Flowering day 34 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The buds have developed incredibly nicely this week. The smell is getting more and more extreme :-) . The growth has slowly stopped as the full energy goes into the production of the buds. Watering was done twice this week, each time with 1.2 l (nutrients see table above) They were individually inspected and checked for their health. 🌿 Frosted Guava Auto by Zamnesia | Pheno B | Week 11 🦄 The Dark Little Unicorn Is Picking Up Speed ❄️🔥 Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌿💚 Well... I think we can officially say that Frosted Guava Pheno B has found her rhythm. And now? She's moving. Fast. 😂🦄🔥 She's still the dark green girl. She's still compact compared with some of the giants in this room. She's still beautifully frosty. She's still carrying those gorgeous developing flowers. But something has changed. She's progressing. She's evolving. She's building. And every time I look at her, I see another little step forward. Honestly... I'm really, really liking this genetics. I've heard some great things about Frosted Guava, and I'm starting to understand why. But I'm also trying very hard not to put expectations on her. Because expectations can be dangerous. 😂 We can hear wonderful things about a genetic. We can imagine what it might become. We can start creating a picture in our heads before the plant has even finished telling us her own story. And I don't want to do that. I want to watch THIS girl. This phenotype. This plant. This expression. And let her tell me where she's going. So far? She's telling me something I really like. Let's give this beautiful girl the spotlight. 🌿❄️👑 ──────────────────────── 🦄 ANOTHER GIRL IN FULL AUTO MODE ──────────────────────── It's becoming almost funny now. 😂 We're surrounded by different cultivars. Autos. Photoperiods. Different genetic lines. Different phenotypes. And we're running them all under the same 12/12-from-seed environment. Yet somehow... they're all starting to look like they're speaking the same language. The photoperiods are behaving like autos. The autos are behaving like photoperiods. And some of them? They're just doing whatever the hell they want. 😂🌿 Frosted Guava Pheno B is definitely in that last category. She's an autoflower. She's in a 12/12 room. And she's perfectly happy doing her thing. She's growing. She's flowering. She's stacking. She's getting heavier. She's developing. And she's moving at a beautiful pace. At this point, I'm honestly less interested in the label... and much more interested in the expression. Because the plant is telling us what matters. ──────────────────────── 🌿 THE DARK GREEN GIRL IS MOVING ──────────────────────── That deep green remains one of her signatures. It's one of the first things I notice every time I look at her. She's got that rich, dark foliage that gives her so much visual character. And now, with the flowers developing further, that contrast is becoming even more beautiful. Dark green leaves. Bright pistils. Developing flowers. Increasing frost. And a structure that's becoming more and more defined. She's not standing still. She's not waiting. She's moving. And that's what makes this week so satisfying. We're starting to see the plant transition from: "Beautiful flowering plant" to: "Okay... this girl is really building now." 🔥🌸❄️ ──────────────────────── 🌸 THE FLOWERS ARE EVOLVING BEAUTIFULLY ──────────────────────── This is probably my favourite part of this week's update. The flowers. They're evolving beautifully. The structures are becoming more pronounced. The stacking is becoming more obvious. And the overall plant is starting to develop that heavier flowering appearance we've been waiting to see. She's not just creating little flowering points anymore. She's building actual structure. And she's doing it throughout the plant. That makes her particularly interesting to watch because she's still relatively compact... but she doesn't feel small. You look at the flowers... and there is presence. You look at the resin... and there is presence. You look at the structure... and there is presence. She's becoming one of those plants where the physical size doesn't tell the whole story. And I really like that. ──────────────────────── ❄️ FROSTED GUAVA IS LIVING UP TO HER NAME ──────────────────────── The frost continues to be one of the things that immediately catches my eye. ❄️💚 The flowers are developing more visual texture. The resin is becoming increasingly apparent. And when you get the camera close... well... there's another world. 😂📸 The little details start appearing. Trichomes. Pistils. Flower structures. Textures. Tiny areas of resin that you don't really appreciate from across the room. This is where photography becomes dangerous again. You start with one flower. Then another. Then you notice something else. Then you move closer. Then closer again. And suddenly you've been photographing one little section for twenty minutes. 😂 But that's what I love about this stage. The plant is giving us reasons to look closer. ──────────────────────── 🦄 THE UNICORN PERSONALITY REMAINS ──────────────────────── And yes... our little unicorn is still here. 