🇺🇸 Grow Journal – Week 12 | Pineapple Upside Down (Veg) Week 12 of veg — the Pineapple Upside Down is cruising steady and looking stronger than ever. I’ve been letting her just do her thing, focusing on recovery and structure before deciding if I’ll top her later. At this stage, it’s all about patience and letting her build up natural vigor. Nutrient-wise, still running the Athena Blended line, holding the mix at EC 1.4. I’ve been experimenting with Athena Balance, and I have to say — it’s impressive. My base water pH usually fluctuates between 6.3 and 6.8, depending on the day. I add 1 ml of Balance, which actually brings it up close to pH 9.3. Once the nutrients are mixed in, the solution drops back down to around pH 7–7.2, and from there I fine-tune it with a touch of pH Down to land right around 6.0–6.1. I allow a gentle drift down to 5.8, but whenever it hits that mark, I bump it back up slightly to keep things steady around 6.1–6.2. Honestly, Athena keeps the reservoir incredibly clean — crystal clear every time. It’s one of those small details that really makes a difference when you’re running hydro long-term. Temperatures are holding around 22–23°C, with humidity between 70 and 75%, which keeps the environment perfect for steady vegetative growth. She’s lush, healthy, and just waiting for her turn in the flower tent — if I had more space, she’d probably be flipping already. That’s about it for this week — nothing flashy, just solid progress and patience. Can’t wait to see how she performs once she hits flower. Added some CO2 to help with photosynthesis while at higher temps. These ladies really blew up at the end of last week and this week! The smell has really starting to be noticeable and pistols / flowers are finally showing! Side note I finally got more seeds to replace the one I lost early on. These ladies are really starting to become a treasure. Ended my LST this week.

Blütetage 50 Es wurde Anfang dieser Blütewoche noch einmal mit Dünger wie angegeben gedüngt. Ab Morgen (17.02) wird für 7-14 Tage nur noch mit pH angepassten Wasser gegossen. Die Ladys sehen noch sehr Vital aus. Es gibt aber bereits ca. 30% milchige trichome in den größeren blüten. Ich bevorzuge allerdings eher 30% Bernstein farbene. Es riecht sehr Fruchtig im Zelt und die Ausbeute wird zwar nicht außergewöhnliche, aber ausreichend denke ich. ☺️

Day 60F The PM on the cheese has gotten significantly worse in the last few days. I think it may have something to do with the constant humidity spikes every time I water. I haven’t been running my humidifier at all in flower so maybe it’s having trouble keeping the RH up during lights on. Just another reason to follow a daily watering schedule. The cheese and slurricane look fucking disgusting and I’m starting to doubt that a peroxide wash can totally fix it. It worked well for my outdoor crop so it should be fine but this time there is probably 3x the amount. I’ll make sure to really soak the buds and rinse them off good. Bbb#1 is flopping over like crazy from the weight. Too late to stake it up now so hopefully it holds until next week. Starting to foxtail a bit but nothing too bad. It is now 100% done and ready for chop. Bbb#2 is just getting frostier and frostier by the day. The purple fade is really coming along nicely too. Might reveg. It is now 100% done and ready for harvest. Black garlic #1 is finally filling out! I can’t believe it. Never heard of a plant packing weight on like that in week 8. The breeder did mention that it packs on weight later but I’m stunned. Taking her to 9.5 weeks. Black garlic #2 is looking very average. Average color, average size buds, average frost, average smell, probably an average yield. And it’s starting to get a bit of PM. Overall not happy. Will be taking her to 9.5 weeks. Zkittlez #1 has pleasantly surprised me. It was a bushy runt in veg but came through. It’s the third frostiest in the tent, super dense, stacked tight, smells great and looks great. It’s already got a nice amount of amber so it’s 100% ready for chop. Slurricane #4 looks insanely frosty even under all that PM. If I can’t wash it off it’s going in the trash. I want to chop this asap but have to cut everything at once unfortunately. It’s 100% ready for harvest. Badazz OG cheese is looking like a decent yielder but doesn’t have much else going for it. I think it still has some filling out to do. I can’t even smell the final profile change yet. The leaves are rotting off very quickly. Taking her 9.5 weeks. I don’t mind harvesting a bit later rather than early. From my outdoor experience, when a plant is picked early it smells like hay and wet grass clippings until it’s been curing for 3 weeks. When I harvest late or at 30-50% amber trichomes it smells like same scent profile it had when growing. Just my experience. I’ve read that the tobacco industry adds calcium and potassium carbonate to their crops to help promote fire holding capacity and to increase the whiteness of ash. Turns out some of the organic amendments I bought last week contain exactly that. I’m going to give each plant a light top dress to see if the tobacco industry is onto something.

