Very difficult for me to grow. So much foliage. This plant bushes out like crazy. She was also a real pain in the ass to harvest. You should strip her of every god damn leaf except for the top nodes right before flower or she will fill out to the point of cover up all the bud. I had to throw out a bunch of under developed flower because it was so bushy..

8/10 - In prep for flower I've got some Compost Tea brewing with a little Terp Tea Bloom by Roots Organics. .Also did a little selective defoliation 8/11 - Flipped the ladies to flower today! And all is good in the 8x4. 8/12 - Watered all the ladies with the Compost/Terp Tea. Also did some more defoliation and added some mosquito bits for added pest prevention.

🌱 Wieder mal einen schönen Sonntag & zweiten Advent für die, die es betrifft 😊 🌿 Wochenupdate Die Woche war wieder bisschen was los… leider =D Ich versuche wieder alles so transparent wie möglich zu machen 😊 Zu Beginn habe ich meine Lösung wie gewohnt manuell mit hochwertigen Apera-Messinstrumenten kontrolliert angemischt und behandelt. Das lief auch immer perfekt, bis es leicht überhand genommen hat 😅 Ich habe locker 7-mal am Tag gemessen und dementsprechend anschließend gereinigt… Nach ein wenig Überlegen habe ich mich dann schließlich doch für einen Bluelab Guardian entschieden. Anfangs wollte ich nicht so viel in reinen Komfort investieren, aber mir persönlich wurde es einfach zu viel, weil ich zu oft wissen möchte, was los ist =D Letzte Woche hatte ich ja bereits erwähnt, dass ich den Stretch-Peak anhand der EC- und pH-Kurven bestimmen konnte. Das lief schon alles über den Bluelab. Da ich wirklich gerne datenbasierte Entscheidungen treffe, habe ich ab diesem Moment weiter fleißig runtertrainiert und die Werte beobachtet um den richtigen Zeitpunkt zum sortieren zu erwischen . Der Trend war dann aber erst mal, dass sie einfach wie verrückt weiterziehen 😄 Am 4. Tag bei diesem Messverhalten wäre es fast passiert… Der Uptake hat über eine Dunkelphase so dermaßen zugenommen, dass ich es mir nicht mehr erklären konnte (Peak-Messung × 2,5). Fakt war aber: Das Reservoir war von den Werten her wirklich in einen kritischen Bereich gerutscht und ich wollte das ändern. Warum das so war, dachte ich mir: kann ich auch später klären… schließlich haben die Ladys Hunger =D Also habe ich wie immer 30 L Top-Up berechnet, gemischt und auf etwa 4,30 mS/cm eingestellt, damit ich die niedrigen RESS-Werte wieder nach oben bekomme. Zum Glück habe ich auch meine Momente, man mag’s nicht glauben 😄 Ich habe random beim Abpumpen mal den Drain gemessen, weil es mir keine Ruhe gelassen hat – und siehe da: 1,9 mS/cm. Die Sonde hatte sich über die Wochen ordentlich in einen Wurzelballen geschoben und dadurch zwar konstante Werte geliefert, aber eben in einer Wurzel-Biozone und nicht im freien Draftwasser. Das klingt erst mal nicht dramatisch , aber wenn mir das nicht aufgefallen wäre, hätten die Damen rund 24 h in einem hochtoxischen Bereich gestanden… Das wären sicher ein Ordentlicher stepback gewesen... Und natürlich passiert das Ganze in einer Phase, in der ich ihnen so wenig Stress wie möglich machen möchte 😄 Ich habe jetzt aus grobem Filterschwamm kleine „Hüllen“ gebaut, die aktuell ihren Dienst tun und die Wurzeln fernhalten. Drain-Messen ist ab jetzt auf jeden Fall SOP 😄 Da der Guardian erst während des Runs eingezogen ist, konnte ich ihn leider nicht ordentlich verbauen.. 🌿 Pflanzenstatus & Training Zur Sicherheit gehe ich wieder Back to Basics und trainiere so lange weiter, bis der Rebound-Stretch sichtbar nachlässt 😊 Das sollte jetzt die Tage geschehen. Den nächsten Run gestalte ich hier definitiv anders 😄 Ich brauch doch meine Werte fürs Timing… Anschließend nur noch die Meshes bestücken, langsam am Klima schrauben – und wachsen lassen 😊 ⚙️ System Bis auf die Panne mit der Sonde läuft das System nach wie vor perfekt. So we started feeding them. just some organic growth by BAC and some Calmag. Mostly around the sides of the pots to encourage the roots and start the Microlife overall. We have used nice lukewarm water and added some sugar sirop to activate all the wee beasties. The growth last week was phenomenal although one is going faster than the other. For this reason I changed them around, should climate on that spot have anything to do with that. Now we are looking at other XL runts diaries, to learn from the best performers and copycat their methods to maximize yields with this setup. We will decide if we will just LST them or give them a top... Have to be quick tho, these ladies will flower soon... 09/21 Got hit hard with a storm last night had em knocked over a couple times had to pen em against the garage to keep em up. They are definitely leaning and looking beat up one top branch broke off big pot. The smell is loud this morning though not both the small pot just smells green to me and not really terpy the big pot though at several feet away u can smell a sour milk kinda funk and as u get closer it gets sweeter and on a nug rub it's super sour and candy funk love it. I'm buying bamboo today to build support around em to finish the season strong hopefully went ahead and fed em both 1150ppm. 09/23 watered both this morning 09/24 fed em both 1150ppm 09/25 watered both. Gonna start letting em drop before watering to give a little sprout stress in the last couple weeks. Plus they should start drinking drastically less now. 09/26 got home from work to both of em being droopy so fed 1120ppm