😂🦄 The unusual floral character we've been watching hasn't disappeared. And because her sister has shown similar behaviour, that makes the comparison even more interesting. Two Frosted Guava phenotypes. Same room. Same overall environment. Same lighting philosophy. Same nutritional strategy. And both showing some similarities... while still being very different plants. That's exactly the kind of thing I love seeing in a phenotype project. Not identical. Not clones of each other. But enough shared characteristics to make you stop and wonder where genetics are influencing the expression. I'm not going to pretend we have all the answers. We don't. We're simply observing. And right now? What we're observing is beautiful. ──────────────────────── 🚀 SHE'S MOVING FAST ──────────────────────── This is the biggest change I feel this week. She's moving. And she's moving quickly. The flowers are developing. The structure is becoming more substantial. The plant is evolving. The overall flowering picture is becoming more advanced. And when I compare her with the previous photographs... the difference is there. She's progressing. She's not rushing toward some imaginary finish line. She's simply moving at her own rhythm. And apparently... her rhythm has picked up. 😂🔥 That's exciting. Because we're still not at the end. Not even close. There's still plenty of development ahead. And if she's already moving like this now... I'm very curious about what the next chapters will look like. ──────────────────────── I'M REALLY LIKING THIS GENETICS ──────────────────────── I'll admit it. I'm really liking Frosted Guava. 😂💚 I've heard some great things about this genetics, and watching these two phenotypes develop has definitely made me understand why people get excited about genetics like this. But... I'm still keeping my expectations in check. That's important. Because there's a big difference between: "I've heard great things." and: "This specific plant is going to do exactly what I've heard." Every plant is different. Every environment is different. Every phenotype is different. And that's exactly why I'm documenting this particular girl instead of trying to compare her to somebody else's description. I'm watching her. I'm learning her. I'm photographing her. And I'm letting her tell me what she is. So far... I like the story she's writing. 🌿❄️ ──────────────────────── 💡 SAME ROOM. SAME PHOTONS. DIFFERENT GIRL. ──────────────────────── The lighting environment remains the same for everyone. We've added the two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures to the room. After seeing that the initial output was more than we wanted for our target, we brought the fixtures down to approximately: 💡 ~59% power from the plug giving us approximately: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy with intensity naturally varying according to plant height and position. And once again... Frosted Guava Pheno B is receiving the same upgraded lighting environment as everybody else. Same photons. Same room. Same general ecosystem. Different response. That's what I love. We don't need to create a completely different world for every plant. We give them the same opportunity... and then watch what they do with it. This girl is clearly making use of hers. ──────────────────────── ☀️ MORE LIGHT. MORE CAPABILITY. NOT MORE POWER FOR THE SAKE OF IT. ──────────────────────── One thing I'm particularly happy about with the lighting upgrade is that we're not simply adding fixtures and then running everything at maximum power. That's not the goal. The additional Future of Grow fixtures give us more capability. More spread. More photons available across the room. More flexibility. And because we're running them around 59% from the plug, we're not asking the fixtures to operate at full output just because they can. That's a big part of why I really appreciate this upgrade. And Frosted Guava is getting to experience that expanded lighting environment right alongside the rest of the girls. A huge thank you to Future of Grow for supplying those additional Black Series 600W fixtures and allowing us to explore what they can add to this experiment. 💚💡 ──────────────────────── ⚗️ NUTRITION – THE ROOM MOVES TOGETHER ──────────────────────── The nutrition has also been increased slightly across the room. Our current flowering program is: 🌱 Plagron Terra Bloom – 2.3 ml/L 🌱 Power Buds – 1 ml/L 🌱 Green Sensation – 1 ml/L 🌱 Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L ⚗️ pH adjustment as required Current solution parameters are approximately: ⚗️ pH – 6.02 ⚡ EC – ~2.14 mS/cm And again... Frosted Guava isn't receiving some secret special recipe. She's part of the same overall nutritional strategy as the rest of the room. The plants are being given the same general foundation. Then they decide what to do with it. And this girl? She's taking that foundation and building beautifully. ──────────────────────── 🌡️ WEEK 11 – CURRENT CONDITIONS ──────────────────────── The room is currently running around: 🌸 Flowering: Week 11 💡 Light schedule: 12/12 🌡️ Day temperature: ~26.5°C 🌙 Night temperature: ~26°C 💧 Relative humidity: ~61% ⚗️ pH: ~6.02 ⚡ EC: ~2.14 mS/cm 💦 Nutrient solution temperature: ~25°C 🌱 Substrate temperature: ~25°C 💨 CO₂: ~693 ppm ? Pot size: 15 L 💧 Irrigation: ~1.45 L/plant/24h The environment remains stable. The lighting has been upgraded. The nutrition has been slightly increased. And the plants continue responding in their own individual ways. ──────────────────────── 🌿 SAME ENVIRONMENT. DIFFERENT EXPRESSIONS. ──────────────────────── This is still the heart of the entire 8×8 Adventure. We provide the stage. The genetics write the performance. And Frosted Guava Pheno B is writing hers beautifully. Some plants in this room are moving faster. Some are moving slower. Some are taller. Some are shorter. Some are more compact. Some are more open. Some are extremely frosty. Some are focused on flower size. And then there are girls like this one... who somehow combine a little bit of everything. Compact. Dark. Frosty. Beautiful. And now... fast. 