D60. I'm back again after being out of town for six days. The tent was packed when I opened it! The girls had stretched more, and a couple of leaves were even touching the lights and had gotten burnt. They are now 125 cm tall. That's five times the height they were when I flipped to flower. Five times!!! I have never had a strain stretch this much, and I hope they are done now since there's no more room in the tent. I removed the fan and carbon filer and placed them outside the tent. It looks a bit stupid and is far from stealthy, but what to do? I moved up the lights as far as possible, but I will probably switch the lights with the one I have in my autotent. That light has a much lower profile, so raising it even further is possible. Should that not be enough, I will have to cut off some tops, but I hope it doesn't come to that. The first girl already has dark purple flowers, while the second looks more green with some purple. ------------------------------ D61. I opened the tent today, only to find that the second girl had stretched another 2 cm overnight! This is getting ridiculous, and I hope they stop soon. I super-cropped the tallest top, hoping it would slow down the stretch. A few hours later, she had already recovered. These genetics are nuts! In other news, my girlfriend found spider mites on her papaya plants that are in the same room as my tents. We immediately removed the plants from the room, and I started to scout my plants for an infestation. The good news is that I didn't find any spider mites. However, the bad news is that I found thrips on the lower leaves of the second girl. Ugh! I had thrips last grow season, and I guess some survived. The thrips were only on the lower part of the plant, so I defoliated the girls by removing a bunch of leaves and tiny branches down low and immediately threw them out of the apartment. Thrips don't like it humid, and since the buds are still tiny, I don't need to worry about botrytis yet, so I cranked up the humidity into the high 70s to low 80s. Finally, I ordered a bunch of lacewing larvae that will get here next week. They should eat the thrips and any spider mites that I might not have been able to find. ------------------------------ D63. The girls have slowed their stretch, BUT they are still stretching somewhat. I freaked out when I opened the tent today and saw they were taller, so I attacked them immediately and super-cropped the highest tops. I will switch out the lights next week, gaining me another few centimeters, which I hope will be enough. The VPD in the tent is way off, but I'm more interested in figuring out the light and getting rid of the thrips. Finally, I watered each girl with 2.5 liters of water L pH 6.1, with 10 ml humic acid and 5 ml Fermented Fruit Juice I made a few months ago. ------------------------------

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. Still a Mystery… Or Maybe Not? 🤔🌿 Alright, growmies—this “Mystery Autoflower” is keeping me on my toes. The more I observe her, the more convinced I am that she’s no auto at all. At this point, there should be pistils everywhere... but nope, still no sign of preflowers. That’s definitely not typical for an autoflower this far in, and I’m starting to think I might’ve accidentally popped a Red Hot Cookies seed instead. 😅 Well… turns out my so-called "Mistery Autoflower Magic" from Sweet Seeds wasn’t quite what I thought she was. After week after week of no pistils and a stretch that just wouldn’t stop, I had my suspicions—and now it’s confirmed: She’s not an auto at all, but a photoperiodic Red Hot Cookies! 😅 Honestly, I’m not even mad. She’s been growing beautifully, showing strong structure and healthy vigor all along. She did stretch nicely over the past days, which had me thinking bloom was kicking in—but so far, it’s just veg vibes. Still, she’s looking healthy and happy, so I’m not complaining. 💧 Feeding Routine this Week: 🔸 BioBizz Grow, Bloom and Top Max 🔸 CalMag 🔸 Alg-a-Mic 🔸 Silica spray (every 3 days for strong leaves) 🔸 Homebrewed compost tea (2 days after feeding) 🔸 Effective Microorganisms (2 days after that) 🌡️ pH: 6.5 📈 EC: 1200 Let’s see what the next week brings—maybe she’s just fashionably late. Got some cal mag. My ph has been off and honestly these pots are huge and I’m back to work full time. It been hot and times been short so I’ve just been hiding these girls down when they get too dry. My well water is about 7.5. With some heavy rains I noticed it jumped up a bit close to 8. And some of the deficiencies on the leaves pointed to Calcium def due to high ph. Soooo order the cal mag and gave the whole crop a feeding. With PH’d water at 6.5 and 1tsp per gal and a 2 gallon water feedbing for the big mamas like my special queen here. Let’s see what this does. As I’m very new and this is my official first season. It’s all an experiment to me. I super appreciate all the advice I get here. I’m so glad I found this site. Everyone helps and points me in the right direction for better knowledge and learning. Some of my friends/family really enjoy watching this part of my garden grow and I’ve cloned some of this plant and the white og and gifted them. And am hopefully passing on some good advise for their first grow! Looks like 9/25 is when my sunlight will convert to 12/12 so I still have some veg time. This girl keeps out growing her space. “Gunna need a bigga boat”

