What a ride this one was. From the first spark of life in the Cannakan to the final aromatic breath from the Groove Bags, this Super Silver Haze journey was everything—a perfect reflection of the plant herself: bright, strong, unpredictable, and utterly timeless.
Three seeds were germinated — all three came out strong, though one was shy. From there, two phenos took the lead, both with stunning vigor, hybrid leaves, and perfectly compact growth. Throughout veg and flower, they mirrored each other so closely it felt like growing twins.
There were highs — lush foliage, incredible root growth, and perfect structure — and there were lows — a bout of bud rot, handled quickly and carefully. But like in life, every setback was a lesson. The environment taught us, the plants guided us, and we adapted.
💧 Feeding & Soil
The foundation of this run was a custom super soil charged with Aptus Holland amendments — Mycor-Mix, Micro-Mix, and Substrate Buffer Powder.
Throughout veg and early flower, the girls enjoyed a balanced routine of:
Aptus Regulator – For strength & stress control
Aptus CalMag Boost – Supporting cell structure
Plagron Power Buds, Sugar Royal & Green Sensation – Enhancing bloom, resin & sweetness
Aptus All-in-One Liquid & Top Booster – Brought in at key stages for balance and final push
By the final weeks, we tapered down to pure water — a gentle flush that allowed the plant to use her own reserves. This stage is vital; it purifies the flavor, softens the smoke, and reveals the true essence of the strain.
🌬️ The Harvest
The girls were harvested whole and dried for about 14 days at 60°F (15.5°C) and 60% RH, the perfect “60/60” for slow, even drying.
Branches were ready when they snapped cleanly — a satisfying sound of readiness.
Trimming was done entirely by hand on a Trim Bin, using Zamnesia curved blade scissors — slow, patient, and meditative. Frost everywhere. The gloves were covered in resin, leaving behind sticky charas that smelled like pure nostalgia.

In this dairy I will be growing two, Big Kush photoperiod plants alongside 4 others (see other dairies) using the methods of Topping, Low Stress Training, ScrOG and slight defoliation under the screen. I am growing in a 4x4 area and will be using a 250W MH, 400W & 600W HPS over the grow period. The other 4 plants will be grown using the same technique and environment, I am just splitting the dairies into separate strains as recommended by GrowDairies.
The seeds were placed directly into solo cups that were pre-soaked with plan, pH'd water overnight beforehand. After three days all seedlings had emerged, and I placed them in the shadow of my other plants currently being grown for three more days. After this I transplanted them directly into the 11L pots that they will be in until harvest (see photos).
I will be growing the plants until the are roughly 6 weeks old or 1m tall, whichever comes first. I will be bending them and keeping the branches low to build an even canopy, so this time period could change. All of the seedlings are being grown in BioBizz all-mix soil, so I will not be using nutrients either for the first 1-2 weeks.

So, absolutely against the recommendation I received from a friend of mine who's been growing for 20+ years, I pruned/defoliated my plants up a bit this week.
I decided to for a few reasons.
- the plants were really dense with foliage, many leaves overlapping and pushing other leaves
- most of the bud sites were shaded under several layers of leaves
- the leaves pilling up would have been restricting airflow quite a lot, I want to prevent budrot or mold by increasing aeration
- I wanted to control where the plants were growing, and focus their energy into the buds
- with this being an outdoor grow late in the season with less sun I felt it was more important to expose the developing buds to the sun
With all that said, I think my plants have responded extremely well to the pruning in the last few days.
I've never pruned or defoliated before so this is going to serve as a test for me. I like doing new things and seeing what happens. No matter what, these plants look really good right now and I'm sure I'll get a decent harvest, I'm trying to push it from decent to fantastic.
My PPM is a bit high, though none of the plants look like they're being hindered by it. I did a partial water change on 2 of the 3 (the one in the 3 gallon bucket and the one that looks more like and indica). The 3 gallon bucket plant was at a PPM of 5000ish so I made sure to get it more in line with the other two, and with the partial water change I got it to around 2000. The other plants are sitting at right about 3000. I will continue to monitor the plants and check PPM, if it doesn't go down next week I think I'll do another partial water change. I want to keep pumping in nutrient while preventing any burn or lockout.
Trichomes are no observable on the two plants in larger buckets. The smaller bucket plant was the last to sprout, so it's about a week or two behind the others.
This week has been pretty poor weather where I'm at. Lots of rain and clouds. I've kept the plants under cover but still in direct sunlight. This coming week is supposed to be clear sky again so I'll move them to capture the most light once the rain stops.
I know defoliation is debatable, especially with outdoor grows, but I like to push boundaries.
Here's a list of the things I've done with this grow:
- kratky method hydroponics (other than a partial water change I have added no water since starting in buckets, no airstone, no pump)
- Winter grow (shortest light period of the year here)
- Topping (and it looks like one is more like FIMing, also one grew as if it were topped without my input)
- Dense nutrient load (I've added more nutrient in this grow than any grow I have previously done. Mostly because I never achieved super large buds and I'm really aiming for that this time)
- Water change (like an aquarium, I've never done a water change other than flush before, this week called for it with the high PPM which I think was residual from nutrient loading in veg so I wanted to make sure there's room for the flower nutes)
- Defoliation/pruning (nothing too crazy or drastic, started this week and don't plan to trim again unless I see a need to)

