Hi everyone! I leave my previous diary open so that anyone can see my mistakes and not commit them or just want to have a good start ;) The set up is a 40x40x120 cabinet, with a handmade 20 liter DWC system , 60 Liter air pump, 15 cm fan and a VKO1 125 extractor. The lamp is an Optic 1 Grow led light of 54 W with a umol / watt of 2.15 equivalent to 150 W in HPS. The whole set doesnt exceed 100 watts I have put the rock wool in water with pH 4.6 When it stabilizes in 5.5-5.7 I will introduce the seed and put it under the lamp. 36 hours ago I put the seed between two wet towels, it has broken the shell and pokes the tip of the root, I guess between tonight and tomorrow I'll put it in her final pot Germination Day 1. It has stabilized the pH of the rock wool in 5.7 I add water to the pot with 5.6 pH and 45 ppm (My water E.c) and using this water I have drip irrigated rock wool and clay balls. Germination Day 2. Nothing special. pH has risen to 5.8 i'll measure tomorrow and see if is necessary to adjust the pH. Germination Day 3. She already appears above the rock wool, I havent had time to take pictures or measure the p.H Germination Day 4. She has stretched a little, but not drop the shell yet. Looks pretty well, she is two day faster than the Auto Mandarina from earlier diari. :) I turn on the air pump for more humidity and added more light schedule 20/4 I've adjusted the pH to 5.7 (was in 6.1 today, has risen 0.4 in 4 days...0.1 by day that's good if i want to go away for few days) and dropped some of these water to the rock wool and the clay balls. Inside the dome, the humidity rise to 73% max and 50% min. The temperature has not risen inside. Day 1. As a personal experiment, I put the seed that I had as backup between two towels in rock wool, the plant that be better in a week will stay in the final pot. I adjusted to 5.5 and dropped in the rock wool. Day 3. A day away from home and the truth is that you notice the growth of both. I have observed the roots of each one and to my surprise, the root of the little one had come out of the rock wool at least 3 cm more than that of her older sister, so I decided to put it in the final pot and keep the dome for moisture. I have started with a small dose of fertilizer, 150 ppm. And pH to 5.6 let's see how it goes like this. I rised the lamp for a little stretching. I let the other one as a backup. Day 4. The root of the little girl already appears below the pot. To my surprise, the pH has risen a lot since yesterday that I adjusted it to 5.6, it was at 6.3 :o I adjust again to 5.6. Day 5. They seem healthy and grow well. The little girl has developed the root around a centimeter from yesterday to today, I think it is a pretty good growth, however the vertical growth doesnt seem so accelerated ...😌 pH at 6.75, dont need adjust it, i'll wait to tomorrow.

Day 9. Incredible growth in 4 days! the growth of the root is incredible, it reaches at least 25 cm. I change the water in the tank and raise the ppm to 210 and adjust the pH to 5.7 (In these four days it had gone up to 5.95). Raised the lamp more for more stretching :) Day 10. Adjust pH to 5.7 (it was rised to 6.2 i dont know why...) She looks healthy :D Day 14. The plant grows quite well and fast. But since day 12 a brown spot has appeared on one of the leaves of the first node, spreading little by little. Because of the symptoms, I think it's septoria, so I've sprayed neem oil to see how it works for her. Someone knows what can it be? I change the water in the tank and adjust the ppm to 150 and pH to 5.8

Why neem oil u have no bugs and those leaves are nothing your ph will always do this in the beginning untill your rootball getts bigger and takes up more oxygen the more air in your water the more your ph will be all over i would use a smaller stone for now you dont need a big one yet this will help your ph issue once your root ball starts the real growth up to a bigger stone make sure you have calmag its a plus CALMAG 👍👍👍✍️✍️✍️✍️

Day 15. I dont know why, but every time I renew the water in the tank and adjust the pH to 5.7 for example, the next day it has risen to 6.2, I adjust the pH back to 5.7 and it is already regulated for the following days... The problem that appears at the end of week 2 seems to have stopped and the plant looks green and healthy. You can appreciate the daily growth. I have lowered the lamp to 55 cm. The next water change I will raise the ppm to 200. Day 18. pH at 5.75 dont need to adjust. Day 19. pH at 5.7 It seems that there are already signs of preflor. Note: the curve of some leaves is due to the collision with the pot. Day 21. pH drops to 5.6 (in theory it should go up ... not to go down) I want to wait until Tuesday to get CALMAG to change the tank water again (I changed it on day 16) I start the LST today! I think it has been a good week, the development of the roots has been better than I expected and the pH fluctuations seem to no longer harm her so much ... hope that the following weeks will develop without problems.

