02/11 Et voila! L'affaire est faite. Il me manque certainement quelque grammes perdu suite au blocage de l'excès de nutriment mais je suis plutôt content du résultat.

Day 77 (f15): The Runtz is stretching considerably more than the Kosher Dawg (which will need to be elevated - probably by putting planks under the dwc reservoir). Ran out of Plagron nutrients and couldn't find anymore! So I bought the only ones available at the hydro store 'hy-pro hydro A & B), these nutrients are much less concentrated and I already used up near to half a litre of nutrients on my reservoir change day (yesterday)! The yellow tips on the Runtz seem to be light stress, as during the res change the nutrient dosage was lowered and ph maintained between 5.7-6.1 and she shows she is hungry but the yellow tips got slightly worse to the light is 15cm higher now. Nice strong vegetative smell releases when I rub any part of the plants :D It is getting difficult to take pictures where you can actually see the size of the plants because the space is so packed! Can't wait to do the heavy defoliation after the stretch (in like 5-7 days from now)! Day 80 (f18) update: 😀 The Kosher Dawg stretched 8-10cm since day f15. EC and PH very stable at 1.5 and 5.9. During the next water res change, when all the water is out of the res (so it weighs less) I will try add planks under the reservoir to elevate the Kosher Dawg to a height similar to that of the Runtz (currently approx 15 cm difference in height). The Kosher Dawg took longer to start stretching than the Runtz and the bud development started later. Does this mean I should also do the 'day 21 defoliation' - which should be between the stretch and the focus on bud height development - a few days later for this Kosher Dawg than for the Runtz? Looking forward to defoliating and finding out what she is truly packing under all those fan leaves! 😃

Was für ein toller Strain. Die Pflanze wuchs von Anfang an sehr stark. Sie brauchte wenig Nährstoffe und hat sich nach nur 4 Wochen Vegitationsphase sehr schnell entwickelt. 7 1/2 Wochen nach Umstellung auf 12/12 war sie für meinen Geschmack fertig. Sie ist voll von Trichomen und der Duft erobert innerhalb von Sekunden den Raum. Jetzt darf sie Trocknen und fermentieren. Sobald sie fertig ist gibt es einen Rauchbericht. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!!!!

Should start filling out this week🙏 going into week8? I think, I have been having to water more frequently, good sign! Let the BUDSWEL SWELL! My Buddy used his Pixel 2 for pics hopeing y'all like them. Jan 24 2018 My girls were under a 150watt cfl and an additional 80watt for past 3 days my Bloom channel died on my ( just repaired LED) and sent it back . Today I received a brand new LED to replace old one. Great customer service and the girl's look no worse off . new led running 100% grow and bloom channels.

Comeing along. Not shown any signs of over or under fed they have handled the heat not too bad been up to 30c although not for long. Starting to fatten up now also. Smells so nice

