Beginning of week.. This is the last and final week for sure for sure lol.. That makes 10 weeks from 12/12.. And by the trichomes they should both be prefect!.. With the Mandarin Cookiea having just a tad bit more amber than the ETHOS Cookies.. They both should have plenty.. This week may be cut a day short.. Because the only day I can find time to harvest will be the day before the next week starts.. The last day of the week (end of week).. And I want to go ahead and try the 48 hours of darkness thing once more.. To see if it may have any effect.. I guess if alot of people already do it.. What can it hurt??.. Anyways.. Still just giving rainwater.. Lately it has gone down on the PPM side.. Niceeee.. I was going to get some distilled and run it through (0 - 10 PPM) but the rainwater is at 15 - 17 PPM.. That's close enough for me.. Maybe still run a gallon of distilled the day before I begin the 48 hours of darkness thing-a-ma-doodle lol.. Today.. This is what happened... Going in: 17 PPM at 6.9 pH for both.. Run off: Mandarin Cookies was 100 PPM at 5.9 pH and the ETHOS Cookies was 54 PPM at 6.0 pH.. I think the Mandarin Cookies needs to be flushed a bit more before I feel comfortable with the flushing.. I believe its fine to not flush for a whole 2 weeks at 0 PPM or whatever.. But I do like to get it down pretty low by harvest time.. But I think everything will be fine.. Just gotta make sure I dont fuck up the drying 😬😬😬 Mid week.. Almost there!!! So excited! Can't wait! Got both runoffs at 50 PPM.. Just been watering as usual.. Both of these strains are going to be epic af! I think tomorrow will be the last day of lights on.. Going to begin the pre-harvest dark period to hopefully increase trichome/thc production or whatever it does 😂😂😂 if this bud ends up better than anything I've ever grown then I will do it every grow!.. But we shall see!!! End of week.. No pics this update.. They are both bathing in complete darkness for a couple days then CHOP!... Haven't even peaked at them.. They both should be on point! So happy for this to be just days away from going into jars!!! I've already cut a small branch from the Mandarin Cookies and dried it for 5 days.. A little faster then I wanted.. But wow.. It tasted immaculate.. I removed every leaf I could.. Leaving just the calyxes.. No chlorophyll.. Not really enough to get a buzz from.. Plus that was like 2 weeks ago.. So it was still too early for any decent amounts of THC.. But the taste is delicious af!.. I will take some pics before the chop and post them for the "end of this week" since it is going to be a day early anyway.. End of week.. Nvm lol.. Took some pics before harvesting and here they are! Even a sneak peak at the drying in the tent.. May be awhile till I post the harvest.. Want to make sure I give the best review on these ladies as I can! Hells yeah!!! So dank!

Week 6 of flower! Have seen some lovely bud production, up to now. Plants are super frosty already, possibly the frostiest I've grown upto now. Buds are super sticky to the touch, terpenes taking me back a few years to when I use to see this strain around alot.

Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. The lemon pie has sum stuff going on not sure if I under-watered her a little bit I did wait 4 days to water that one but I thought the soil was still good until I picked it up and it was light as a feather so I gave a cup of Ayer maybe a littler more and had I slight VPD problem I think it was 84 with like 50% humidity I added a second fan today it bounced up to 65% at 82 degrees! Please help am I over thinking or is this something bigger