😂🦄🔥 That's a pretty interesting combination. ──────────────────────── 📸 THE CAMERA LOVES THIS GIRL ──────────────────────── There is something about her structure that makes photography particularly enjoyable. The darker foliage creates a beautiful background for the developing flowers. The flowers themselves are becoming more defined. The frost catches the light. And the little peculiarities give each photograph something to discover. Wide shot? Beautiful plant. Closer shot? Beautiful flowers. Macro? Oh... there's the magic. 😂📸❄️ That's the fun of this project. The same plant can look completely different depending on how close you get. And Frosted Guava gives us plenty to explore. ──────────────────────── 🌸 STACKING, BULKING & BUILDING ──────────────────────── We're starting to see all three. 🌸 Stacking. The flower structures are becoming more developed throughout the plant. ⚖️ Bulking. The flowers are gaining more presence and weight. 🌿 Building. The overall structure is becoming increasingly defined. And that combination is exactly what I want to see at this stage. She's not finished. She's not supposed to be. But she's moving. And she's moving beautifully. That's enough. Actually... that's more than enough. ──────────────────────── 😂 SHE'S NOT WAITING FOR ANYBODY ──────────────────────── There's something really funny about watching her now. Earlier in the run, I could describe her as: "She's taking her time." Now? Not really. 😂 She's decided that she's ready to move. And she's doing it. The plant isn't asking for permission. She's not checking the calendar. She's not asking what her sister is doing. She's just growing. Building. Flowering. Stacking. And getting heavier. That's exactly how I want it. The plant knows what she's doing. Our job is to support the process. ──────────────────────── 🔍 WHAT AM I WATCHING NOW? ──────────────────────── My questions for this girl are becoming increasingly interesting. 🌸 How much more will the flowers build? ❄️ How much further will the frost develop? ⚖️ How much more weight will she put on? 🦄 Will those unusual floral characteristics continue to develop? 🌿 How will her dark green foliage evolve as flowering progresses? And perhaps the biggest one: Where does this particular Frosted Guava phenotype decide to finish? I don't know. I'm not going to guess. I'm not going to put expectations on her. I'm simply going to keep watching. And honestly... that's much more fun. ──────────────────────── 💚 DON'T COMPARE HER TO THE PROMISE — WATCH THE PLANT ──────────────────────── This is something I've learned over the years. You can read descriptions. You can hear what other growers say. You can hear people rave about a particular genetics. And that's all interesting. But when the seed hits your own environment... the plant gets to tell you the truth. Not somebody else's expectation. Not somebody else's photograph. Not somebody else's phenotype. Yours. And Frosted Guava Pheno B is giving us her own answer. She's beautiful. She's moving quickly. She's stacking. She's developing. She's frosty. She's dark. She's becoming heavy. And she's doing it in this particular room, under this particular environment. That's the story I care about. ──────────────────────── 👑 THE SPOTLIGHT BELONGS TO HER ──────────────────────── So... Week 11. Frosted Guava Pheno B. The dark green girl. The frosty girl. The little unicorn. The girl who is suddenly moving much faster. 😂🦄❄️ She's becoming more substantial. We're not calling the finish line. We're not predicting the final outcome. We're simply watching the next chapter unfold. More flower development. More stacking. More weight. More resin. More colour. More photographs. And hopefully... more surprises from this little unicorn. 😂🦄 Whatever she decides to do next... Mar 31st Week 16 Changed nutrients to straight Dense Bud Compactor 1 gram/ litres @ 900-1000 ppm for 2 days CR # 1 showing signs of root wrought I removed the slimy parts of the roots and will watch closely On April 2nd I will add the rest of the nutrients to the existing solution April 2nd Fresh nutrients today, all nutrients added 8 litres of fresh water + 6 litres of the existing Dense Bud solution @ 1100 ppm CR # 1 is dying due to root wrought I removed most of the roots today. I changed all the water today with this one. I’m hoping to get it to harvest, but things don’t look good. I will probably flush this soon to harvest what I have. CR # 2 is doing fine as far as roots. Buds are smaller on this one but may fill out more with the Dense Bud Compactor. April 6th Switched CR # 1 to flush solution Root wrought was sever and unfortunately 90% of the root mass had to be removed Time to save what I have