Added 1 tablespoon of baking soda per gallon to watering and we are back to 6.5 24 hours later and holding, Pottasium becomes much harder to uptake with low ph and it was starting to cause yellowing and minor dark spots common from ph potassium deficiency, more understanding I gain of ph and its role to each individual nutrient, I'm going to raise to 7.0. Anthocyanins are a type of flavonoid, a family of powerful antioxidants that fight the effects of aging and oxidative stress. To date, more than 635 different anthocyanins have been identified. What is the color of anthocyanins, and what does this tell us about where we can find them? The definition of anthocyanins is “blue, violet, or red flavonoid pigments found in plants.” In regard to anthocyanin’s structure, anthocyanins are water-soluble, glycoside pigments that can vary in color depending on their specific pH. The exact type of anthocyanin that a fruit or veggie contains is partially what determines how deeply red, purple, violet, blue or even orange it will be. This is one reason why the same food, such as eggplants or onions, can come in many different shades. Here’s the cool thing about most antioxidants: Not only do they benefit you when you eat them, but they also benefit the plants that contain them too. Plants produce phytochemicals like anthocyanin as a protective mechanism; phytochemicals help build plants’ resistance and protect them from being destroyed. For example, anthocyanin can offer a plant protection from being eaten by predators (like bugs, birds or rodents) and from environmental stressors like ultraviolet light, cold temperatures and drought. What do anthocyanins do inside the body once we consume them? We still have a lot to learn to about the exact bioactivity, uptake, absorption and roles of phytonutrients, including anthocyanin. We do know that anthocyanins seem to play a role in fighting free radical damage, which leads to aging and the formation of numerous diseases. (3) Beyond their capacity to fight free radicals/oxidative stress, anthocyanins have many other effects when it comes to protecting cells, tissues and vital organs that we’re still uncovering. For example, research suggests that anthocyanins have positive effects on gut health when they interact with microflora, which can help decrease inflammatory markers associated with many chronic diseases, plus they can support hormonal balance. What are the health benefits of anthocyanins? Some of the conditions that research suggests anthocyanins may help prevent include: Cardiovascular disease and risk factors, such as high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries Cancer Impaired immune function Diabates Neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia Symptoms of poor cognitive function, including poor memory and trouble concentrating Fatigue Poor recovery from exercise/physical activity Vision loss Obesity 1. Protection Against Cardiovascular/Heart Disease Overall, many studies have found that having just one to two(or ideally more) servings of anythocyanin-rich foods per day can protect you from problems from high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis. While it’s great to have antioxidant-rich foods every day, even having them several times per week can improve your health. One finding from the Iowa Women’s Health Study, which included more than 34,000 postmenopausal women, found that women who consumed anthocyanin-rich strawberries and blueberries once per week or more experienced significant reductions in risk of death from heart disease/coronary artery disease. (4) Another large body of research from the Nurses’ Health Study I and II, which followed over 46,000 women from and 23,000 men for more than a decade, found evidence that the those with the highest intakes of anthocyanin (especially from blueberries and strawberries) had a significantly decreased risk for developing hypertension, myocardial infarction and/or having a heart attack compared to those with the lowest intake. (5) This was true even after controlling for other factors like exercise level, family history and BMI. Anthocyanin benefits for diabetes and pancreatic disorders have also been unearthed in recent years, and again the efficacy is attributed to the multiple, simultaneous biological effects these pigments cause in the body, including prevention of generation of free radicals, decreased lipid peroxidation, reduced pancreatic swelling, and decreased blood sugar concentrations in urine and blood serum. (6) 2. Improved Immune Function Anthocyanin bioflavonoids may provide protection from DNA damage and lipid peroxidation, plus they have anti-inflammatory effects and help boost production of cytokines that regulate the immune responses. They have also been shown to support hormonal balance by reducing estrogenic activity, help regulate enzyme production that aids nutrient absorption, and strengthen cell membranes by making them less permeable and fragile. (7) 3. Protection Against Cancer Research suggests that anthocyanin can decrease the risk of developing various types of cancer due to its antioxidant, anticarcinogenic and anti-inflammatory effects. This has been demonstrated in both in vitro and in vivo research trials in humans and animals. Studies show that anthocyanins have the ability to naturally fight cancer by blocking cell proliferation and inhibiting tumor formation by interfering with the process of carcinogenesis. One way anthocyanins inhibit tumorigenesis by blocking activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase pathways. (8) Anthocyanin - Dr. Axe 4. Improved Cognitive Function Studies have found that diets high in antioxidants like anthocyanin lead to a reversal in certain age-related deficits that affect neural and behavioral parameters, including memory and motor functions. Anthocyanins have been credited with protecting memory, coordination and neural function in older populations. One study out of Korea found that administration of isolated anthocyanins from purple sweet potato enhanced cognitive performance and inhibited lipid peroxidation in brain tissues in mice. (9) 5. Enhanced Exercise Performance and Recovery Antioxidants seem to improve physical performance by lowering exhaustion and the negative effects of excessive oxygen and radical accumulation during physical activities. In one double-blinded clinical trial that involved 54 female and male athletes, when one group was given 100 milligrams of anthocyanin pills per day for six weeks, the participants in that group were found to experience a significant improvement in their VO2 max (maximal oxygen consumption) compared to the second group that received 100 milligrams of placebo pills daily. (10) Some studies have also found that fruit juices that contain anthocyanins, such as 100 percent tart cherry and blueberry juices, have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that wind up positively influencing muscle damage following exercise and the ability to properly recover. (11) There’s even evidence from animal studies that anthocyanins consumed as part of a high-fat diet can help inhibit both body weight and adipose tissue increases. (12) 6. Enhanced Vision and Eye Health Anthocyanin has been shown to help enhance night vision and overall vision by protecting the eyes from free radical damage. One study found that oral intake of anthocyanosides from black currants resulted in significantly improved night vision in adults. Research suggests that the enhancement of rhodopsin regeneration and protection against inflammation are at least two mechanisms by which anthocyanins improve sight and protect the eyes. (13)

31-08-2019 Purple Kush started today after 12 weeks of low H5 light cycle is is good to get her into the new system Nutrition will be doubled on the next Nutrition Change out in 7 days. So far! All variables are under control. I like the fact I can turn the tap and check accurately and adjust if needed unlike soil unless you are using a soil kit all the time. 😎 Pump work 15 min intervals pumping Nutritional spray. 2 different Air flows 1) in solution with air stone and 2) open wand spray inside directed at the roots to provide additional oxygen.