day 49 just pure water phed down. it is day 51, morning before lights on, I might chop today. I use a zero water filter pitcher got off walmart. My humidifier is only a sonic wave. If you use regular tap water it will get gunky in a sonic humidifier. If you have a heat humidifier that boils the water the mist should be clean. These are the 2 types of water humidifiers. Researching best water filters this "zero water" also comes with a free ppm meter! yay! Other water pitcher brands; the water still has ppm. So water misted will still have ppm contamination. You can easily used distilled water only, and reverse osmosis. I just fill a 4gal office water jug with the pitcher and fill my humidifier when needed. I do not use a humidifier in my entire grow up to this point when I chop, I need the perfect rh or this whole effort can fail. growing up to this point only requires 20% effort, chopping now for the 2 weeks dry is this 80% of crucial determination, succeed. A lot of tasks are required today for a clean chop. I feel confident, observed my cross seeds with pink paradise and one with a slightly open caylex looks dark enough for successful germination. I figured 8-16 seeds may be created, 3-4 buds were potentially pollinated. Many growers don't understand when creating genetics with female/female there is a slight chance of herm. You lose 50% of your genetic function. Just water last 2 days, no humic no folvic, 1st time entire grow ha! There is a lot of cleaning to do, remove the trees, clean the entire tent and environment with bleach water, hacksaw. I am very proud of my grow. I have sampled 3 of the strains, dr. thunder legit made my lips numb but it could have just been the terps removing my skin cells from the sticky filter, no lie. This is my best grow to date. I did this for you, and to document hype or not under the best conditions I could give my plants, full max potential, although I wish I had more lights, I am not looking for industrial lol, this is how I grow. Learn a lot on youtube and podcasts there is many good content and I may dab into it. You can have a room full of growers and you have 1 seed in your hand, they will all tell you that their way is correct ;) and the best way. Oreo is stinky AF, Bridal is just amazing glad its massive, just not into sativa but the test seemed slight sativa with majority indica, pink untested, dr, thunder just a lip numming plant aha, its very nice, all 4 amazing appeal like advertised, and excited for next run. Either crosses from this or other copycat genetics. I will give you beautiful glamout shots today, the sizes of the plants, My guesstimate bridal 1lb, thunder 1lb, pink, 0.4lb, bridal 0.5, I am ambitious off 640w lm301h, and 4x 20w blurples daisy chained. day 51 4 chopped see you in a few weeks :D

Week 16 - 06/28 - 07/04 Light - 200 W HPS & 265 W LED Day Temperature - 78 F Night Temperature - 68 F Humidity - 40 +/-5 D59 Flower - Came home from vacation to some fat sugar coated buds! I flushed them with FloraKleen and molasses, this should be the last one before I snip down the main colas. Since they are close to harvest, I spent about an hour defoliating so harvest will go a little quicker. D60 Flower - So I pulled the ladies out to breathe, take pics, and to do a partial harvest. I cut the main colas off of all the plants and am allowing the lower bud sites to dense up. Until I harvest the lower part, here is the wet weight by plant: RG 1 - 177 g. RG 2 - 214 g. RG Clones - 88