1 - 03/27 - Starting up week #2. New light is installed, will be monitoring the set up now since the new light is 800w. Tent temperature peaked yesterday at 85. Added a big fan in the tent and an additional fan for circulation outside of the tent as well. Going to need my air scrubber sooner than later to help keep my temps in check. Likely need a cool mist humidifier as well now. Woohoo. At least they are all still standing!
2 - 03/27 - The new LED at 800 watts is far too much. The tent was heating up uncontrollably past 86, so I decided to take it back and grab the single 400 for the time being. That way at a later date I can upgrade to a secondary 400 and still pull equal wattage. Also added a 6in inline fan to help keep the tent cooler. Sitting around 76 -80 now so I'm pretty happy with it. The 400 run quite a bit cooler than the 800 does. The 800 brought my tent up another 10 degrees whereas the 400 unit sits my tent up at 3 degrees. All in all, feeling good about the swap and new lights. Time will tell if I need anything additional come first week of flower
03 - 03/31 - Almost nearing the end of week 2. The girls are doing amazing. Candy Cane is finally catching up and everybody is filling out now. Super cool to see what a week does! 🌱
Each of the ladies received some very light LST last night. Light pull on the leaves downwards to pull the top open and create some more developmental growth. I also decided to run a really light liquid nutrient cycle. I'll post the product and details tonight. Happy growing! 🌱
- Made an executive decision mid morning and decided that 1.5/2g is not a big enough finished pot size for the EM Auto. I moved her to a 5. I was really sceptical since she's doing the best for vegetative growth out of the group but decided to embark on the risk. I consider it a move and not a transplant at this point. When I moved her, I cut the fabric pot in 6 spots down to the base. I let some of the loose dirt fall into a tray and prepared the 5g to accept the 1.5g transfer. I used a single table spoon of the gia green power bloom and coated the hole. I gently misted the outside of the remaining dirt and the EM root base and picked nearly the whole plant up with little to no disturbance whatsoever. (80% of the total potted plant and coco stayed in tact). She went in beautifully and still looks happy. I guess we'll see how much damage has been done come harvest. Fingers crossed that she didn't feel a thing. 👍🌱

Hello, fin de la semaine 7, et de la semaine 1 de floraison. Les plantes ont vraiment bien récupérées de la défoliation de la semaine dernière. Elles sont déjà pleines de nouvelles feuilles! C’est dingue.. un génétique vraiment solide.
Pour le moment les plantes n’ont pas encore déclaré leur floraison, elles commence à stretcher je trouve, donc je suppose que c’est en bonne voie.
J’ai légèrement baissé l’humidité, je suis à 50%, et je vais réduire progressivement les prochaines semaines.
J’ai eu une très très légère brûlure du à un démarrage peu être trop rapide des engrais de Floraison mais sans grand dégâts. A retenir pour la prochaine fois.
Voilà c’est à peu près tout pour cette semaine. Hâte de voir la floraison s’installer...

