But as we approach the final stretch, it’s a delicate dance of vigilance and care to ensure a clean and bountiful harvest. Here’s a deep dive into this exciting and educational week: The “Flush” in Full Swing The flush continues as we prepare the ladies for their final days. While we’re a week or so away from harvest, the plants are responding beautifully, showcasing stunning fades that highlight their unique genetics. This fading process is a critical part of the journey, helping the plants naturally finish their cycle while preserving those complex terpene profiles we all love. The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Trichomes are piling up like snow, giving the entire garden a magical wintery appearance. I genuinely believe the ThinkGrow LEDs and TrolMaster spectrum control deserve a shoutout here. Running deep red, far red, and UV at 100%, combined with whites at 50%, is delivering incredible results. The ability to fine-tune the spectrum is a game-changer for resin production and terpene enhancement. Nutrient & Soil Rundown On the nutrient side, the solution measures: • pH: 6.67 • TDS (Reservoir): 65 ppm • Solution Temp: 18.3°C Soil stats show a TDS of 695 ppm, indicating there’s still some nutrient reserve left in the medium—a perfect transition into the flush phase. It’s all about ensuring the plants have enough to finish strong without compromising flavor or smoothness. A Garden of Many Colors The fades across the room are a sight to behold. This week Went very uneventful. Reduced the fertilizer down to 600ppm and flushed twice on Wednesday and Thursday, on Wednesday I still had 100ppm in the tank after the second flush it went down to 0. Kept her in darkness until Friday night and then started chopping her down.

Dear diary, Week 10 total and week 1 of flower is behind us. Will just be making sure all tops are exposed and somewhat in the right place as I let them stretch for about 21 days before some defoliation. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 ⏰ Day 67: Feeding was given in the evening with a solution of 1.87ms and pH of 5.6. During this feeding, I guided most of the tops into their designated positions within the net, ensuring they are adequately spread out to receive optimal light. I also checked the runoff, which measured 2.3ms, but considering the extra dissolved salts from full draining and collection that would be higher that it really is, I will aim to bring it back to the desired range of 1.65-1.7ms to be sure. ⏰ Day 68: In the evening, the plants were fed with a solution of 1.64ms at a pH of 5.8. ⏰ Day 69: Evening feeding consisted of a solution with 1.66ms strength and a pH of 5.9. I also took the opportunity to confirm that the lights were positioned at a 48cm distance from the canopy. Additionally, I'm testing the exhaust system by venting it outside the room. Currently, the relative humidity (RH) ranges from 53-55% during lights-off and 58-60% during lights-on, while the temperatures remain around 18°C with lights off and 23.5°C with lights on. These conditions fall within the desired vPD (vapor pressure deficit) range of 0.95-1.2. ⏰ Day 70: Feeding was carried out in the evening using a solution with a strength of 1.66ms and a pH of 5.9. To enhance air circulation, I added a fan at the top of the tent. Furthermore, I checked the light intensity, which measured around 760-780ppfd. ⏰ Day 71: During the evening feeding, the plants received a solution with a strength of 1.64ms and a pH of 6.4. The RH levels range from 55-65% as the girls get more bushy, while temperatures vary between 23-18°C, depending on whether the lights are on or off. ⏰ Day 72: Evening feeding included a solution with 1.64ms strength and a pH of 6.4. ⏰ Day 73: The plants were fed with a solution having a strength of 1.66ms and a pH of 6.0. As indicated by the feeding schedule, the A+B mix was increased to 3.5ml/l. I also ensured that the lights were positioned approximately 50cm above the canopy and set to 90% intensity to provide additional heat.

12/27 Week 8 ! Such lovely girls, prettiest plants we've grown to date. Pretty happy with the nuets where they are so leaving it at 850ish ppm Was continuing to occasionally throw in some Fish Sh!T but that will stop now,too close so gotta watch those terps. Lights out pics later 12/28 Last two weeks before the flush so began the Soul Peak PK/Finisher at minimum dose with regular feed. Adds almost nothing to ppm. 12/31 Last push , reduced Bloom nuets to 7ml and increased Peak to 13 which is a tad high but ppm remains under 800. Eventually it will be all Peak then flush. 1/2 Flush for Belle begins with Monday's watering at lights on. Last day for Bloom nuets on Belle and then three days of just the finisher. Annie will stay on the 5ml/15ml mix until her hairs curl sufficiently then same protocol.

*** RESULTS ARE IN *** Final results are in! Updated with pics of dry-trim and weigh-in :) Total yield was 228g of bud + 45g trim to be used for tincture. Total weight 273g / 9.75oz This was way beyond what I was expecting! Was hoping to get around 6oz from this grow, so the final result has absolutely blown my mind. But more importantly, it's a !!REALLY!! good smoke :) I've taken half oz off the top and put the rest into mason jars for curing, but even without a cure, the taste is good - sweet and creamy. The smell has come on LOTS through the drying process. When I chopped, the smell was fragrant, but not too strong. Now, you can smell it across the house and no mistake. It packs a punch too, very potent high - Can't wait to share with a few friends :) ********** Well, this has been an awesome experience for my first grow. Thankfully, these girls were super strong - they took a LOT of abuse in terms of high temps (up to 38C some days) and survived me being an idiot in the early days and not really knowing what I was doing. But here we are! Almost didn't want to chop them down..... but I got over that pretty quick. Total wet weight from both was 1339g (47.8 oz), of which about 150g is popcorn / larf. Super impressed with the yield :) My aim is to be self sufficient, in terms of yield being able to last long enough for another grow cycle to complete. With a rough estimate of 3 months per cycle, and based on my current usage of approx half oz a week, I would need this to result in about 6oz when dried, and I think this could be achievable. I will update the dry weight in due course. Can't speak to the quality yet. As tempting as it is to quick dry a test nug for a cheeky toke, I'll wait for it to dry properly, so I can really appreciate it. I've waited this long to harvest, another couple of weeks won't kill me. Also, I still have some of my current stash (hopefully the last weed I'll ever have to buy!). It's really difficult to be patient though, because DAMN it looks good. I'll give the buds a good manicure and dry trim when they're ready. It smells really good too! The smell is not overly powerful, it doesn't slap you in the face like some weed does, but it's delicious! Fresh, bursting oranges, with just an undertone of that unmistakable weed smell......It's like The Man from Del Monte is stood behind you in a queue, and he has an eighth of dank in his pocket that he doesn't think anyone else can smell. If I had to say I've learned anything along this journey, it's that it's better to be prepared. Research things that COULD happen and have necessary stuff on hand when you need it. Don't wait until that deficiency shows before ordering what you need and finding out it'll take 2 weeks to ship (fuck you, covid-19). And there we have it.... will report back once dried for the final weigh-in and smoke report. Stay safe, stay high :)

Yesterday I already noticed some distinct candy mandarine aroma with some chocolate cookies mixed in. Lets hownshe develop those lovely colours ans smell. One of the older plants is already fed 7 times a day. Thats a record for me. In around 9l of coco.
