Week 2: Light Struggles, First Adjustments & the Patience Test Update: 14.03.25 Good morning, grow fam! Week 2 of my photoperiod journey is running – a mix of challenges and small wins. Here’s a look at the early days of my Blueberry and Durban Poison seedlings. Current Observations: Light Deficiency & Stretching Stems The first days post-germination were intense: The seedlings developed extremely long, thin stems (check the photos!), a clear sign of insufficient light. Since I’m intentionally avoiding extra lighting to save resources, I had to improvise: - Tray Rotation: I rotate the seedling tray multiple times a day to ensure even exposure to the weak March sunlight. - DIY Support: For the most stretched seedlings, a bent wire acts as a crutch to prevent them from collapsing. Interestingly, the tomato and cucumber plants in the same tray show no issues – their stems stay compact. Seems like veggies are better adapted to low-light conditions than cannabis! Nutrients & Alfa Boost: An Experiment Even though my Biobizz Lightmix should provide enough nutrients for the first weeks, I tested a sample of Alfa Boost (freebie from the grow shop) during watering. The product claims to boost roots and stress resistance – perfect for my light-stressed babies. So far, no negative reactions, but no explosive growth either. Slow Growth – No Cause for Concern The plants are growing just millimeters per day, but that’s okay. My focus is on building sturdy, resilient plants, not speed. Once days get longer and sunnier, growth should pick up. They’ll stay indoors until mid-May anyway – plenty of time to bulk up. Next Steps & Tweaks - Transplanting in 1–2 Weeks: Once the first true leaf pairs emerge, they’ll move to small pots with my Biobizz All-Mix blend. - First Topping Soon: Once the plants hit 4–5 nodes, I’ll top them to encourage bushier growth. Week 2 Takeaway: Patience is key! Even in suboptimal conditions, I trust Dutch Passion’s resilient genetics. Fingers crossed for greener progress next week. Our Ghost Train Haze automatic has started to flower, here the main lining didn't work well but it worked really well. It's a plant that responded very well to topping right away and you could see it growing at a fantastic rate. Here the topping was done at the third internode, mainfold and then we continue for another three internodes and topping again. You can decide to cut something along the way here there is really a lot of stuff that seems to be going very well. . Anyway you leave more or less everything that manages to see a decent amount of light enough to flower well. The plant is an exemplary one with a wide internodal distance I managed to work it very well, the appearance is truly impressive and the structure is really very very beautiful. Here we are at the moment of truth, the flowers are starting to form, our Ghost Train Haze reveals its sex and of course like all Zamnesia plants I will be the father of two beautiful females. One is growing straight but I will show it to you later because I have been focusing a lot on this one in main - lining. It is a plant with a wide internodal distance so we have more time to shape it before the woodification and it lends itself very well to late last interventions. I managed to open it on the main line very well and the lateral branches are really, growing and stretching properly. We will not see the super productive trees of the autumn harvest but I am willing to bet that we will have lots of beauty and lots of resin in beautiful bush-sized plants. Wait for the uncle BreadandBuds.... We are still using soil, feeding and all the recommended additives from Plagron 100% organic. We have moved on to the flowering start schedule that keeps the same Power Roots additives - Sugar Royal, Pure Zym and adds the flowering stimulant dear in my house for obvious reasons of Biscotti. Of course the basic fertilizer is now Alga Bloom. The Green Sensation when the flowers are already a bit swollen, do not start immediately. En la semana 13 de floración he retirado algunas de las hojas amarillas que se alojan entre los cogollos, que están muy compactos por cierto, y al haber pasado por una sobrefertilizacion las demas hojas se quiebran con facilidad por eso van a observar algunas hojas algo rotas, pero los cogollos están bien,, duros parecen rocas😅💪. Con respecto a los nutrientes los he reducido al mínimo. Según el banco son 17 semanas de floracion(estamos comenzando la semana14),asique ya falta poco, espero con ansias ese momento😅😅🤞🤞🚀🚀🚀😎😎😎

Hello guys, Here I am again to present you a new run, still with the best leds of the market nevertheless as I changed my growing space from 120x120 to 150x150. So I had to update the material inside... I will run with 3 EVO 5-150 lamps of 320W or 960W with Bluetooth dimmers. For the Hydro system, it will be the V-SYSTEM from Alienhydroponics. In fertilizers I am always with Advanced Nutrients. I work with osmosis water. Currently, 4 clones took on 4. Once the roots are ready, I will transfer the cuttings from the propagator to the V-SYSTEM. ------------------------ since the 16/08, when I transplanted the plants in the RDWC system, I noticed some points that I will mention below and correct next time. 1. The cuttings are too small, allow enough time so that I can completely fill my pots with clay balls. 2. Cut out the bottom of the pots from the cuttings. 3. 3/4 of the cuttings are touching the water, so one is late. Next time when transplanting, add more water, up to the basket in order to immerse all the plants and not to create a difference between each one, consequence now I have 3 that are ready to explode and one that will struggle behind, problem corrected today by increasing the volume of water. 4. The b-52 is a real pain in the ass in RDWC, you have to clean the 2 filters almost every day, with this new soup I'm testing without and I think I'll continue like this just with the base sensi grow A and B, as I use Root rot X, I won't use voodoo juice since all the bacteria would be killed. 5. Use of Voodoo Juice is useless if using Root Rot X which will kill the bacteria. I don't know why but when I transplanted in the RDWC, I put my set up in growth mode, except that the plants were not ready for it, moreover, I made a FIM on each. So I lost some days, these last days I went back to a ppdf of 150, now that my roots touch the water, I declare growth 0 on 22/08, I will do between 21 and 28 days of growth. And as my roots are doing well and touching the water I'll go to a PPFD of 300 ++

This week went well..no complaints on my end..as you can see the ladies are starting to produce bud..the stretch is pretty much over..for some reason Bruce banner # 1 didn't stretch as much. These past few days involved hours and hours inside the tent defoliating the girls..I didn't know how much more defoliating would be involved when Scrogging..but I know it'll be worth it at the end..just trying to have control over all the variables I can control for a successful harvest. Did a slight increase with liquid kool bloom from 10 ml to 15 ml per 5 gallons. Will keep an eye on how they respond..will keep yall updated in my next upload. Happy Growing 😎

This week they are all booming after continuous LST. The calmag issues went away after staying at 0.4 ec for a while. All new growth is looking good. Starting adding Cannazym to get rid of any dead roots that have been formed around the edges now. The time-lapse for this week is only for the last few days as I had some technical difficulties. Still feeding at around 0.7 ec total. Also added more fans this week to circulate the air better. Three run every 30 minutes for 3 minutes to blow out 100% of the dead air from the canopy. Another fan is blowing continuously. They start to increasingly smell now. Very strong yet subtle right now. Oh and in case anyone noticed: One of them was a mutant (very weirdly placed growing nodes and other unusual behaviour) so I had to throw her pre-emptively. The rest of the girls look ready to for the ride though!
