This week the time had come, the plants were chopped down. They were left to dry for almost exactly 7 days, a little too long as it turned out. One head bud had to be removed due to the risk of mold. All in all, the harvest turned out to be smaller, certainly also due to the fact that I could only grow three plants on 50x50cm in their vegetative stage to a limited size at the beginning.

Weekly update on this beast. It's still chugging along and getting prettier and prettier every day. I'd say she probably has about a week maybe two left. The flowers are covered in trichs and are sticky sticky. Smell like a sour candy.

she is fadeing into red/purple at the buds and sugar leafs while also completeley yellowing out because of nitrogen and a light bit of green is also here and there. love to look at her and the jucy buds. i think she might be done in about a week

End if week 5. A little tip burn but no problem. She is looking stacked and ready! No smell really. 100% rooted out this 2.5 gallon bucket.

1 - (03/14) Starting my new seeds, my other order for the Barney's never came in the mail. Must be "lost"... Decided to go get something semi locally. Picked up 2 strains and got the free Early Miss as well. Germination has started as of 03/13, paper towel transfer at 03/14 (approximately 16 hours later). Tent is sanitized and the new LED I'll be running is almost here. (Decided to wait on the full spectrum) Following guidelines as per Crop Kings recommendation for germination. We'll see in the next 48 how well they have developed under the paper towel. This plant will be grown alongside the Early Miss and quite possibly the GSC from Sun West Genetics as well. The GSC and EM will have separate diaries, so be sure to check those out as well! This grown will be done in the Indo 4*2*5 tent. Thank you to everyone that chimed in on my last failed grows, I look forward to some success after the excellent suggestions I received from everybody. Super excited! Happy growing! 2 - 03/16 - Looks like a good start to the germination. 48 hours after they were dumped from the glasses. Waiting for those t roots to get a bit bigger yet. 3 - 03/17 - 72 Hours later, forgot to get in the tent and remoisten the paper towels last night, just got up at 4am and they were pretty dry. Tap root looks to have lost some moisture, I'm just hoping I didn't already fuck them up this time. Shouldn't have drank so much on my 30th. Happy Saint Patrick's day to y'all! Hopefully they suck up some water and bounce back by midday. Going to put them in jiffys or rock cubes tomorrow. 4 - 03/18 - Planted in their first pots. Due to the nature of my last grow, I've decided to start the other 2 girls in a jiffy. Placed the jiffy into a smaller pot (approx. .25g?) That is filled with my Mo Koko, gia green organics 4-4-4 all purpose, 40% worm castings and a higher 60-70% perlite ratio. I plan on testing the runoff from the pots and the Early Miss is in a felt pot, so I figured it would be a great idea to accommodate for the additional moisture those felt ones hang onto. Probably going to uproot the EM tonight and transfer it to a jiffy as well then get it into a plastic pot. (Edit - decided against it) I'm going to run two 3 gallon pot sizes for both of my autos and eventually upsize to a 5 gallon for the GSC PP. Going to get some nicer domes today. Getting pumped. Almost through the germination process and onto Day 1 of Veg. 😎 Video update later today! 5 - 03/19 - All the girls are popping up out of the soil and should shed the seedling casings within 24hrs. Off to a much better start! The EM somehow came out, big surprise to see it. Not as pronounced as the other girls, but nonetheless. Stoked. Ended my day by them officially being in Veg Day 1. 6 - 03/20 - Well yesterday was officially day 1 of week 1 in Veg and as of this morning all 3 girls look great. Definitely feeling more confident this time through. 7 - 03/23 - Made some adjustments to the diary, measured the girls and corrected my Veg days. Moving forward, I'll do week to week updates on the girls and daily pictures of growth progress. 8 - 03/26 - Day 7 for all the girls. CC is definitely on the weakest link list. The EM has shocked me entirely. GSC is progressing as I figured she should. Today I am finally going to scoop my new light. So stoked 🙌 Girls get to go into week 2 with a heavy adjustment on their total wattage. I'll update later this evening with a photo update and video of the new light and the girls. Mid week is day 21 of flower. I'll do one more leaf strip in the next few days and then I should be done screwing around in the tent with these ladies. I'm extremely happy with how the canopy filled out. Just a couple of weeks ago I had to cull 3 of my 8 and that left a void. The last leaf strip is done. I also removed the trellis netting. I am unsure if this was a good idea or not. As far as I figure, My canopy did fill the 5'x5' but it doesn't any more. Now that the scrog net is down everything "stood tall". The reason I removed it is so I could make sure that 1. I could strip everything that I wanted/needed to before everything turns woody and fragile. 