Still too early in the week to call it fully in bloom yet, little branches really started poking out after I tied down the 2 biggest fan leaves. I have been watering in small amounts but more often, using the soil weight and topsoil to judge. The smell has started coming in the last 2 days of week 4, skunky right off the bat. Noticed some nice little pistols poking about in bud sites! Update:D4/wk5 Bud sites are really starting to see expand, trying to keep the big fan leaves out of the way when possible. Going to start adding fox farms big bloom into the watering schedule starting D6/wk5.

Everything is going well with the lady's, no issues so far💪 Gonna put them in flower on the 25th and gonna start adding bud-ignitor to give them a litle kick under the 🍑 Rock on growmies

11/3 - Today was the first day of week 5 and also the first day I could see a visibly measurable decrease in her water level between check-ins (~12 hours apart). As a result of her drinking so much water in such a short time, the ppms shot up to almost 800. I used straight tap (7.5 pH, 170ppm) to adjust since her pH was also measuring 5.3. I adjusted her with this method until she registered 5.6pH and 670ppm (1.0ec + tap, 500ppm of nutrients). I would prefer for her pH to be a bit higher (5.8, ideally), but I will settle with this for now since the water is back to just touching the basket. Over the last couple days I've been adjusting her LST to help her bush up as much as possible. I can already see the heavy Sativa influence in her compared to her sister in the tent. I can't wait to see what she will throw at me. 11/4 - I wasn't even planning on doing an update today, but I want to note a few changes. Her root bundle is over a foot long and getting more wound up every day. I removed her LST ties in order to take advantage of the ScrOG screen apparatus (see notes below). After lights came back on, she measured 650ppm and had another notable drop in water level. Currently, I am preparing another nutrient solution that closely matches what she is feeding on now. I will be upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket. I will be aiming for 1ec of nutrients/additives (500ppm + Tap on my meter, Hanna Primo .5 conversion). Tap measured 180ppm, so target ppm would be 680. Later that same day... So I finished upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket before I actually got done writing the update. Added one photo showing new 5 gallon setup. Solo ScrOG test mk1 - In an attempt to do a ScrOG, but maintain control over each bucket, while still having relatively easy access to each reservoir, I decided to throw together this little contraption. I removed the lowest complete segment of a tomato cage, leaving a short "tail" beyond the lower ring to act as a peg to insert into corresponding holes in the lid. The lower ring is 10" in diameter and the upper is approximately 12" in diameter. Each ring is 11" apart. I would prefer to have a shorter segment, but I haven't worked out exactly how to do this yet. I would prefer to set the screen height at around 6" above the bucket instead of 11". This will have to suffice for the time being while I let my latent conscious work out a solution or one is provided by the community. Above each cage will sit a coated wire fence with grids measuring ~2"x3", as shown in the above picture. 11/5 - Uploaded short video showing Solo ScrOG Apparatus in place. Well its another update from down under.. and things are getting better with the Caramelo. She got badly burnt from my mistake of using too strong lime sulfur spray to treat spider mites and mold issues before they could take hold. And its kinda worked. lols...the mites are still there but reduced alot in number but I was almost ready to chop her after I saw how badly burnt all her new shoots were. But Im glad I decided to wait a bit as she has recovered faster than expected and while im sure she still has issue at the root level from the rain drenching her for near on a week- she basically stunted after that and never showed much stretch at all when switching to flower-she grew maybe 15cms in height total after that so Im assuming some kind of root rot has her and any harvest will be a bonus. In saying that Im still not going to be suprised if she suddenly dies or gets badly infected with bud rot out of the blue as Im nursing her hard just to get her to this stage and in my experience a nursed plant may produce a yield but it will be weaker than its meant to be and reduced by around 50% of the yield you should have got. if she was indoor id have ripped her out after the sighs she was stunted presented and started over with a new plant. But out doors I dont have that luxury so I will nurse her thru and hope for the best but expect less than average results. Zkittles though is loving life and just LOOK at her!! When you realize she was the same size as the Caramelo when the rain hit and now look at the difference- thats why i say when you see obvious signs of stunting-rip the plant if you can and start over, it may recover but if it was serious then the plant will never show its true potential and you may think those genetics are shit. Ive never grown the Caramelo before now so if i judge it on this result I will say the genetics are shit when the plant likely had root rot from 3 weeks before even switching to flower. And the BC buds hash plant is FINALLY flowering too now. For a 90% indica it sure is taking the longest to flower. I wonder if its the old school genetics at play here-This strain been around since the 70's while the ZkittleZ is a modern hybrid so maybe the newer genetics really are all they are cracked up to be. Thats why I love doing side by side grows out doors with diff genetics and see what they can really do. You should see my mates BC hashys- lmao, he said he wanted bigger plants than last year as he got "bonsai" plants from someone else. Now he has to tie down trees that are growing over his 6ft fence!! And they only just went into flower last week. But on that note- Will update more now as things progress towards harvest. Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 There has been much change this week!! First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plant. All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low. Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more room for light. Then finally switched to 12/12.. After just 36 hours after the defoliation there was a major change. New growth everywhere, colas started stretching upwards fast. It's like she already knows it's flowering time. Great reaction to the defoliation and 12/12 switch. I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again. I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now. I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients. That's it for this week. Stay tuned to see how she flowers. Stay safe!

