Sep 7: what a great plant. Totally love how it’s going. Flowers keep getting fatter and heavier and she’ll be done before the end of September. Sep 8: there a tree root sticking up a bit in my yard which means the plant can be tilted toward the late afternoon sun. This is helpful because the sun is getting really low to the horizon already and we’re down to 13 h of daylight. Plus now direct sun is done in my yard by about 6 pm. Indirect light is okay but you really want direct sun at all times. Videos shows use of 730 nm far red light at dusk. Just a few seconds is all it takes to set the plant into dark mode two hours faster. It’s a bloom booster because you get two bonus hours of darkness or a 26 h day. Very effective but don’t miss a night and you have to adjust the timing each night. When starting this on July 20 Civil Twilight, as listed on timeanddate.com for my location, was at 9:45 and today it was at 8:40 pm. The red light at dusk is a highly recommended trick if you have daily access to your outdoor plants. Also works indoors, of course, and on autos too. Also I think it helps ‘stabilize’ the plant by emphatically putting it into dark mode, and therefore less susceptible to stray light to cause a hermie. Have not had hermie problems in four seasons of using the red light so that is my only ‘proof’ but it is true so far, even with taking flash pics before using the red light. Sep 9: getting heavier and now more branches are weighed down and slumping against the scrog net. Nice problem to have, I know, and without the scrog net some of the branches would be breaking off now. She’s now officially too big and too top heavy to keep moving around the yard in pursuit of direct sun. Sun is much lower to horizon now and direct sun hours are dropping too. Sep 10: getting close to done and getting very top heavy. Awesome. Sep 12: raining today. Has been cool last few nights and some purple colour is just starting to show. I don’t want to overdo fertilizer near the end, but I decided she is showing K deficiency. I’m out of malted barley but I still have potassium silicate, so I used that and some cal-mag. I’m avoiding kelp and molasses or using more P at this late stage because that can make the dried bud hard to burn and that really sucks. So, potassium silicate and cal-mag it is. The potassium silicate raises the pH and it takes about the same volume of vinegar to get the pH down. A good does of acetate is likely good for the bugs in the soil too. Then a squirt of Dr Bronners soap as a surfactant and that also supplies some biodegradable carbon for the bugs in the soil. Seems to work overall and is cheap. both seeds grew upside down so it took 2 weeks to sprout upside rite then one seed stopped growing till i hand removed shell casing from been leaves and then started moving again with photothensis turning her green and alive once more have had a very slow germination need at least a few weeks in veg its going to be cutting it very close for time to harvest bubba cheesecake

First week! What a joy! This Banana Purple Punch is off to a great start, popping out of the soil with no shell on. Spending 36hrs in water, 36hrs in a paper towel, then 48hrs under the soil before popping her head up into the light. The light schedule I'm following is 20/4 under two 100w LEDs running around 80% at 650mm above the babies. They're receiving 150-200umol's at roughly 11-14 DLI. Organic medium and nutes so just watering in around 200mL of dechlorinated water at 6.6 pH per day. I figured I want to get this medium nice and moist for the microbes to thrive so I've been bottom watering 200mL extra every other day, with a gap day today as the pots are nice and weighty now. I'm running my ventilation on an hour on, hour off schedule during Veg to take the pressure off my heaters and humidifier. (power bill) We're heading into winter and my grow is in an insulated lung room in my garage, so the fresh air can get down past 0 celcius and 30% humidity although the heaters keep the environment at 23-25 degrees celcius. A few trials I'm working through, but the environment is pretty steady and I'm a happy gardener so far. Welcome baby BPP 🍌

Well wow . This is quite a new and exciting experience for me . These FAST strains by humbolt seem like the way to go . 1. Great explosion if growth but without stretching the distance between nodes is so tight I swear they crossed it with an actual BUSH . So its didnt just get lanky as F it grew stew girth just as quick as height . 2. Great healthy .... EVERYTHING . Frow roots to cola and everything in between. 3. Response to training is 5 out of 5 . Almost can watch them grow. This gives the "good" grower a huge advantage because recovery time seem to go from a weak of healing with the photosensitive to a 3-4 days with the fast

Lots of defoliation this week as mildew continues to spread. I have now found the right balance of H2O2 and water foliar spray. I have also added an additional fan and new fresh air hose.

Sep 21: fall is here with 12 h of darkness and red tinted sunlight both of which help with flowering. One problem with growing dope here is the UV light is weak this far North in the fall so for most people it’s better to just do autos outdoors and timing it so they ripen during the stronger summer sun and you’re done by the end of August. But if you want reliable big yields these fast flowering photoperiods are definitely the best choice. Sep 23: seems a bit off colour so I added some Alaska Fish Fertilizer for N. Always warming the water to about 26C these days to help keep the plant and soil bacteria warm and happy. Sep 25: this plant and Bruce both got blown over twice today. This is because the small 5 gallon bags aren’t big and heavy enough. The plants are fine. Oh well, the advantage is that I can move them around easily to maximize direct sun. Don’t take flash pics of your plants unless you’re going to immediately use a 730 nm far red light to put the plants into dark mode. It’s a great trick as a bloom booster and moves up finishing time here by a couple or three weeks. Sep 27: harvest will be tomorrow because of some bad weather moving in. Tomorrow will be okay but then rain and cold overnight and even snow forecast for late next week. C’est La vie.

At day 18 i topped her. I’m really curious how she’s handle the stress. In the next few days I will bend her down a little and installing a net to hold the plant small. We are ending week 3 shortly! She handled the topping very good. No signs of slowing down her grow or any deficiency. I did some LST after topping but one of the main branches snapped half through. She damaged side still performs exactly like the intact one. I try to be patient and careful with the bending of this branch. I taped the location and try to not bend it hardly anymore.

She smells and looks amazing! I’ll have to dry and cure before I taste, but the aroma she’s putting off is that of a deep berry smell with some serious lemony diesel undertones. I love it so much, her trichs are thick, and almost all cloudy, (I opted for a bit of an early harvest because I have surgery tomorrow) resin production is off the charts, just lightly touching the buds while they’re still on the plant left my fingers sticking together. Big ups to Fastbuds Genetics for this cultivar. Definitely gonna be a restock soon.

The NTfucks are looking great! Even the more rigid one got looser, so it's easier to work with it, it also showed signs of pre-flower, I guess it's because I stressed it quite a lot last week. I'm really looking forward to seeing them flower!