March 20, 2019: The girls have transitioned nicely into the flower room. I’m seeing them all start to stretch out and all showing definite signs of their femininity. The DinaMed CBD+ is still the tallest, but the CBD MediKush is catching up quickly. The 4 Cherry CBD Hemp plants are all smaller so far. But the Jobe’s fertilizer spikes seems fine so far. No signs of deficiencies or issues after the first week. Watering with living water (tap water with a few ounces of fish tank water mixed in per gallon) or just straight tap water (well water). The girls remaining in the veg tent are doing OK. They really need to be transplanted into larger containers. I’m going to go shopping this weekend looking for square nursery pots for transplanting into.

The flowering stretch seems to have slowed down and most of the growth is going into the buds now. The buds are forming up into long colas, and trichomes are forming up to frost the buds a little bit. One of the buds in the middle of the canopy grew into the light on f26 and got a little bit burnt. Otherwise coming along well and getting pretty smelly when touched. I trimmed off some of the lower branches towards the end of the week, and will probably be trimming more off on res cleaning day.

Ended up having to remove the bottom two fan leaves. Did not want to put the went complete yellow on me. Oh well. Right now I'm working on the exterior root. It is turning green so that's awesome. It's going to keep going. I think I will try to get it to make its way up the drain hole that way I can completely uncover it.

