December 29 day 15, growth is fine, I will likely top the plant later in the week. Roots are developed enough to remove humidity dome, although I am still running a humidifier. December 30, day 16, topped the Malasana cookies and removed growth at the first node. I am not mainlining as I don't think it would give me an even canopy across the 8sqft growing area this plant will take up. The topping won't give the same symmetry, but with a bit of training I will end up with an even, wide canopy. I removed the branches from the first node as I would have to end up removing a lot of that growth. In my experience those first branches never fill in as much anyways. December 31 day 17, recovery from topping going well. Put the humidity dome back on to keep the VPD at around .8kPa. January 2 day 19, despite the large pot causing a bit of overwatering leaf droop the Malasana cookies continues to recover well. I am done with the humidity dome after waffling back and forth quite a bit. I posted an image in more natural light to so that the leaves are a healthy green. Just that edge curling that will work itself out when the plant grows into its big container. January 4 day 21, growth is taking off as it should at this age. Its still going to be a long veg to get an 8sqft flowering size. Recovery from the topping is good, and new leaves are healthier with less clawing. I applied LST with plant ties to get growth to head toward my plant training frame (atlas plant trainer).

We have reached the second week of flowering for our beautiful photoperiod ladies of Zamnesia. Born 1 September now at day 45 amazing. ---- The general environmental conditions are good, there is always a little too much heat from next week we should have just for the resin a sharp drop in temperatures that could also give us beautiful foliage for this period. --- Our 2 Karen Kush deserve a slightly different discussion. They had a bit of difficulty in the final vegetative phase, I saw them not being very good and here is where different decisions must be made for the two plants. —— Plant 1 is still in vegetative stage in another growbox dedicated to emergencies and due to space problems. I topped the center x8 tops and I'm letting them grow. Under the center I cleaned everything except two lateral branches that I elegantly worked with a symmetrical LST that director Wes Anderson would really like. It's a plant that could easily be dedicated to Grand Budapest Hotel. Also these lateral tops were growing too much compared to the center. In fact, by taking the center's food first, whoever is at the internode below eats first, there is nothing to do and therefore these lateral underlying branches were becoming much taller and more powerful than the center. Solution? Repeated fimming to keep the lateral branches low, which are indeed widening and strengthening, but the center is reaching them to be better aligned. In my opinion it will be wonderful in the end. —— Plant 2 was cleaned of many branches that would have given useless holes and we simply sent it into flowering straight like the others, we need to photograph the main cola of the plants and making them grow straight is more or less the only way. --- Fertilization program - The fertilizers are always Plagron and I am following the table that I generated on the site depending on the chosen substrate. Create your own sheet and follow it, never be presumptuous my friend as I have been in the past, follow the sheet and look at the plants, not all need the same amount of fertilizer. We have reached the point of giving a good dose of iron in the first weeks of flowering on the advice of Plagron directly foliar and I am at the end of the second week of flowering. Today will be Day 64. Getting close to Harvest Day. Let me tell you. The smell was unexpected stink up the place and outside the grow tent as I come home. I also clean the bottom up little more and removed the dead 🍁. I use Cha Ching on Week 9 and on Week 10 will be the flushing week. Stay tune!

When we had so many problems with the other two strains. This strain keeps pushing out buds like the little engine that could. Closest to the light, it handles heat and light way better than her counterparts. It also has some major trichome formation starting covering the entire top leaves. It is starting to smell and form real compact dense buds, although not very pronounced yet. We shall see but she promises to deliver some nice danky bud after all. Nice to see she still pulls together, also nice to see how different this strain behaves from others I have grown. Time will tell the total tally... We shall see if there is a Silverback in the making, but at least she is not staying behind any more. Also here, 3 to 4 more weeks... Cant wait! Thank you for checking in! He who stops is lost, as an old saying goes I don't know exactly what the origins are, so here's a new Zamnesia season. We are in the middle of winter and despite growing in an area that isn't the warmest in Europe, it's really cold now. It's 16-18 degrees Celsius in the house and we need to bring the temperature of the propagator growbox between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. So we first placed a layer of those 1 cm thick "rubberized" floors that are used for gyms, they are easily found on Amazon and are very useful for insulation. Then a heated resistance mat and then the closed propagator on top. Inside with our seedlings and the light on at minimum 20% we reached 24 degrees, not bad in fact the germination is proceeding very well. 100% opening of the seeds in water and almost all of them are opening in our biodegradable peat pots. ----- Our Purple Urke have started, really smooth as silk, no problems with the placenta, it's there nice and straight going towards the light, we trust you a lot baby! It's like most purples, an Indica predominance. WARNING: Placenta Problems ---- ALWAYS look very carefully at the seedlings, if the seed or the placenta prevent the opening of the cotyledon leaves the plant dies after a while. Remove it delicately as if it were a condom or almost. I apologize for the example but it gives the idea, remove slowly and delicately please. WARNING: If you choose biodegradable pots, choose the largest possible ones and not paper/cardboard ones, there is peat which is the main component of most of the soils we use.