Moved her to new 80x80 tent where she has a lot more space to spread. She's showing signs of potassium deficiency and they are accelerating. I increased her nutrients despite signs of burnt tips on the top leaves. I am confident it is not lock-out. She seems to be a guzzler.

germinated about a month ago and have grown less than i'd like, probably due to odd weather. had some colder periods and a summer that felt more like april in my area. Have only now begun to fertilize properly after some advice from my brother. This is my very first grow and i'd highly welcome some good tipps for how to better my growing.

This whole grow cycle I never added anything to the soil. I tried my first living soil set up with worms and cover crops. I didn't do anything but water from begining to end which is actually pretty crazy now that I think about it. Around day 3 of drying. The conditions are favorable. We have to open our windows at night to cool the house down so it's really been up to nature as to what the humidity and temperature will be. Right at this moment rh is it's in the 70s because of morning dew. But I'm also curious about how the "new" way to dry with cannatrol etc is based on dew point rather than straight 60 60. I've never achieved straight 60 60 but I've had 67 60 and 80 60 but the main thing is to keep the rh around 60% I'm curious to see how this turns out. She lived in nature and now she dries by nature.

D22 - Today was the start of the fourth week of veg, and it was time to transplant the girls into their final pots. I got the largest pots that I could find that still would fit in my small tent: 25-liter square pots. I prepared each pot with mycorrhiza before transplanting. I picked #2 and #3 to transplant since they are the most similar in structure, even though #1 and #2 are more similar in size. I adjusted the light to 300 PPFD at the canopy level. Finally, I gave each girl one liter of water @ pH 6.6. D24 -The girls love their new homes and have grown quite a bit in a couple of days. I've added a bunch of sensors to the pots to monitor the soil moisture better, one Flower Care sensor and one Blumat Digital in each pot. The Flower Care sensors aren't all that reliable in larger pots, so I temporarily added the Blumat sensors from my other tent to get a feel for how the FC sensors work in these pots and dial in the Blumat watering system. However, I haven't turned on the system yet, as the soil moisture remains relatively high after the transplant. D25 - It looks like the transplant was a success and that I avoided stunting either girl. They are looking more vigorous with each day. Yay! I'll give them one more day to chill and settle in before starting LST tomorrow. D26 - Started LST today. D27 - Tightened the LST wires and increased the light dimmer to around 400 PPFD at canopy level. D28 - The end of the fourth week of veg and all is well in the tent. I did a soil slurry test to check the pH since this is the first time using this soil blend. The test showed a pH of 7.0 so all good.

I can only say that the rate of growth im getting is amazing. Out of all three of the purple punch seems to have the most potent smell I am not sure if it's just the genetics or if it's what I'm feeding but we will see once the other start to develop. Touching the purple punch stem leaves a strong smell on the fingers and giving the bud small pinch smells strongly of grape chapstick. Stay tuned 😜

FBA2502 Week 4 April 20-26 Veg 4 Highlights of this week: I defoliated the large fan leaves from the main stems. After defoliating, I saw that plant #3 has a short, tight node structure like plant #1, so I pinned her down before she goes into flowering. Plants 2, 4, 5, and 6 are taller than plants 1 and 3. The larger plants 2, 4, 5, 6 show pre flowers with thinner new growth and hairs at the nodes. The leaves are wide and thick. Some have a slight blue tinge. This makes me think I’m over feeding. Apparently, the blended soil has enough nutrients for the autos, so I don’t need to feed right now. At the end of the week, I watered with ph 6.5 water with cal mag and recharge. Lights are 20” from tops of tall plants and 30 from 1& 3. My general thought for the future grows is to wait until the plant is bigger and see its structure before starting training. #1 has many branches coming into the middle. By beginning with pinning and keeping it at the ground, she will not achieve the stretch around the pot. I pinned #3 to push out the bud sites from being up against the main stem. It is easier to LST when there is more space between the nodes, so a bit of growth or stretch is required. Training to open the top is needed when the plant is short and tight.
