🌸 BlueBerry – Week 6 Flower Report Grower’s Journal | Zamnesia BlueBerry ⸻ 🌱 The Girls This Week Both BlueBerry ladies are now true queens, stretching big, stacking huge colas, and getting so heavy that yo-yos are holding them up. Without support, branches would fall under their own weight, which is a good sign of strong flower density but also a reminder of the importance of plant training. The frost continues to thicken, and the trichomes look spectacular up close, sparkling in photos and videos like tiny glass forests. ⸻ ⚠️ Trouble in Paradise – Bud Rot But with big flowers also come risks. This week, Bud Rot (Botrytis cinerea) showed up on BlueBerry #2. • Conditions: High humidity (65%+, sometimes higher) combined with dense flowers created the perfect environment for rot. • Detection: Early spotting saved the plant. We caught it in time before it spread too far, but it still left its mark. • Action Taken: • Carefully removed every infected area. • Isolated affected material to prevent spores spreading. • Improved airflow around the canopy by moving plants and adjusting fans. 👉 For anyone learning, here’s a great educational read by Zamnesia: Bud Rot Grower’s Guide. https://www.zamnesia.com/grow-weed/563-bud-rot-cannabis-grower-guide ⸻ 🌿 Bud Rot – What It Is & How to Prevent It Bud Rot is caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea. It thrives in humid, poorly ventilated conditions, especially inside large dense colas where moisture can hide. How to prevent: • Keep humidity lower during flower (ideally 40–50%). • Maintain constant airflow across and through the canopy. • Defoliate strategically to open airflow inside dense plants. • Avoid watering late in the cycle to reduce night-time moisture. What to do if it appears: • Act quickly. Remove all affected buds immediately. • Sterilize scissors/tools between cuts to avoid spreading spores. • Keep monitoring daily — once it appears, it can spread fast. Bud Rot is every grower’s nightmare, but also one of the most important lessons in environmental balance. ⸻ 💡 Lessons Learned (and Moving Forward) This 8x8 setup is teaching us a lot. For the next run, I’ll be redesigning the airflow system entirely to prevent these issues. For now, the plants are still thriving, and catching the rot early means we can continue with this grow. Big flowers are a blessing, but they require serious air control. We’re already working on solutions, including an AC and new placement strategies, which I’ll cover in more detail on YouTube. ⸻ 📸 The Beauty Side Even with this challenge, the girls are stunning: • Massive colas held up by yo-yos. • Sparkling trichome close-ups showing the magic of Week 6. • Heavy branches bending under the weight of their own production. Bud rot may have appeared, but it was caught, managed, and turned into a learning moment for this run and for future ones. Day 90 The Sativa plant is beautifully swollen at the top. I've watered it minimally for the last three days. Today I'll mix up the solution and add a 1 g/l Bio Enchanter. It's alkaline (pH 8), so I'll first dilute 15 liters of the solution with 2 ml/l CalMag in the aquapot to 250 PPM. Then I'll lower the pH to 5.0, as recommended by the fertilizer manufacturer. After that, I'll dissolve a capful—one and a half liters of black powder. These 15 liters should be used within 24 hours. My slightly drying bushes will appreciate a third of the pot's volume being watered. The stems are showing red spots—it looks like I need to add 1-2 g/l Bio Bloom to the coco and mix 2-5 liters of the coco into the top layer. After bending and pruning, the plants feel stronger and healthier. To correct the nitrogen deficiency, I'll also add a liter of Simplex Start Up 4 ml/l.

Vegetationswoche 11 - 19.06. – 26.06.2026 Diese Woche war vor allem von den hohen Temperaturen geprägt. Das Beet ist deutlich schneller abgetrocknet als sonst und der Blumat Digital hat zeitweise Werte von über 200 angezeigt. Deshalb habe ich etwas entlaubt, die Triebe weiter per Low-Stress-Training unter dem Netz verteilt, das Klee-Cover-Crop gestutzt und insgesamt mehr gegossen als in den Wochen zuvor. Erst 5 Liter, ein paar Tage später nochmal 4 Liter und anschließend nochmal 5 Liter. Da sich die Vegetationsphase doch länger zieht als gedacht, habe ich außerdem den Lichtzyklus von 18/6 auf 16/8 umgestellt, um etwas Strom zu sparen. Trotz der Hitze macht die Utopia Haze weiterhin einen sehr vitalen Eindruck. Sie wächst konstant weiter, breitet sich langsam über die Fläche aus und entwickelt sich insgesamt in die Richtung, die ich mir vorgestellt habe. Jetzt heißt es weiterhin Geduld haben und das SCROG nach und nach füllen. 🌱

WEEK #12 - FIRST SIGNS OF BLOOM The bushes are doing fine, it seems. Checking the photos of last week, the progress is huge. Slush is almost same size as Skywalker now, 40cm in diaemter and about 25cm tall. Though not as compact /dense. In fact the SMC seems to be a very delicate and "soft"/dropping plant, while the Skywalker is a bit more sturdy. Really need to pull myself together to not remove mass (leaves) during stretch. 1-2 weeks to go, i think. Many leaves and high light intensity = thirsty much (and high humidity, but that shouldnt matter too much in this stage, err?). I think i will burn through all my fertilizer soon enough. But that's best for the plants surely. Installed the ScrOG net, 70x70cm tent kinda limiting already, a few more centimeters woulg be nice for air circulation and general spread of the plants. Hope to branch them out a bit more the folling days. At the moment i'm a bit concerned, also regarding the net, as i have usually sometimes removed the plants for care. Well, have to see if that's a major problem or just annoying in the future. Smell: not stronger than before (yet), very faint and not very distinct ("green"). Light: adjusted to appr. 35cm distance every other day, still 800 PPFD/µmol/m²/s - which could be a bit more in fact. Wish i had a "fast forward" function, can't wait. 👻 - - - Question(s): 2nd Fan under (instead above) canopy, after stretch seems reasonable? At the moment there's not enough space.