✋Wk 7: Will the size difference begin to fall in line with the predictions, and rearranging the wind. 👉 This week is Day 48 thru Day 54 total. (Feb 16 thru 22). Today (day 54ttl) the 1 gallon plant is at day 21 flower and the 3 gallon is at day 9 flower. 👉 This week has shown some interesting things. The 1 gallon plant is still ahead in the physical timeline, and has also started to demonstrate how the smaller pot is limiting its size. The 1 gallon has been ahead of the 3 gallon plant in size and stature, until this week. The 1 gallon has stopped stretching and is beginning to develop its flowers. I was worried it would continue to get bigger and may become an issue vertically as well as horizontally. The 3 gallon plant has grown a few inches and isn’t really stretching up yet, but it is growing overall in size. It’s a big dome of leaves right now. Its main cola is same height as a couple of the secondary branches. I doubt the main cola will remain the same but this plant hasn’t been typical from its germination so only time will tell. 👉 The other interesting thing has actually been trending this way for a couple of weeks…the run-off for both plants has been lower than the inflow and no low EC fertigation has been needed. The 1 gallons roots are undoubtedly densely packed in the pot. It takes several minutes to apply the nutrient solution. The volume needed has also increased. The 3 gallon still readily accepts the solution, but it takes more every day and the run off takes longer to start running out of the bottom. The saturation level of both pots has increased, and the 3 gallon especially. The EC for both has stayed below the inflow EC. This is unusual because part of the volume of water in the pot when saturated isn’t absorbed by the plant, it evaporates on all sides of the pot and the top of the media. This would leave the dried nutrients wich would rinse off at each fertigation adding to the TDS. The reduction of EC in the run-off means the nutrients are being utilized by the plant. I have dropped the inflow EC of the 3 gallon a little because I was worried about burn. I have kept the EC of the 1 gallon plant at the low end of the recommended EC range of the General Hydroponics drain to waste nutrient schedule chart for the Flora series of nutrients. I use the entire line of these nutrients. For the one gallon I had been giving it only the “simple program”, and the 3 gallon the “expert” (entire line). This week when I noted that the stretch has pretty much ended for the 1 gallon, and decided that I will go ahead and give it the expert mixture as well but given at the low end of the EC range still. Ive included the Fertigation log for the week. It shows the tent temps, the outdoor temps and HVAC setting. Also, I note when a fresh batch is made and what week on the schedule it is. Each pot has the recorded time of fertigation, volume, pH, and EC of the solution given and the corresponding run-off. I mix the solutions at full strength and use a solution with just silica and Cali-magic to reduce the EC to the desired EC. I mix that in at fertigation time. I also adjust the pH if necessary at this time. 👉 The structure of the 1 gallon is very stout main trunk, and each branch is very sturdy. The bigger fan leaf production has given way to smaller leaves. The structure of the 3 gallon also has a very stout main trunk and each branch is very sturdy. The 3 gallon has some very large fan leaves and it has lots of vegetation. Its very dense and hard to peer inside. For both plants I have begun to selectively remove branches that would not be producing anything but larf. The 1 gallon only needed the lowest main branches trimmed. I also removed some of its smaller shaded secondary branches and leaves inside the canopy. The trimming on the 3 gallon is similar, however its much harder to get inside. I just do a little at a time at each fertigation. Im not sure if the first set of branches on the 3 gallon will be tall enough to keep but I want to wait till the plant starts stretching to see what they will do. Ive left as many leaves as possible in the 3 gallon…a lot of really nice fat food factories. This plant may go very large, or it may stay somewhat stunted as it did during the early veg phase. 👉 I positioned the plants I closer to the back wall. I bought a oscillating tower fan and was hoping it would be a good addition to the tent. Alas, it had too strong of a wind current (on the lowest speed) and the 1 gallon was showing signs of wind stress after 2 days. So I removed the fan and re-positioned the smaller fans I had clipped up top of the tent. Both fans are now hanging lower on adjustable ropes and point toward the plants. They are working well like this and the air flow is good. I may modify the oscillating fan and install a variable resistor to the fan motor to reduce the flow. I have added the branch support to the legs of the stand the 1 gallon is on. These posts will be used to support the weight of buds or position them as needed. I will add the support posts to the 3 gallon plant after it has gone thru its stretch, maybe another 2 weeks for that.

16.4.25: As mentioned last week I top dressed with a mix of canna terra plus dry amendments. The soil is very waterlogged and, as a result, has started to grow some mould/mildew on the top layer. I decided to scrape off as much mould as I could, then redress by mixing in some coco and perlite. This should aerate the soil, and prevent the water retention becoming excessive. 23.4.25: I hope everyone had a great 420! HulkBerry has grown significantly since last week. She is now exceeding the perimeter of the 8 Gallon pot. The leaves are looking good to me. It's not too dark, but still luscious in appearance. I have barely given any water, as unfortunately I had overwatered when I top dressed. The top dress was not my usual substrate and, unfortunately, ended up growing mould on the surface. I removed the top soil to take away the mould. Then I replaced it with 2 Inches of Canna coco and perlite 60/40%. I did not add any amendments to this. Nutrients; Cal-Mag amino acids and Ecothrive Biosys. I watered 2 litres yesterday, and today, I am going to LST for the 1st time. It needs to be done ASAP now, before she begins to flower. I'm just aiming to open her up and keep the tops at an even height. I'm happy with this plant her structure is lovely, and uniform. Which I hope to maintain.