Day 23. I finally received Cal Mag. I change the water in the tank, I adjust the ppm to 280 (I have decided to give it a little more power, I believe that in the phase that she is able to support it, and pH adjusted to 5.8 (a few hours later went up to 6.3, and adjusted at 5.8)) I adjust the LST, it seems to respond well, although the pH fluctuations continue to climb very slowly, although I dont think I should worry too much. Day 24. pH rised to 6.2, adjusted at 5.8 Day 25. cleared first node andas defolation 2nd node fan leaves Day 26. defolation of fan leaves of 3rd and 4th node. I'll wait until the branches will be more longer for start the LST with them. I upload the ppm to 550 to see how it feels Day 27. pH at 5.8. adjust the LST on the stem and start some LST. Day 28. End of week 4. I need to readjust the LST, the growth is pretty good, it seems that she has responded well to the rise of nutes. Lamp at 40 cm. pH at 5.9 does not need to be adjusted. In short, the week has been quite good, despite having noticed signs of pH fluctuations or phosphorus deficiency (I think it is the second). The flowering begins: D

How do you know or choose the right Ec for each phase of the plant? or how much to raise it in each irrigation? My range is usually from 0.2 to 1.2 ... it depends on the strain. Do you think it is more important to know the strain than to follow a table of nutes? Thank you!

It is something you dial for your own system. More light power will result in plants that need more nutrients to power a more aggressive growth and so my schedule might not work for you. It requires a bit of experimentation on your part. It is more important to learn to read the plant. I try to keep the EC as low as I can and only up it when I spot some deficiency. As for how much to up it each step, usually I rise it no more than 20% at a time.

Day 29. I adjust the LST to form the canopy. pH at 5.8 Day 30. It's not necessary to adjust anything, just a little the main stem. pH at 5.7. Growing well :D Day 32. I change the water in the tank, I go from the vegetative table to the flowering stage, keeping the same Ec pH to 5.9. I make some small adjustments to the LST and remove a few fan leaves. Day 35. Growth is pretty good. The pH drops about 0.5 by day, the plant drinks about 1 liter a day, (I think this is due to the decrease in pH). First defoliation. In general, the week has been good. Now I have to deal with the daily pH drops I think caused by the water intake of the plant. Possibly one more week of stretching remains, Auto Mandarina is 70% sativa 30% indica, so an Indica dominance would be better for my set up.

Day 43. Change the dose of nutes to medium flowering, I consider that the stretch period is no longer so remarkable. I also add 10 ml of Plagron's Green Sensation. I raise the ppm to 700, I think I will keep this level until the flush. pH at 5.9 She is full of trichomes, is very sticky and every day increases her smell. Not much to say about this week. I realized that using Green Sensation and increasing the water level of the reservoir maintains a more stable pH, I only dedicate myself to pouring 0.75 liters with water pH 7 each time it drops from 5.8 You can see that the buds start to get fatter little by little ... I hope that it forms some tight ones 😁

Day 58. Apparently the plant has a bit of excess Nitrogen, so I changed the fertilizer in the reservoir, removing CalMag I have lowered the levels and N, because CalMag has 4-0-0. Lowering the ppm to 650 (before 750). Thank you for the advice @SeedLover 😁 I also start to try the new microscope that has arrived today. :D Let's see how it progresses!

Day 67. Finally I have decided to harvest a part of the plant first and let the other one mature a few more days. Because i left the other part of the plant maturing I cant use the cabinet to dry her. So I had to make room in my closet. Humidity is 45-55% and I have added a small PC fan to move the air a little ... the last time I dried there it took at least 10 days. I'm happy with the result to be my first minigrow. The development of the plant has gone well despite my screw-ups and has given a lot of buds, I hoped they would have been a little more dense, but it was my fault to subject the plant to an excess of nitrogen. Let's see how the second cut is going, I hope they get more fat :D 1st cut weight wet: 110 gr. Minigrow 2.0 will be much better!

Hello everyone, some general questions...When you harvest, do you cut the whole plant? or depends on maturity, first cut one half and then the other? At the time of drying...what do you think is better: hanging the whole plant (having manicured before) or hanging the branches? ty

You can cut the whole plant or do partial harvests. The lower buds won't be as mature as the top ones so harvesting all at once can get you 2 slightly different highs based on whether you smoke the top or bottom buds. As far as how to dry it and whether to wet or dry trim depends on your environment. If where you dry is going to be really dry(25%-30% RH) then I would 100% do a dry trim that way it allows the plant to dry slower. If it is more humid (50%-55% RH) then I would do a dry trim. As far as how to hang it, that doesn't matter too much. I usually just separate all the branches and hang them at the top of my tent. The goal is to get a nice slow dry that takes 7-10 days for the buds to reach ~60% humidity.

Tomorrow i will cut the whole plant, and waiting nervously the next run. 1st cut: 110 gr wet ---> 32 gr after 6 days drying and already put in jars. I think I will finally have a yield of g/w something more maybe...I'm impatient to taste her.. few days more in jars...
