Big girls dont cry did a bit of defoliation today on them, after taking the pics

This adventure started with a friend’s gift and without any bigger efforts I’m able to keep this lady growing, pretty and hopefully, she will give me a good return. Currently the started the flowering stage, the plant is placed near my kitchen window with a 200W led light and recently a small fan and some nutrients. Hope I can get some useful comments considering my lower expertise.

FW3 10/25/24.

Girls are starting to flower, we’re on a 12/12 light schedule now, I let the girls dry out at the beginning of the week. I’ve been watering them with 1/2 gal per day per 5 gal pot. Will start checking soil and weight twice a day now that they are flowering

The two main events this week: Defoliation and training. The lady seems to take it well. Apparently the nuts I use have a rather low amount of Phosphorus... I had the same problem in my last grow (dark leaves, slow bud development)... unfortunately that time I didn't get what was happening. So I started giving them "Bud Explosion" now, 2ml/l, which basically contains a mix of Phosphorus and Potassium, and the improvement was almost instantly noticeable! I'm thinking she gets 4-5 more days to recover in veg. then I flip her.

Well, these girls are well on their way into bloom. They are really stacking it on since the addition of the worm castings. I strongly suggest everyone use worm castings in your soil mixes, even if you are using salt-based nutrients.

In all this was a terrible harvest, and because I also do videos for my YouTube channel I don't update on Grow diaries properly which I will start doing with future grows.... Well on my next harvest will definitely do a better job of documenting my harvest details. But in regards to the Dark Phoenix, yeah not a strain I'm a fan off. At first I kept telling myself that I done a terrible job that's why i don't like it... But I need to keep in mind that I'm not going to like all strains, all strains are different and we all have different preferences. Some people might like the Dark Phoenix, me personally I'm not a fan. It has that earthy taste to it... Hashy/kushy...... Smoking it as I'm typing that's why 😅 and even with a longer cure I doubt it would make much of a difference to make me like it. But in all still a nice smoke, good high from her, the high hits you straight away and keeps you active and creative.... Don't know what else to say about her really, just trying to give you guys the best most accurate review that I can without bringing my own personal thoughts about the strain. I might not like it but its still a good smoke. 👍🏾😎

D54 - She is growing just fine. However it is a bit slower than my previous growth, and I think that this strain might grow a bit slower. I keep plucking one pair of stems and leaving the next one. I also LST new growing stems. Beast - Cats are rally attracted to this plant and mine is always asking for it.

Things are starting to turn around. The girls are looking much better overall. Starting to see some nice color and growth. I've beed watering mostly with plain ph'ed water. But I've also started adding a little Cal-Mag (from Symbys) and Recharge once per week. The new Blackberry seed popped a couple of days ago, I'm still waiting for the new DianaMed and Cherry seeds to pop, hopefully they will pop in the next day or two.

Very good autoflower strain,this strain is the safe option if you don’t know how to grow.

Lots of growth through days 17 to 21. I consider day one at time of sprout. Tops height was 5.20" on day 19.. prior to applying LST. Height is no longer relevant when using LST. I'm hoping for height after I LST the plant around the bowl of the 5 gallon pot, just before bloom. Considering this is an Amnesia XXL auto strain that runs around 10-12 weeks, I am hoping for a longer vegetative period to allow for more vertical growth. Lights moved to a distance of 22" from tops on Day 19, after LST. Day 18-19 HST/LST Height 3" Day 20 a topping and pruned approximately 7 leaves Day 21 lights moved back to 18" Day 21 Height 4.25" Water PH 5.85-6.2 through Week 3

This plant has been eating a ton, we feed with every watering now and there's been no protest..if fact we may increase due to light shade. The FC-E6500 is an absolute beast of a light, I'm so happy my husband finally made the purchase for us..with lower power consumption and higher yields; this light will pay for itself shortly. We've been talking about also getting a 5x5 so we can utilize its full light footprint... ..You might notice a cheap "blurple" LED hanging from the scrog table,we hung it there to add some weight. If its not clear to tell from the photos, this plant is completely overgrown, we definitely let this go for far too long but I'm excited to see what kind of yield we'll get (this is our highest yielding strain by far).. I would be shocked by anything less than 1lb.. We've had the FC-E6500 at 50-75% for the first 2 weeks of flower, we're leery on distance still and didn't want to chance burning but with no signs of stress we decided to move it up to 100% today and we'll monitor colesly for a few days.. Whorled Phyllotaxy is the arrangement of leaves on a plant stem, three in this case. I never noted it until the buds started to form in threes on the stem instead of twos on just opposite sides. Plant also has 11 finger leafs that are ginormous I hack them off every other day. bud sides are forming well faster than I expected HPS in veg was a good option to keep the plant short and bushy.

Yesterday I discovered that, in order to change my timer, I didn't put the clock back onto it. Now they had 3 hours more light on the third day of flowering. Exactly the kind of oopsies this grow really doesn't need. But it happened and all back on a normal schedule, but I hope the OHS en GG4 aren't affected by it too much... One accidental re-vegging is more than enough for a year. Also, these sensitive strains can hermie on me for lesser reasons so from now on I'll be checking for male signs daily. The XTraKush is performing as advertised, with enormous stretch, these plants can go 10 ft up according to the breeder. So I'm tying them down and managing this to fill out the space. With all the stuff going on, this 'underdog' strain might even prove most resilient, when all is said and done. They seem to respond really well to the SP-3000 light and If you are in the market for a new light, consider this option from Mars Hydro. i was surprised that she was done on 2/15/25 spidermites had completely taken over one bud so i decided to check trichomes and she seemed ready.

Arrancó la floración. Las plantas se fueron bastante arriba, así que estas dos semanas voy a estar aplicando lst para manejar la altura y no estresar a las plantas en floración. Es una variedad de floración rápida y 90% indica, por lo que no espero un estirón muy fuerte. Por el momento elegí usar EMRO desde el principio, dado que la reacción de las plantas fue mejor que al bioestimulante en las aplicaciones foliares. El presupuesto no me dio para delta9 esta vez. Pero la próxima espero que si. De todos modos le tengo mucha fé a la combinación de los dos productos usados. Estaré actualizando. Es el 5to día de flora y las plantas vienen mostrando un estiramiento medido. Por suerte tengo lugar para manejar la altura. Pero aún así voy a tener que agrandar el depósito ya que cada 2 días debo agregar agua. 18 litros no son suficientes para este tamaño de plantas. Pero voy contento con los resultados. El bioestimulante que usé no es muy bueno. He visto mejores reacciones con delta 9. Día 7. Tuve que usar LST obligado para intentar poner las plantas a la misma altura. Al final la pequeña de atrás no prosperó demasiado, así que va a quedar ahí y sea lo que sea. Por el momento las yemas no se muestran tanto, pero eso es la falta de un bioestimulante de calidad. De todos modos por el momento los resultados son buenos y las plantas están fuertes y sanas. Ya estan a 20cm de las luces y voy a tratar de mantenerlas ahí o como muy cerca a 15cm. Mañana cambio el depósito y repetiremos las fórmulas con un poco menos de EMRO.