2022-12-22 I love growing Solocups, Because you learn soooo much. If you manage that Grow, you can grow everything. This thime i ad alot of Medium ( around 0,5l), and for me it was quite easy to keep them happy. I was watering them every day with a " light" Feedingsolution. Plants stayed happy and turned out very well seems i forgot to take Pictures of the second Skull in a Plasticup- but yeah the Glassvessel ( Skull) is the Mainattraction

Nachts hin und wieder mal den Heizlüfter genutzt um auf 20grad zu heizten. Die Damen wurden die ersten Nächte im WG leider noch vom tv Licht der Eltern bestrahlt (hätte ich drauf kommen müssen hab’s einfach ausgebelendet), und so ist ein bisschen Stress aufgetreten in Form von verlangsamten Wachstum und manche Knollen weisen einzelne Samen auf, habe allerdings bis jetzt nur 5stk gefunden auf alle 4 pflanzen verteilt. Habe Wintergarten zum Haus hin mit Leinen abgehangen. Waren ca 3 Abende bis ca 12uhr bestrahlt. Das umschalten hat ca 7 tage gebraucht. Die Damen setzen jetzt alle samt die knollenstände zu!😇☮️

This thing has been an experience to grow lol.

On day 1 I transplanted 2 BB clones into 3 gal smart pots with coco coir. I watered them in with veg formula and set up my blumat watering system with week 1 flower nutes. I raised PPFD to 600-700. On day 2 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.4 to 6.0. The rez is 823 ppm. The tops are 16.5" from the grow light. The blumats have not started watering yet and I will monitor to ensure it goes smoothly. I have the blumats set at 1.25 carrots on left plant and 1 carrot on right plant. The average PPFD of my 16 tops is 703 PPFD. I increased temps to 85 day 81 night to get leaf surface around 80 f during day. On day 3 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. The rez is 782 ppm. The blumats have started watering and I will monitor closely over the next few days. On day 4 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.3 to 6.1. The rez is 717ppm. On day 5 the reservoirs PH is steady at 6.1. The rez is 706 ppm. The highest top is 15.25" from the light. I defoliated to bring in more air and light to deeper into the canopy. I increased the flow rate of blumat by .5 carrot on the right plant as it was a little to dry for my liking. The Clones are preforming well. On day 6 the reservoir PH is going down so I adjusted up from 6.0 to 6.2. The rez is 730 ppm. The highest cola is 14.75" from the light. The left plant had a runaway so I reduced blumat by 1 carrot. I increased flow of blumat on right plant by .5 carrot as it is still drier than I would like. On day 7 the reservoirs PH was adjusted from 6.3 to 6.0. The highest cola is 14.25". I reset rez with nutes.

Now it needs to dry and then i can test trim leawes and take weight before cure. hang dry in the middle of dark 60x60 tent w/semi good airflow. around 60% hum. After 4 days of hang drying nugs are feeling dry but stems are not yet snapping. Allmost ready for trim and cure. hum. has dropped to 55% Day 6 of drying desided to chop away the stems and branches to get the flowers sealed in bonnebag. timelapse of the trim added to gallery.

this strain is amazing!! I loved growing it, despite very slow growth and very small internodal spaces, it is very resistant to stress and topping!! it revealed itself in flowering with pretty compact buds, a smell of bugs (yes, bugs!!), with strong notes of grapefruit, gasoline... no waste in the taste!! I recommend, I will grow it again
