Girls are trucking along without much issue. I did have a bit of PH flux due to my PH meter calibration being off but no biggie, she didn't show too much signs of stress. These girls are starting to stink which I'm happy about, hoping for a really cheesy harvest :D

Such a great ending to the week. We finally got to the finish line for growing. Now comes the dry and cure.

The buds on this herercane have a lot of those little round leaves in them. I'm not a fan of the visual or the challenge it presents in trimming. Hope others trying this strain get some better phenos. If not, then Herercane wont be sticking around...I gave the girls a flush and a complete water change this week. That was only the second water change they have had this grow. I have just been letting them drink the reservoir almost empty and then filling it up with fresh nutes. The 5 plants are drinking about 4 gallons a day combined. Been running AC when the lights are on and the dehumidifier 24 hours a day. All of the plants are showing some decent trichome production. Running 1/2 tsp maxibloom and 1/8 tsp beastie bloomz per gallon every time I add water. Seems to be keeping everyone happy.

At which point the clones from each cultivar will be going into their own designated 5x5 tent, We will be starting out with 5x 5x5 MARS HYDRO tents each tent running a MARS HYDRO FC-E6500. We will be getting a infrared c02 burner and implementing proper c02 from here on out. This diary will be about tracking the both good and bad qualities of each mother plant & creating somewhat a visual representation of our pheno-hunt process. MARS HYDRO & I are currently finalizing the price on all of the equipment and then we will be gung ho. The reason being for this is the Ragekiller Tuna is from balmshelter.ca and it was supposedly left over stock of charles scott's own seeds he breeds ( He used to be reeferman ) Made pink kush, That guy. Anyways I passed some of the purpsberry off to @1Right_Angle and it grew like less than I would have expected for what the strain was supposed to be. Trust me, 1Right_Angle grew it into a absolute monster, But it began to autoflower very strangely being a regular photoperiod & then produced very strange flower. Going into this stage of production it is important these first few grows are not at all wastes of money in any aspect & that product from these pheno hunts will be sellable. I am only going to take a couple clones off of the ragekiller & not fill an entire 5x5 with it until we have confirmed its genetics as being stable & strong. So that is why we have brought in Stinkin Bishop to play back up. UPDATE : October 6th 2023 - Electrical is finished, MARS HYDRO equipment is all here. Just waiting for the new camera gear, Editing rig & rest of the equipment for the rebuild to come in. I have always read that it takes good genetics to get purple. Just about the coolest thing watching it turn colors.it is hard to take pictures and capture the color right too.

After 3 days they are already starting to pop! This is going to be a good run.

Been lightly LSTing the stem for resilience have noticed more development and more than original thought would be thers the development of the 3rd-4th set of leafs with the development of the first 2 side branches on each autoflowers (first 2 on vid is lemon cherry cookies and last 1 on vid is frozen face) started lst to shape there structures I’ve defoliated the single set of leafs where first set of side branches are developing and stretching nicely

the cycle has come to an end, the plants have been harvested and are being cured. the mother yielded 421 grams of dry flowers the clones yielded 303 grams of dry flowers. the variety changed its smell during curing, it became even more pleasant, the smell of garlic is not felt, fruit spices, very complex. the variety is generally very strong, not suitable for beginners and for daily smoking. I am very glad that such a rich harvest came out.

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. 420 Fastbuds Week 9 Gorilla Cookies Auto Week 9 update for these two temperamental girls. They absolutely did not like the feeding I gave them a few feds back. Over all besides the yellow and crispy leafs they appear to be growing good. I'm only going to give them maybe two more weeks before they get the chop.

Hmm, now the peat and coco are looking quite different. The coco plants have thicker stems, but they also look like they could still use a bit higher EC. On day 14 I watered the peat plants and did some defoliating, that's what you can see in the pictures. There's not a whole lot to see yet, but I really like this plant already. I'm having positive experience with coco. the peat plants got 1.7 EC water with 2.2-2.7 EC runoff (1100-1350 ppm), 6,5 ph The coco plants got 2.0 EC water with 1.4-1.7 EC runoff (700-850 ppm), 5.5 ph as per the recommendation by plagron