Hello Diary.
The first week of flowering on my little farm is over, so I started photographing the plants in more detail and I will now start photographing on a black background as well now that they are much more interesting and beautiful. 😍
I changed the light regime in the Box, now the plants have 4 hours of darkness and 20 hours of light.
As you can see in the photos, Fat Banana grew 72cm in the first 30 days which I would say is the average for Automatic on my Farm. Compared to Haze Berry it is slightly lower, but considering the strain, it was also to be expected.
We’ll see how much more it will grow, I hope it stays lower than 100cm. 😏
My plan is to do defoliation in a day or two. Watering has become quite difficult due to the amount of leaves and branches but I think it will come in handy to aerate them anyway.
The flowers develop nicely and there are many of them, Fat Banana is not somehow symmetrical, the branches developed differently, so it looks a little strange, but I really like it because of its naturalness.
I still add BioBizz as scheduled for the current week and add CalMag but only preventively in a smaller dose. Watering is on average every two to three days.
Another Haze Berry who keep her company on the Farm, I put in the middle and put a pot underneath to bring it closer to the light. It is now a real little jungle on the Farm so defoliation is a must.
I am satisfied with how the plants are developing, they have good conditions and I think they are enjoying my "Little Farm". 😎
Let’s take a look at what happened this week.
17/10/2020 - Day 23.
Watering and changing the light. I added BioBizz according to the schedule for the first week of flowering, I replaced Fish-Mix with Bio-Grow. I still add 1.5 ml / lit of CalMag for prevention. p.H. I dropped to 6.6 with Plagron’s Lemon Kick.
After watering I changed the light mode to 20/4.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.2 degrees and 41% humidity.
20/10/2020 - Day 26.
Watering. Same procedure as three days ago. p.H - 6.5
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 26.2 degrees and 43% humidity.
22/10/2020 - Day 28.
Photographing and measuring plant height. Since the beginning of flowering, the motives for photography have doubled , so the number of photos has increased.
Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.5 degrees and 45% humidity.
Fat Banana Auto - Day 28. - 72 cm

The Strawberry’s received 1 liter 2 times on 12/8, 11, 13. Cadillac 1 got an extra 500ml on 13th.
All the gals bounced back after the topping. The FIM I attempted on Cadillac1 did not work. I will let her grow out as is, maybe some LST. This gal already drinks more than the others and after I took pictures, 2 big fan leaves show nitrogen deficiency. So, she needs more food than the others. All the girls had 5-6 inches of growth this week.

End of cultivation of a landrace, probably Manga Rosa, due to the smell and flavor, in addition to other characteristics (sativa, long-flowering, style of flowers).
3.7 liters (1 gallon) = 58 grams / 2.04 oz (flowers without branches)
Using 120w lm301h-evo, together with another plant in the same environment.
Last week just water, two small flushes, to clean the soil a little, but nothing excessive. 7 days drying, dark, well-ventilated environment, without direct wind. And now cure for at least a month, trying a little each week.
I killed her when she was 93 days old, with 12 hours of light from the beginning, it seemed automatic. Because she is almost or completely sativa, perhaps another 2 weeks could be good for her, but I wanted a cultivation period of around 3 months, which was cool, but I believe that for a 90-day cultivation period, it is better to use some hybrid or indicates, as they develop faster. Sativas are aggressive in their expansionism and slow in flowering. Leaves and branches saved for later extraction, probably ice hash.

My Lit Marker plant is finally starting to take off! It's still on the smaller side, but it's showing some really promising growth. The nodes are nice and tight, so it looks like it's going to stack up beautifully. I'm excited to see how this one develops – it's definitely a late bloomer, but I've got a good feeling about it!
This past week has been a whirlwind of work, leaving little time for anything else. My phone's camera roll is sadly neglected, with only a few snapshots to show for it. But finally, I'm finding a moment to catch up on my grow diaries. It's been exciting to see the progress, even if it's just through photos. I'm looking forward to documenting the next stage!

This week I have adjusted the ties on all the my plants , some defoliation and lst.
I have given them a KNF foliar feed with Fish Amino Acid , Lactobacillus and WCA .
Lumatek is now at 100%.