To explain my germination method which is a combination of experiences acquired in the field and readings of the right advisors, I have chosen to divide it into phases so whoever wants can follow them and understand better step by step. - Preparatory Phase ---- Check the average temperature in the room, humidity status to understand if it is the case to start or wait, I decided for the end of August because the temperatures start to drop towards the 22-25 degrees recommended for germination. Then another thing more or less credible depending on the sensitivity is the control of the lunar phases. I believe in it a lot, it is a method that ancient farmers used to understand when it was best to plant depending on the attraction of the moon. To make my life easier I use a simple app that advises you on the right time to plant, harvest and put in the jar (depending on the lunar phases). - Phase 1 --- Soaking in water. There are many authoritative friends who advise against this method due to the risk of drowning, but I have always been fine and I follow the rule if it opens in water the seed is almost certainly healthy and will come out of the ground 90% normally. - Phase 2 --- Opening the seed in water. As soon as the seed opens and the root comes out a little, you have to be very very careful not to leave the seed in the water open for too long. This is why there is a risk of drowning. So as soon as the root comes out, it must be planted. Do not wait for it to stretch out a lot, you can wait a little longer in the absorbent paper, but not in water. - Phase 3 --- In the meantime, while I soaked the seeds, I prepared my pots: I use small biodegradable pots (choose the ones with holes underneath for drainage). A few hours before working with the opened seeds, I moistened the soil with water adjusted to the right pH (5.8 - 6.2) and Plagron Power Roots. The small root is now open and we can make a little hole with a toothpick, widen it and insert the seed. Not too deep with the root facing downwards. From Serious Seeds we learned the dome technique: if you put a small dome of soil on the seed the water will settle on the sides avoiding overwatering problems. - Phase 4 --- The plant emerges from the soil. So far I have not put the light, now I turn it on at minimum after half a day of soil to give direction to the seedlings. The first week the light will be gradually brought from 40% to 60% to go to 70% - 75% in the remaining weeks of veg. During the first week maximum, I keep the cycle of 24 hours to avoid stretching. Buenos días familia, de nuevo os traigo esta esta 5 semana de floración de nuestras green ak xL de zambezaseeds. Una está algo bloqueada y no quiere comer nutrientes la otra ya va mejor y si come. Ph controlado temperatura y humedad dentro de los parámetros establecidos. Una cepa bastante difícil de dominar muy sensible a los cambios, pero que seguro bien cultivada dará todo de sí, xL su nombre lo dice.

Week 8 has gone well and she is chugging along. She is still putting out new pistils with some turning orange. Calyx's are growing longer and buds are still soft. I'm thinking a min of 10 weeks flowering for her. I removed some leaves on inner canopy to bring some air and light deeper. She is so bushy its hard to even defoliate maybe next time i will remove some more lateral branches... afterremoving the leaves I must have come incontact with a pollen sack as where I defoliated all seemed to be polinated over night and are making seeds :( I will cut my losses and harvest while seeds are still small.

This was the last week of flowering and therefore I stopped giving any nutrients for a good FLUSH. This is very important in order to avoid a harsh smoke later when the plants are dried, because any nutrients left in the plant will burn your throat and the weed will hurt while you smoke it. Both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants have developed well and carry hefty top buds on each side branch and also the main cola. The lower regions also carry buds, but those are a little more fluffy and not so big and dense as the top buds. Every bud is COVERED IN TRICHOMES and the plants glisten in the light, they are FROSTY AS HELL! The plants have a STRONG AROMA now, which is sweet and peachy with hints of sandalwood. They smell ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and I cant wait to try the dried end-product. All in all I can only recommend this strain, its not the biggest yielder, but definitely delivers connoisseur grade weed. Hats off to Mat from House of the Great Gardener in Canada, he has made another GREAT cross and I hope he will release this variety soon! 👍😍😎

The first site im recording will be a clone,it is on back side of plant and will not produce. #2,#3,#4 pics,#2 is stripped of leaves at about 12 inches. 06/16/18 #4 is showing pre-flowers,#2,#3, no sign yet. #1 check in the morning. 06/19/2018 Still no pre -flowers on #1,#2,#3, #4 however is female so I Fimmed her to encourage side shoots to grow biggest of wider canopy. #1 reacting well to supercropping 20 tops as of today. Praying she is female🙏🙏. She is a stretchy girl in flower 2 to 3 x her vegged height so trying to be low profile as possible.👍

She's starting to fatten up nicely! Terps still off the meter,and the roots are ridiculous. Definitely one of the best plants I've ever grown.
