29.08. Update – Day 31 • The flip is complete: all plants have now officially transitioned into flowering. • Differences in genetics are clearly visible – some plants are taller and more stretched, while others remain more compact. • Despite these variations, all ladies are in excellent health, showing strong growth and vibrant green leaves. ⸻ Pest Situation • The thrips problem continues to improve since the nematodes were applied. • While there are still a few thrips present, the overall pressure is noticeably reduced. • If necessary, a second round of nematodes will be considered to fully bring the situation under control. ⸻ Notes & Outlook • The start of the flowering phase looks very promising, with all plants well-prepared for the next stretch. • Structural differences between the phenotypes may result in an interesting variety in bud formation later on. • Everything is running smoothly overall – healthy growth, steady development, and pests slowly being pushed back. • Once again, a big thank you to Biotabs for keeping this grow simple and effective with their Only-Water nutrient system. ⸻ 🌱 Day 31 – the flowering stage has begun: healthy plants, genetics showing their traits, and thrips slowly but surely coming under control.

I've ordered myself a little holder thingy for the phone, so I can attach the pocket microscope to it and take stable pictures through it - until then, just believe me that the trichomes started to turn amber in large enough amounts that I did not want to wait any longer. Going for that active, energizing high, it was time to cut her! I will see that I fill in the growdiary live week by week from now on - I would have added a lot more thoughts and notes that way I believe. Might have slightly helped diagnosing the poor thing earlier. 😅 On the grow itself, there are several things I learned and want to improve going forward. For one, I am not going to carry that much water around a second time 😄 I can't really weigh this right now and I already started smoking it 😇 - but if possible I will try and provide a dry estimate later this month when I prepare the remains for curing.

🇺🇸Grow Journal🇺🇸– Week 5 – Mother Gorilla (Royal Queen Seeds) Week 5 Summary This week didn’t go as planned. I switched nutrients, and the plant didn’t respond well, possibly due to overfeeding. I probably should have transitioned more gradually to avoid stressing it. Nutrient Issue • Previously used: Formulex • New nutrient: Ionic Hydro Grow • Possible cause: Ionic Hydro Grow has a higher concentration of nutrients than Formulex. The sudden increase may have stressed the plant. • Symptoms: The new leaves are showing signs of damage, which could indicate nutrient burn. Typically, deficiencies affect older leaves first, so it seems more like an excess—but I can’t say for sure. Corrective Actions • Diluted the nutrient solution to lower the EC. • Initial EC: 2.6+ (but my tap water already has a high EC, so the actual nutrient EC is hard to determine). • New EC: Below 2, but again, since my starting EC is high (around 0.8-0.9), it’s difficult to get an exact reading of the nutrient contribution. • pH adjusted to 5.9-6.0. Current Conditions • Light schedule: 18 hours • Humidity: 70% • pH: 5.9-6.0 • EC: Below 2 (but actual nutrient EC remains uncertain). Next Steps • Observe the plant and see if it recovers. • Adjust the next nutrient mix carefully to avoid overfeeding. • Continue light training (LST), but growth has slowed due to stress. Hopefully, the plant will bounce back. did some well needed defoliation looking a lot better. Buds are starting to get thick and heavy and covered in trichome. First bit of hairs are starting to turn orange.

04/05/2025 - 84 day Finally harvested😇 both strains smells like a mix of tropical skittles also if they're quite different, Flushed 2 week ago then just watering, very happy with my harvest, waiting summer time for enjoy it, harvest week for dried buds pics in three weeks or one month.

Probably gonna start cutting her at next week. Gave her a flush (sort of) which was quite a hassle because her size and weight.

Only problem i have is my GDP is locking out calc or mag and i can’t figure out why, all of the other plants are doing beautiful my hope is for a week 10 flower harvest for all three strains

The plants are happy and on cruze control. Apart from daily defoliation I'm just letting them do their thing. No nutrients or boosters have been added this week🤙 Ok and still contending with bladdy LOAD SHEDDING !!!!!! 2-4 hours of electricity turned off by Eskom NATION WIDE!!! I'm currently sitting in the pitch dark tying this🤙 Google it.. totally sucks

Progress was a little slow this week. I decided to try out flora kleen and see if a mid flower salt removal and root cleanse would help. I was very surprised at what came off of the roots and out of the totes the plants were in after just an hour. I can for certain say that it did make quite a difference. She’s filling out nicely and we are almost to the fun part.

UPGRADE: got a new 4x4 tent, dwc in the back. How ever back to the strain. It is still a Salad, no stretch in sight. I have no clue why, but what ever I schwazzed the shit out of the plant in the hopes for some more length, if not its okay, it will perform in the End and it needed to get rid of the leaves anyway. welp lets see

Easy week just gave the girls lots of water and did a leaf trimming up too to let it breathe and get a little more light deeper! They are looking amazing😍

So this week was the first week of flowering! 😊 lovely. She has stretched just a little bit and will expect some further stretching. Quite glad of this as my green house is quite short. Weather has been colder and slightly damper this week so she probably hasn’t been at optimal conditions. Gave her Some extra vegetation and bloom to help through this transitions. Also added a nice scoop of BatGuano to ensure she has enough P in the near future.