They rise up! I I watered the substrate before plant the seeds. The water was dechlorinated pH controlled.

Both Plants loving life at this point still no sign of flowering from the cherry but the GCookie is just beautiful.

Day 51, 4th of November 2020: The 3rd day since the lamp switched to be 12/12. I raised up the nutrition intake as it can be seen above only the BioBizz family 2ml/l and removed some LST because the plants remain in shape or just set a bit but nothing significant.... They look good and strech is on the way..... Nothing really to report there is crazy 2-3 weeks from now ;)

Day 12 of organic grow and all is well. Seemed to have dialed in the conditions and able to keep good air movement, CO2 levels, and consistent temperatures/humidity with the ThruWall Closet Fan (Model TW108 ), and the Holmes Twin Exhaust/Intake Fan (Model HAWF-2041). Humidity is maintained with a Lovoit 6L Ultrasonic Programmable Cool Mist Humidifier (Model# LV600HH). Added a SCROG screen (just a cargo net) and bought the Sample Pack of organic nutrients from Nectar for the Gods (just pay shipping and they will send you the sample nutrients - check out the website). People say their line of nutrients make the buds smell and taste like no other! I have always been an organic Earth Juice nutrient guy, so I am going to experiment with combining the two. Lights are on 24/0 and she has tight internodal spacing with good vertical growth. Room that closet is in is beginning to smell skunky at times, and like diesel at other times. Will begin light organic nutrients with next watering. If you made it this far, please check out my other autoflower grows. Day 13 - Watered today with very low strength nutrients added. - Zannabis7

2nd Week Report 24/10/19 - 31/10/19 25/10/19 I didn't flushed, but I filled the reservoir with 3l of 10% strength solution. Added to the current solution the same nutrients quantity as the first week (except for "Root Stimulator" and "Enzymes" that the first week were 20% strength and now got back to 10%). Now the reservoir should be filled with a 20% strength solution 29/10/19 - CMXL is 10cm height and it is growing really well along with his roots. - LSD is 6cm height and it is growing a little slower like his roots, but both of them look healty. I think in some days should start growing fast like CMXL Added 2 low frequency (113kHz) Ultrasonic Piezoelectric Discs: - One for the root chamber that should help with root expansion as it nebulize solution and the fog carries nutriments (like a small aeroponics integration) and will help my attempt of cloning. - One will stand in a 20% solution next to the plants to increase Humidity (and maybe feed them a little). I'll try to set them running 24/7 Switched water pump that sprays Rock Wool from 5sec every 30min to 6sec every 60min. Next week I plan to stop using the pump as "Top Feed" if roots will be well developed and probably I will use it as "Recirculation Pump" to keep nutrients in reservoir mixed better 30/10/19 Roots exposed to air inside reservoir got a little yellow after inserting the small fogger, so I will try to keep it 30/30 seconds ON/OFF. I will check next day if it's helpful to existing root o as root propagator for clone trial Topped CMXL and did a little of LST just by bending the main stem to expose the small growing next to fan leaves. The cutting was immediately dipped in a solution made by honey and Root Stimulation (the same I use for reservoir solution as it should contain rooting hormone), hoping it covers the cut like a gel and don't let the oxigen get in the cut until there will be some new growing. After that I put the cutting on the lid without any pot, as you can see in the picture some tape is covering the hole and it holding the topping. I covered it with a small jar to maintain humidity, hope to see some roots next week ;) I plan to fim LSD tomorrow if tonight grows enough 31/10/19 Filled the reservoir with 6L 20% strength solution and after that added 10% nutriment for 36L directly into the tote (like I did last week). Now nutrient solution inside reservoir should be 30% strength and it's ready for the 3rd week Pinched LSD Top with my fingers and applied LST by bending a little the main stem. Hope this FIMming works and returns better yield ;) Cloning trial didn't worked (I was expecting nothing, just a test), the cut part of the topping is already dry. Raised lights an inch and switched to FF Grow Big 10/ml/gal. Working on getting humidity up and temp down, such a conundrum. Added humidifier outside the tent next to the vent in. Plants look really good. The Pineapple Chunk is the biggest still but a little less dark green than the Presidential and Fruity Pebbles. Fruity Pebbles was the smallest but at the end of the week it seems to be almost as big as the Presidential.

Sooo both of them are healthy had do drop down a bit of the nutes because of some burned tips around the plants, but other then that they are doing good, they are starting the bulk up slowly, but I think about 4-5 more weeks and its chop time!