Changed ns and cleaned out the tank. Set the fresh ns to EC 1.8 wich made an EC of 1.5 after flushing twice. pH is at 5.7 Thoughts: Ramping up to 1.5 might have been a little harsh- will turn up the light as well….. so they can make use of the food 😉. Using H2O2 along with the bio-complex could possibly harm the bacteria in the bio-complex…… next week i‘ll add H2O2 after filtering👍🏾. The babies look as good as they can, after their LST ………green starts getting darker and they start rising up the bent stems again. ……t.b.c.

The good weather is back so these babies are back outside!

Went with only the bloom360 nutrients this week. One gallon of water to start the week. Plants seem happy and healthy with a few little bud site hairs starting to show up. We’re looking to make a leap in some vertical growth and more bud sites this week. Many colas on both Plants at same level. So, we seem to have broken any dominance there.

D85/F41 - 24/06/23 - She's almost ready, I think I'll start the flush soon D86/F42 - 25/06/23 - Temp is still too high, I'm trying to refresh the environment with air conditioning D87/F43 - 26/06/23 - First Thricomes Video. Dutch Passions Shaman Ziemlich spontan habe ich mich entschieden Shamanin No. 1 in einen größeren Topf zu setzen. Der Ballen war bereits gut durchwurzelt. Shamanin No. 2 wird in den nächsten Wochen leiden. Ich komme regelmäßig nur einmal pro Woche zum gießen. Der Kompost hält die Feuchtigkeit aber sehr lange und so hoffe ich, dass sie die nächsten Wochen bis zur Ernte gut übersteht. Beide Damen haben eine dicke Mulchschicht aus Beinwell, Brennessel, Eibisch, Minze, Nachtkerze bekommen, Shamanin No. 2 zusätzlich oben auf ein bisschen frischen Kompost. Beide Pflanzen wachsen gesund und kräftig.

Week 16: *whewww* well technically this is the first full week of Flower... I followed the directions and went to 18/6 for "Early Flower".. but in the future I will refer to this as pre-flower and will start this about a month before going into Flower... I think this helps make the flip more pronounced and will help with a more consistent flower in my tent. Who knows tho? We do see pistils - so that's exciting... and tbh I was saying we vegged for too long.. but who knows, maybe we will have an extensive root system and will be able to support larger buds! Nothing is really a loss at this point, and I will say I'm even learning more about myself. I'm a thinker I like to process things, I like doing it with people.. and I don't mind making mistakes... but I rather them be calculated.. So I know what to do or not to do in the future... I'm realizing my partner is more of a tinkerer.. he always has big ideas and likes to use his energy to move toward them.... I think we complement each other because my thoughts would've led me toward stopping the growth of this project a long time ago.. but I'm happy it's still going!

We have a runner. She's growing to the sun 🌞 can't wait to get her outside. The male I grew was extremely tall I'm going to keep her short and bushy, hopefully. One of my favorite daytime strains for an uplifting mood that I've had so far.

I’ll update ya’ll on the smells and tastes after drying and curing! So far both are packed with ice and smell very potent, a little overpowering still, so I want to give it some time before they’re cures and can show their true terpene profile!
