The stretch has finally stopped, thank goodness, and they are starting to put on a little density. I lollipopped them thinking they would would reach a little more than double where they started, about 26 inches, but they blew right past that and are sitting at 31 inches for the tallest branches. Going to end up with a little fluff, but that's OK, i'll make some strong olive oil out of it. The light is about 9 inches from the tallest branches, but they are all to the outside edge and will be fine. Main buds in the center are at about 13 inches and even the lower buds are a max of 18 which is still a great position. As long as I can keep the light penetrating to the lower buds they should turn out fine. I started at ROCK resinator this week and am pulling back on Canna Part A; after week 6 I will stop it completely and just use the CalMag, Part B, Boost and ROCK. Week 7 and 8 and I will Mendicino Avalanche again, I have always had good results with that. No signs of color yet on the RHC but breeder notes say it comes the last weeks of flower. Its going to start getting colder during the day so I am hoping night time temps in the high 60s and daytime temps staying below 75 will bring out some color regardless. I put a plant outside as a throw away to see what happens and wouldn't ya know it, that fucker is turning purple lol. Hoping they start to bulk up in the coming week.

German version below. This week was all about training for The Tropical Ice Cream One. After having great success with a second SCROG net on our Permanent Marker, we decided to use the same approach for this grow. We picked up a new SCROG system at Mary Jane, and this week it finally got its first real job. Setting up the net was the easy part. The real work started afterwards. Branch by branch, we carefully tucked every shoot into the second net and repositioned it. Our goal was to create an even canopy so every future bud site receives as much light as possible and can develop to its full potential. It took several hours of patience, but the result was definitely worth the effort. The height difference across the entire canopy is currently only 2 centimeters. That is exactly what we aim for when building an even SCROG canopy. Now it is time to keep our hands off and let her do the rest. She handled the training exceptionally well and can now settle into her new shape over the next few days. We are excited to see how the second SCROG net will influence flower development and yield during the coming weeks. Auf der Mary Jane haben wir uns dafür ein neues SCROG System gegönnt, das nun endlich zum Einsatz kam.Der Aufbau war schnell erledigt, die eigentliche Arbeit begann aber erst danach. Trieb für Trieb wurde vorsichtig in das zweite Netz eingefädelt und neu ausgerichtet. Ziel war es, eine möglichst gleichmäßige Verteilung der zukünftigen Blüten zu erreichen, damit jede ausreichend Licht bekommt und sich optimal entwickeln kann.Das hat einige Stunden Geduld gekostet, aber das Ergebnis spricht für sich. Der Höhenunterschied über die gesamte Zeltfläche beträgt aktuell gerade einmal zwei Zentimeter. Genau so stellen wir uns ein gleichmäßig trainiertes Blütendach vor. Jetzt heißt es erstmal Finger weg und wachsen lassen. Die Pflanze hat das Training hervorragend mitgemacht und darf sich in den nächsten Tagen in ihrer neuen Form entfalten. Wir sind gespannt, wie sich das zusätzliche SCROG Netz in den kommenden Blütewochen auf Ertrag und Blütenentwicklung auswirken wird. Nach dem Stress des Trainings hat sie eine extra Portion Bio Heaven und Activera als kleines "Leckerlie" bekommen. 😁

My Skunk Apple plant's a little behind the others. I think it started flowering a couple weeks later. It's a smaller plant, but it's finally starting to fill out. I'm guessing I've got maybe two weeks left before it's ready to chop. The past week has been awesome for drying my plants. The weather's been perfect – nice and dry, with just enough breeze to keep things moving. I finally got around to chopping down those two big plants I've been meaning to trim. They're almost ready, just need a little more time to dry out completely. I can't wait to see how they turned out.

Ну вот и закончился наш короткий путь выращивания сатива-доминантного сорта. К сожалению, размер бокса не позволил полноценно включить лампу, так как растение сильно вытянулось и стало получать световые ожоги, плюс еще сыграл недостаток кальция. Изначально хотел 8 больших, толстых и симметричных колл, но пришлось гнуть дополнительно. На фотографии видно, что все ветки закручены по спирали - это пытался решить проблему сильно низкого освещения. Давно не растил сативный сорт и забыл, что в начале цветения растение ну очень сильно вытягивается. В итоге, из-за LST во время цветения, нижние этажи тоже вытянулись и вместо 8 колл получилось в 3 раза больше. Все-таки мне мой метод больше нравится, чем ML, так как времени уходить меньше, стресса меньше, а результат такой же. Снял 607 грамм больших веток и около 100 грам всякой мелочевки. Немножечко пересушил. Так бы вышло грамм 200 чистых шишек. Придется чуток их увлажнить. Вцелом очень доволен собой и результатом. Спасибо что заглянули и порадовались вместе со мной.

Wow what a week this has been, the plants have all undergone fair dramatic changes. A real flurry of leaf yellowing, pistil darkening/curling, and bug swelling. The smell is really coming along now, I think we're really quite close to harvest. On the assumption that pre-flowering was two weeks, this strain should be ready at the end of week seven flowering, so in the case of this diary the end of week nine (i.e. one week to go!). Pistils are about 70-80% amber, and the lower pistils on buds have started curling inward. Trichomes look to me to be something like 10% clear 80% Milky 10% White. I have smoke tested a small bud off the lower part of plant 3 today after quick-drying overnight in the airing cupboard, taking into consideration the obvious chlorophyll from the fast dry, the high was much closer to what I am expecting than the last smoke test. It came on at the normal pace, was quite effective, and lasted a good while. I am really hoping I can navigate my way through the next process, as I feel quite close now to having some home grown bud for the first time. The plants are being well watered this evening with just water, and this will be the last time that I water them until harvest. I will continue to monitor these daily, I intend to harvest at the first sign of any amber trichome. Advice and comments welcomed. P.S. Exciting news!