******** Week 7 - January 20 to 26, 2020 (Days 43 to 49 from germination)
She continuers to impress with her resilience as I have thrown a couple of curves at her.......but she continues to fatten and grow her buds😎 It was also not without learning though and thats what is so cool about growing this plant.......you always seem to leave a grow feeling like you could do even better next time and therefore challenging yourself to do better......and have dab while doing it😂
Not sure if I have a little different pheno but if I ran her again I would find a way to train her out wider. 5 gal pot diameter idea........maybe don’t fill with as much medium? Again, simply to keep light hitting all the lower sites. Where does the “XL” come into play as well I guess. Removed branches early on that were low. This grow, her narrow leaves have allowed a lot of light down below but it will be felt in a little less yield.....think the pH got a little high....or potassium excess......Terpinator too early? If left to a single cola she would be tall and have a huge cola I suspect......Gorilla Grow with the extension type of potential! She has loved the water feeds. Missed out bit by backing off of the CalMag a bit too much.....stems say deficiency that but leaves show toxicity? (Back to that you always feel you can do better thing😬)
Got a little crazy with the PPM and saw tip burn in week 7. Gave a quick little flush with RO water and Sensyzime to clean up the roots of the salts. Didn’t get crazy though because it was just the top leaves burnt. Been building the medium up to this point so don’t want to wash it all away just yet. She didn’t claw down and over night appeared to still keep moving forward with bud growth.
I did notice a small amount of hairs starting to turn red by weeks end......likely won’t be long before more are red and we go to flush👍 (Make it to end of week 8??) No rush though.......still lots of room to fatten up yet.
In the week a head there will be the last push to get her medium in as good a shape as my skills will warrant. I want to get a good 10 + days of flush but her leaves are going to finish dark from what I can see. Run-off has been reasonable though so will keep fingers crossed 😄🤞

Jan 20/20 - Day 43
- Drinking lots right now, close to 4L per day, so 2L plain water only in AM. 6.2pH,.
- Feed in PM was light as well. Sensyzime @ 2ml and LW8 & Rezin @ 1.5ml only. 2L given with 75ppm. 5.9pH
- She was given a good feeding yesterday.
- Buds sites are stacking.......she is making me 😃
Jan 21/20 - Day 44
- AM - 3L with Dual Fual A&B @ 1.5ml/L. 725ppm and 5.9pH.
- PM hit her again - full feeding minus Rhino Skin, Sensyzime and Vitrathrive and VeloKelp. 2.5L 1000ppm and 5.9pH.
- Runoff - 1100ppm and 5.9pH.
- top leaves were droopy so the extra feeding in the evening.
Jan 22/20 - Day 45
- Backing off quantity a bit and down to 2L feed in PM. Her pot was still fairly heavy.
- Mass & Terp @ 3ml, Rezin & LW8 & DF @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 0.5ml = 1300ppm
- Very perky today....standing up all the way down the plant. Liked the feed yesterday.
*******should have reduced this PPM feed......you want to push when you see potential😕
Jan 23/20 - Day 46
- Supplemental feeding only today. Happy so don't rock the boat :)
- Sensyzime @ 2ml, LW8 & Rezin @ 1.5ml = 80ppm 6.1pH
- 2L only today.....still some weight to the pot
Jan 24/20 - Day 47
- Nute burn on Green Poison’s tips seen today.
- Flushed through 7L of plain RO water pH to 5.95. - Runoff: 325ppm and 5.9pH.
- Followed right away with 2L more water with Sensyzime @ 3ml/L
- happy and praying in the evening......little surprising actually👊👌
Jan 25/20 - Day 48
- 2.5L of full strength feeding for this week.
- ppm for that was 1275 so watered down to 1100ppm.....only need 1ml of base nutes at full strength to hit roughly 1,000ppm.
- Runoff: 600ppm & 5.95pH
- Swear her leaves are bigger, more mass today!! Still narrow and dark though.
- she is 30” x 30” now
Jan 26/20 - Day 49
- Feed was full strength one for the week, 1150ppm 6.1pH.
- Removed some more leaves today.
- guessing only another 1.5 weeks of feeding.