2. get to my plants to make sure that no Male flowers surfaced. I did consider putting it back in but then I though of harvest time, what if one in the back is ready before the one in the front, that is gonna suck to pull out. So I left the net out. My hypothesis is that as the buds start to gain weight, the weight will get the branches to come down and spread out again. If the weight seems like it may break limbs, at that point I will apply the scrog net as more of a trellis net that will be easily removed. It's weird, two nights ago I was dreaming that I was in a panic looking for plant yoyo's. I was dreaming that my kolas were so huge that they were snapping. LOL Hopefully it wasn't a dream and it was more of a vision. I have still been feeding by my pH range. I still haven't had to use any pH up or down in the last 18 days. I have noticed that flower isn't as forgiving as veg cycle. I do have one strain that is showing leaf tip burn so I have decided drop my EC enough to let my pH rise a bit more quickly. In the flower cycle the plants seem to be more finicky with their uptake. If It's too strong they leaf tip burn within a couple of days so if you need to make changes you can't tip toe like in veg. You need to aggressively get back into range because the plant isn't going to wait for you. It's clock is ticking and it's going with or without you. After my recent leaf strip, my humidity has been lower than ideal so I will probably be putting a humidifier in shortly. I have been using the dimmer to dim my lights to 75% but I would rather have them at 100. I am looking forward to what the next 5 weeks bring so I hope you all stay with to see how this turns out. I absolutely love to watch them grow! Especially that moment they hit their first growth spurt. I started with RO water that is remineralized for drinking purposes. The ppm is only 18! My tap is 156! So considering they don’t need much water, I’ve been stealing some of our drinking water. The RO water starts at pH of 7. After I add the nutrients, ppm of 249 @ pH of 5.8 while soil is still sweet @ pH of 7 I think my days are off as a new week begins on the last day of the previous week. I am going to leave that for consistency. 04/21 - Noticing some possible nutrient issues with the Fruity Pebbles for several days now. Going to see what she needs. Up front I’m thinking maybe just a super small amount of Amino Acids with a little Epsom Salt. Maybe she is struggling to access the nitrates from the neem cake. IF it’s a issues with nitrogen. We will see. Maybe she would benefit from some extra calcium?… Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Day 22 and I am noticing how these girls have been burning up a lot of potassium lately, dealing with the wind and sun 💨 ☀️, getting pushed around all day. I plant to top dress with some Kelp Meal pretty soon. Day 24 -> 4/22/22- a quote from the weather on today’s red flag warning and dust storm warning. “ HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60 mph. SOURCE...Satellite imagery. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.” I’m keeping the girls inside today. Day 26, I was planning to check the runoff on some of these girls, especially the fruity pebbles, however I messed that up as I also top dressed WAY too much of the seaweed bliss. So I flushed with plain RO water at pH of 7 until there was only slight coloration in the runoff. I didn’t check the runoff as a lot has changed with all that flushing. So next watering/feeding I will make sure I check the runoff on multiple plants. So the seaweed bliss with its 17 on potassium, seems to be the most likely culprit for why there is a bronze-ish color on the inside of the new growth. Hopefully a foliar feed of Epsom salts can correct the problem. Inside tent, lights on LOW. Noticing similar pattern in all of them to a degree, most noticeable in the fruity pebbles.

This week marks the end of Week 10, and Do-Si-Dos Auto is deep into her final ripening phase. Trichomes have shifted to mostly cloudy with a few ambers starting to show, signaling the early harvest window. Her fade is well underway with noticeable yellowing and some purpling on the fan leaves and bracts — all expected at this stage. She experienced one dryback early in the week that caused temporary leaf droop, but she perked back up quickly after a good watering. Temperatures peaked at 86°F with humidity holding around 45%, keeping the environment within range. Buds are dense, frosty, and continuing to swell. On the final night of Week 10, she was watered with Cal-Mag (1 ml/gal) and the auto-watering base was refilled. Harvest is likely coming within the next week depending on trichome development.

Plants growing slowly, having a problem with mold and I went and got hydrogen peroxide and that seems to control the area of it when sprayed.