LSD — Week 12 12/12 from seed. Late flower. Full expression. Quiet hands, heavy flowers. This is the stage where the grow starts asking less from us — and more from our patience. By now, most of the work is already done. Structure is built. Feeding has done its job. Environment has stayed stable. Roots have carried the weight. And now the plant is doing what it was always meant to do: Finish. This is not the week for chasing numbers. Not the week for aggressive changes. Not the week for “fixing” what clearly isn’t broken. This is the week for restraint. For observation. For letting the plant complete the final chapter on its own terms. And LSD is doing exactly that. ⸻ Quick recap — how we got here This run was never about force. It was about rhythm. From the start, LSD showed what stable genetics + stable conditions can do when they’re allowed to work without interruption. No dramatic swings. No constant corrections. No overhandling. No chasing deficiencies that weren’t there. No feeding for ego. Just consistent inputs, controlled environment, steady root-zone conditions, and enough discipline to leave healthy plants alone. That’s what built this finish. Now, in week 12, we’re seeing the result of every quiet decision made weeks ago: * strong vertical structure * dense flower stacking * steady resin production * proper late-flower fade * increasing floral mass * and a plant that is still focused on ripening, not surviving That matters. Because this stage is no longer about growth. It is about conversion. The plant is no longer trying to become bigger. It is trying to become heavier, louder, stickier, and more chemically complete. And it shows. ⸻ Late flower, properly explained This is one of the most misunderstood stages in the cycle. To newer growers, this phase can look confusing. Leaves begin to fade. White hairs begin to darken. Growth appears slower. The plant drinks differently. Some leaves curl. Some flowers swell unevenly. The plant looks “older.” And that is exactly what should be happening. This is not decline. This is maturation. Late flower is the point where the plant shifts energy away from expansion and into completion. That means: * less vertical push * less fresh green growth * slower water demand * increased resin output * calyx swelling * terpene maturation * pistil oxidation * nutrient drawdown from stored reserves The plant is not slowing down because something is wrong. It is slowing down because it is finishing correctly. ⸻ Trichomes — what they are, and what they are not This is where the real story is now. Trichomes are not “frost.” They are not cosmetic sparkle. They are not just visual proof that a plant “looks strong.” And they are definitely not just sugar. Trichomes are glandular resin heads — microscopic biochemical factories built by the plant. Their job is protection. They exist to defend the flower from: * UV stress * heat * dehydration * pests * fungal pressure * environmental stress And inside those tiny resin glands is where the plant stores much of what we care about most: * cannabinoids * terpenes * flavonoids * volatile compounds * aromatic oils So when we say a plant is “getting frosty,” what we actually mean is: The plant is reaching peak resin production and chemical expression. That frost is chemistry made visible. And right now, LSD is deep in that phase. The resin is no longer just forming. It is maturing. That distinction matters. Early trichomes are mostly clear — immature, still developing, not yet fully expressed. Then they move cloudy/milky — peak cannabinoid development, strongest active expression. Then amber begins — oxidation, degradation, and chemical transition into later-stage ripeness. This is why trichomes matter more than pistils. More than fan leaves. More than fade. Because trichomes tell you what the flower is doing chemically — not just visually. And right now, these plants are no longer building resin. They are finishing it. ⸻ The “curl” in the leaves One of the easiest late-flower details to misread. At this stage, some sugar leaves begin to curl, claw, or fold inward around the flower. New growers often panic here. But in late flower, this is often not a feeding issue. It is not always heat. It is not automatically toxicity. Sometimes, very simply: There is just too much flower and too much resin sitting on too little leaf. At this point the plant is carrying weight, stacking density, and coating nearby leaf tissue in resin so heavily that those small leaves begin to tighten, curl, and fold into the flower. It is a late-stage pressure response. Part mechanical. Part environmental. Part genetic. Very often normal. Context matters. And in this context — dense tops, heavy trichome load, stable temps, no major stress signals — this reads like maturity, not trouble. ⸻ Pistils — why the white hairs are changing This is another classic late-flower marker. Those white hairs are pistils. Early on, they emerge bright white as the flower actively builds and reaches. As the flower matures, those pistils begin to: * darken * curl inward * oxidize * retract into swollen calyx tissue That change from white to orange/brown is not the plant “dying.” It is the flower aging into ripeness. Fresh white pistils usually signal active new flower development. Darkened pistils usually signal that part of the flower is maturing and beginning to finish. This is why late flower often shows both at once: * older pistils darkening * newer pistils still pushing That is normal. Flowers do not ripen all at once. They ripen in layers. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing now. ⸻ Feeding — why less is doing more This is the point where overfeeding does more harm than underfeeding. The plant no longer needs to be pushed. It needs to be allowed to finish. Right now the feed is still simple, controlled, and appropriate: * Pure Zym * Sugar Royal * CalMag Pro * Terra Bloom * Power Buds * Green Sensation Nothing excessive. Nothing chaotic. No late-game bottle collecting. No panic additives. Just enough to support: * final bulking * resin maturity * metabolic efficiency * clean finish That’s the right move here. And yes — next week is likely the point where feedings begin to step down or stop entirely. Not because the plant is starving. Because the plant is done demanding. That’s the difference. Late flower feeding is not about force-feeding weight. It is about supporting the final metabolic steps without leaving excess behind. The closer we get to harvest, the less the plant needs to be fed — and the more it needs to be left alone. ⸻ Environment — why nothing is changing This room is still stable. And stable is exactly what late flower wants. * 26°C day * 18°C night * 60% RH * ~21°C root zone * ~18°C solution * 12/12 unchanged * CO₂ stable * watering controlled And most importantly: The plants clearly like it. So we do not change what is working just because we are close to harvest. Late flower is not the time to start experimenting. Not the time to suddenly drop temperatures. Not the time to force stress. Not the time to chase color. Not the time to “improve” a stable room. Consistency is what got the plants here. Consistency is what finishes them properly. ⸻ Weight gain — where the real growth is now The plant is not stretching anymore. But it is absolutely still growing. Just differently. This is density growth now. Mass growth. Calyx stacking. Internal swelling. Resin thickening. Water redistribution. Final weight. This is where flowers stop looking bigger every day — but start feeling heavier every day. That is late flower. Less visible movement. More invisible gain. And this is where growers who harvest too early lose the most. Not because the plant looked unfinished. Because the final weight had not landed yet. That weight is landing now. ⸻ What to expect next week Next week is likely transition week. Not dramatic. Not aggressive. Just the beginning of the final slowdown. Expect: * less water demand * slower daily movement * more pistil darkening * more calyx swelling * heavier tops * continued fade * trichomes shifting deeper into maturity * feed reduction or full stop approaching This is the point where observation becomes more important than intervention. The job next week is simple: Watch closely. Touch less. Finish clean. ⸻ Final thoughts This is one of the most beautiful parts of the cycle. Not because it is explosive. Because it is precise. This is where good structure becomes good flower. Where patience becomes weight. Where resin becomes chemistry. Where restraint becomes quality. LSD is no longer trying to impress. It is trying to finish. And it is doing that exactly right.
