to take a photo of this thing, she’s huge...

So for this week the training comes into play . So 1 ogkz was topped, 1 ogkz was broken , * note on the brake it was the best brake I have done , not because I am getting better at it mostly because the outer skin of the plant with the OG kz was much thicker and stronger than I'm used to so it broke quite easily. My guess is the correlation with the autoflower plays a big part in that. And 1 ogkz I just left it be . Green crack 1 kept as a mother 2 were broke 2 topped

These are the seeds from my auto breeding project earlier this year. That diary link can be found here: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/129779-grow-journal-by-m0use Germinated by scarification of the seed with an emery board then soaking in water for 12hrs, I added in the step of paper towel for another 12hrs then planted outside with myco in the hole. Watered in with some LABS "Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum [Lactobacillus]" and Transplanter MS-CS RootRescue. They all popped up within a few days after planting outside. They are in a acti-sol fortified soil and should not need much love. I ran out of mesh to protect them so bamboo spikes will keep the birds at bay... hopefully. I also have a twin setup of these seeds but in a planter with heavy soil, they will be running side by side for comparison.

Pure Ice cream is doing great under the Spider Farmer G5000/UVR40 lights. She is bulking well. Smelling very sweet, and creamy. Everything is looking really good. Had a PH issue which almost spoiled the entire plant. But fantastically I noticed the issue right from the start, so even though she became very yellow she's pushing through till the end and is back to absorbing nutes. +Day 61 started flushing SHE'S A TRUE FIGHTER <3 I'm happy that I managed to learn the importance of pH.

Overall a fun and enjoying flower of the purple sunset. She transitions quickly and stretchs fast. Being an indica hybrid she doesn't get too tall, thus creating strong and sturdy branches to hold her fast dense frosty nugs. During the stretch she loves a good amount of grow notes. Week 2 to 4 she starts getting picky. Once she starts to fade, it is time to drop the grow nutes and go into full bloom early in week 4. This cultivar shows more phenotypical expressions depending on climate and flush. She shows huge purple hues in flush. Allowing her to go into week 9 to 11 can result in almost purple buds. She has a nice term profile in flower and once in the jars. Sweet candy grape 🍇 purple punch notes on the nose and on the pallette when exhaling on the smoke. When trimming this girl she was. Breeze to trim. She got a good 8 to 9 days to dry and was then sweat in the jars. When you smoke Ethos purple sunset the indica really hits you like a train. Taking her down at day 52 was a good choice. The high feels like any of the high once u smoke it. You don't start to notice the stoned effects until you're halfway through a big bowl with your partner. As you guys finish, you notice the body stone take in effect as well the heavy chest and trachea feeling which I LOVE. A sense of happiness and relaxation set in almost immediately. Very enjoyable indica high with great terps. I would give it a 10 but that maybe next run once grow her to week 10 flower. Overall Ethos purple sunset delivers. Fast flowering monster that delivers on extreme levels of frost and terp profiles. Don't believe? Pictures show it all. Day 24 - started LST on 1 Orange Sherbet & 1 White Widow to compare the differences at harvest! Day 25 - they are looking great! Can’t wait to see how the buds look😍✌️🏼 Day 26 - stretching out a lot! Day 27 - Last day of week 4 everything is going great!✌️🏼🌱

3/14: Came back from a 4 day vacation to a lot of dry, wilted, dead leaves on Amnesia. Trainwreck is super starved as well. My automatic watering system didn't kick on, and the humidifier ran out of water within 24 hours, so there's that. It may be for the better though, as the PH of the nutrients had risen to 7.5. I tossed that mix, and made another 2 gallons of half strength nutes, molasses and epsom salt. I watered them both to runoff, and now I'll wait for Amnesia to prioritize which leaves she thinks are worth saving, and then I'll defoliate the dead ones. Hopefully trainwreck will just bounce back to green. She needed to be defoliated anyway, so this situation makes it easier for me to find the dead leaves. Edit: Came back to feed the last of the nutes and decided to pluck the crispy goners. I found that pulling the leaf stem downward will make the most dead leaves fall right off, allowing me to test a majority of the leaves and give Amnesia a major haircut. Luckily I left a lot of leaves from prior defoliation, as Amnesia REALLY sucked them dry. 3/15: Amnesia looks no worse for wear than last night. Trainwreck as well. Went ahead and pulled as many dead leaves off Trainwreck as I could. Some leaves were a mix of crispy brown and healthy green, which I think is pretty goofy, so I avoided taking any green fans but removed the crispy ones. The colors of the leaves around the buds are really fun to look at. 3/16: Amnesia is starting to SHED her dead leaves, allowing me to pick the leaves with almost no effort. I tested as many leaves as I could, giving another haircut. I would say this isn't a good thing, but since it's my first grow, I'm rolling with it. As long as Amnesia keeps the buds and its nearest leaves alive, it will slowly grow, albeit stunted. I'm not sure if this condition will cause it to finish sooner, but I'm going to need to watch the trichomes under a microscope every couple of days just in case she's ready for harvest. Trainwreck looks about the same as it did before. No new leaves are ready to be removed there yet. 3/19: Amnesia is still shedding leaves, but also bulking up. Trainwreck is slowly bulking up, and turning purple as well! Going to keep an eye on Amnesia's trichomes. Edit: because amnesia is yellowing so much, and because it's been 5 days, I'm going to feed both plants a quarter strength nutrient mix just in case I've been overfeeding them somehow.

Everything look excellent wishing I had a time machine. Just about run out from first grow can't get enough . hands down best smoke I had all year but I still think there is room for improvement .
