. FIRST DAYS ------------- The girls tolerated the topping well; in three days, I found small bushy bushes in my tent. So, a little mainlining to give them the desired shape, and a little splash of water with just Voodoo. Tomorrow they will receive their 4ml Grow A+B, with 2ml B-52 this time. PS: as you can see in the photo, a little mistake due to over-enthusiasm... I damaged one, but the branch didn't break completely; a little bandage, we'll see if it recovers, if not it will do without that branch. I've seen worse in a previous session, and it was my 3-branch plant that gave me the best harvest! πŸ‘‰ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QTXbEUN8pA MIDWEEK ----------- Two days after mainlining, it's time for the first defoliation. I cut the β€œhorizontal” sites, as I don't want branches growing in the center of the structure. I'll leave them to rest now; I'll do some lollipopping when they've climbed. + I'll switch Voodoo to B-52. PS: - The damaged branch is not dead, but does not seem to be recovering; I will give it a few more days before deciding to cut it - On the other hand, I had an unpleasant surprise: one of my other girls showed signs of wilting and browning on three of the four branches. I've never had that before... As with gangrene, I cut the three, hoping that the fourth will hold up. For her, I kept the middle sites + mainlining; if it works, I'll still have three branches. see 2 last pics πŸ‘†

Didn't have too many pictures before the flip, the other plant in the tent was being wild and stretchy. Still making good growth but is still kinda small.

Upper growth slowed for about a week or two and root developed, but then the top started growing, and branches started forming. Leaves started getting bigger.

26.12.24: I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes! 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process. Thanks for checking out my diary πŸƒ ✌️

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50Β° F. Any listed nutrients are topdressed @ ml/gallon of soil. Day 1 we started with lots of sunshine and clear skies. Then we had a pop up severe thunderstorm with grape sized hail. Thankfully it only lasted a few minutes. Day 2 we have clear skies and sunshine. The temperature is mid 70's. You can see the hail damage that occured day 1. The #3 plant was topped by a hail stone. Luckily it only got the top and didn't take out the side branches growing out of the 4th node. This was very fortunate a topping above the 4th node done by nature. Day 3 we had rain and thunderstorms through the previous night and into the morning. We had sunshine, clear skies, and temperatures in the upper 70's. That was followed by severe thunderstorms, rain, and a touch of hail from 4p.m. to 6p.m. Day 4 we had relief from the rain. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's and lots of sunshine. We have a few days of sunshine in the forecast πŸ™ Day 5 we had lots of sunshine and clear skies. Highs in the upper 70's and 49% humidity. We needed the dryness. πŸ™ Day 6 we had clear skies and sunshine. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's. Day 7 we had partly cloudy skies and temps in the middle 70's. Overall this week was a success. We thankfully avoided any major damage from the hail. The girls more than doubled in height and really kicked out some branches after topping.

I had problems with some yellow tips of some leaves. I also stopped with LST for fear that it might have affected. Should I restart with LST? as you can see from the last photos, the pre-emis begin to come out. start with the top max biogrow fertilizer?

I fed her some molasses last weekend. Personally I never really notice much difference after feeding molasses but I still try feeding it 2 weeks before harvest anyway. I have beed giving her just water since then. Going to flush real good this weekend, then let her dry out til the following weekend when I am going to harvest her. That should put the harvest date right around 1/27/18, which would be a full 3 months of growth - seed to harvest. The Blue Mammoth has been just a great plant to grow so far. I did not do anything to her except some defoliation. No bending, training, topping, etc... And she looks awesome in my opinion. She's bigger than the Girl Scout Cookies I harvested a few weeks ago, which yielded 2.6 oz. Looking forward to harvest, cure and smokeπŸ‘

WEEK 4: The plants are now in the third week of the growth phase. I topped all three plants on the main stem and cut off the 4 largest top leaves so that the side shoots have more light available. Plant #1 is clearly the smallest and is not as developed as the other two. Since I only want to take two plants into the flowering phase, I tend to sort them out. Plant #2 looks the most vital and has already developed a noticeable smell. Plant #3 still has a strange leaf shape, although I have the impression that this has improved slightly The plants in 6L pots and added 5% FLO (Living Soil Fertilizer). I let the soil develop for 14 days beforehand. Clear mycelia have formed and the soil has a very pleasant forest floor smell. - Light Power: 40% - Soil: BioBizz Light Mix + 5% FLO (Living Soil Fertilizer) - Additives: Dynomyco mycorrhiza granules
